Open to all elderberry grads and anyone who fits the berry criteria: over 30, first trimester(ish) with #1 after trying for a long time, and nervous as hell. Come on in for handholding and nub theory!

Sounds like puppy is our market then. When puppy is happy to go, we all go?

Throwing up here on top of headache. Apparently I don't look as bad as I feel though which is a good thing

BlindKitty · 27/09/2013 09:19

My boobs were minute (32A) and I can almost already fit into the 32E maternity bras my friend lent me! I keep squeezing them Wink

CatsCantFlyFast · 27/09/2013 11:03

32B to 32 E here so far

Thundercatsarego · 27/09/2013 11:13

34DD to too big for my 34DD bras here
Yes my denial even extends to my bras

CatsCantFlyFast · 27/09/2013 12:00

Ooh just sold our flat. Only been online since yesterday!

Boomgoestheweasel · 27/09/2013 12:06

Bloody hell Merk, that was speedy! I didn't even know you were selling your flat!

34DD to infinity and beyond here...probably an F by now but I'm refusing to buy new ones. Me and Thunder will rock the double-boob look for a bit longer eh?

Ooh shit I've got my booking appointment in half an hour! Good job the alarm on my phone went off, totally forgot!

Yup we have far too many steps (raised ground) and want more space as despite this flat being huge it doesn't have a garden. Anyway decided we wanted to move by Christmas and got 3 offers from 7 viewings. Nice to have sold it as I hate tidying for viewings!!
I hung on in my old bras with double boob for quite a while but the relief when I bought some that fitted was immense!

BlindKitty · 27/09/2013 12:15

Well I haven't had them measured but I reckon they're an E cup. When should you start wearing a maternity bra? Also, are people using bio-oil yet? Been plastering on baby oil each day but not sure whether its doing any good?

BlindKitty · 27/09/2013 12:17

merk well done on the flat sale. It must be a pretty good flat to have had such good interest!

CatsCantFlyFast · 27/09/2013 12:18

I have bought bio oil but its so greasy and takes so long to dry I'm struggling to find a convenient time to put it on where I don't have to get dressed for ages while it dries!
I'm not going to go into maternity bras, as I understand they're just bras without the underwire, and I like my underwire!

Cavort · 27/09/2013 12:28

I never stopped wearing underwire until started BFing after the birth. It's just a ploy by bra manufacturers to make you spend money with them.

And I used Bio Oil from about 12 weeks and didn't get any stretch marks, but from what I understand from frantic research it seems to be down to genetics, age and luck whether you get any. And nothing can stop the linea nigra which I have still sodding have!

Thundercatsarego · 27/09/2013 12:37

I'm using bio oil and am finding it disappears really quickly. Don't usually do any kind of moisturising as am too impatient/late.

I can't afford new bras really- well other priorities are higher up the list anyway.

merk massive congrats on selling the flat, that's great!

Enjoy booking, boom

Boomgoestheweasel · 27/09/2013 12:39

Bio-oil is a load of cobblers, sorry ladies! Normal moisturiser is fine (cocoa butter is good!) Good hydration, not smoking, not being under 20 and not being of Asian origin give you the best chance of avoidance in my (unscientific) experience. Sadly I know I'm prone to them anyway, and with twins I stand no chance!

BlindKitty · 27/09/2013 12:52

So am I wasting my time plastering baby oil on my boobs?

CatsCantFlyFast · 27/09/2013 13:14

Blind you will get very soft boobs Grin won't help with the stretch marks though!

Thundercatsarego · 27/09/2013 14:31

So normal moisturiser does something better than bio oil or they're both ok but they won't prevent stretch marks?

I was told to use it by a midwife FFS! Not that I mind having a soft belly which is getting scarily hairy

Boomgoestheweasel · 27/09/2013 14:48

They're both ok, but bio-oil is five times as expensive Hmm

Back from booking, poor midwife didnt know if she was coming or going, had no idea it was twins and it seemed to put her in a muddle! They've shifted my nuchal scan back by a day so I can see the twin consultant the same day, so is now on the 16th. On the bright side, I finally get to find out what's in the bounty packs - they're RUBBISH!! Tena lady? Really?

Oh and Mr Boom had a little cry when she said 'high risk care' he's a bit over sensitive sometimes!!

OP posts:
CatsCantFlyFast · 27/09/2013 15:00

Both ok but nothing proven to prevent stretch marks, they seem to be genetic so you may as well just cross your fingers! The hairy belly is also normal for some.
Boom I didn't get a bounty pack, even if it is crap Hmm

Thundercatsarego · 27/09/2013 15:08

Ahhh mr boom!

We were out into high risk too - mr thunder was just being impressed because the midwife showed us we are under the most expensive care pathway.

Oh that's ok about the bio oil then- I won't buy any more but it's already bought so I might as well keep rubbing it into my luscious belly-locks using it.

Thundercatsarego · 27/09/2013 15:09

Why did you buy it, merk?

CatsCantFlyFast · 27/09/2013 15:21

Snort at belly locks! Because I bought it pre the wisdom of the grads who pointed out it was bollocks. I didn't know you were high risk Thunder
