Well I've found you.

Pet - if you find this.... I had EXACTLY the same thing but at 26 weeks so at least you've got more excuse! My pelvic floor must be weaker. Got it checked out as well so don't be Blush

cori · 25/04/2006 19:50

Good title

slinkstah · 25/04/2006 20:18

cori and arabica- i just got back in time for the kids i had to walk quite slowly because baby's limbs decided to stick right out on the way home and refused to be poked back in lol

petunia - might not have been wee, i have major watery discharge before labour:)

oinker- a meet up on the a40 sounds grandGrin

diddle · 25/04/2006 20:21

Oinker and for you mate. hope you're doing ok. Knew you'd have a positive outcome in some way.

well what an eventful day! Have been having contractions every 5 mins since last night, not painful just annoying, uncomfortable tightenings. thought nothing of it, apart from a little concerned that they were so regular. so i called the hosp this afternoon, thinking they'd say "monitor it for a few hours" or " its braxton hicks" but no, they said you really should come in now!, bring your notes and your bags. So off i went DH was 2 hours away so he jumped in the car and zoomed down the M6.
I got to hospital, was plugged into a monitor, did the usual checks, contractions were coming regularly every 5 mins. Baby was not distressed and i was told i was far too calm to be in labour. did an internal, cervix closed, not dilating. So after 2 hours i was sent home with mild contractions, doctor said it was braxton hicks, but to keep an eye on it and carry on as normal.
What a nightmare. Hope we don't have 6 wks of this, although i am very pleased that baby is staying put for now.

phew worn out now.

Hope everyone else has had a much easier day

slinkstah · 25/04/2006 20:29

wow diddle what a day!
yes def keep an eye on those bh! i reckon you are doing too much, NO hoovering from now on else ill come round there and chuck ya in an epsom salt bathGrin

cori · 25/04/2006 21:03

Wow at BH every five minutes. You definetly need to rest. I know thats hard with your job. Are you working up til your due date?

SnowBoo · 25/04/2006 21:40

Pet, did they check to see if it was the hind waters? That was the first thing to go when i had ds. And it doesn't show up unless they test for it specifically. Or thats what they reckoned.

Diddle take it easy! Sounds like things are hotting up for you! Envy

And an A40 meet up? Sounds like fun. So will it be a picnic roadside? Grin

oinker · 26/04/2006 07:23

Wow Diddle, close call....
6 weeks to go. It has gone so quick.
Warning....My SIL is a hoovering adict. She hoovered every day towards the end of her pg. When nephew was born the only way they could get him to sleep was to put the hoover on near him. Shock He would doze off straight away. Smile As soon as it was switched off he would wake up. In the end they started putting him in his carrier and placed him on the hob. They put the hob extractor fan on to get him to sleep. It cost them loads in electricity bills!
It was bloody annoying for me when I visited. I can't imagine how they got thru it.....

DH has been given the day off today.

He was given compasionate leave. I find that a bit weird. I think it'll take a while for things to sink in.
Hope this doesn't sound selfish....Blush
Ladies...please continue with all your positive vibes and thoughts for me... IT WORKS.x
I promise, you can stop when I give birth. Grin

Morning all.
Great thread Oinker!!!!
Diddle- Wow hun!! What a day!

I'm still a cleaning freak & i hoover every morning, 7am sometimes even twice a day Blush. Plus got 2nd load of wash on, 1 load hung outside and ready to tackle whole house today Grin. Oh yes, this gorgeous sunshine's perked me up no end.
Have a great day all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

HellKat · 26/04/2006 07:43

Pet- Sorry hun meant to say keep an eye on the water situation. At 33 wks i was convinced I'd been having accidents. Mainly happened at night but then over 2/3 days started during the day to. Every time I turned over, coughed, sneezed etc a little would come out. It was only when I noticed my bump had started going down did i think it was my waters. Went in, got monitored, told that it was wee. Lo & behold they decided to do an internal and whoosh, the rest went everywhere. Totally different to ds1 when they went during labour with a big gush.

oinker · 26/04/2006 07:44

What time did you get up?

Sun is shinning here too. Smile

What is it with hoovers...I hate doing it.

Going to go and get some brekkie and see what plans we have for today.

No doubt we will be taking the dog for a walk to Richmond park at some point.
I promise to walk really slowly and rest. Smile

I got up late this morning, 5.20 lol. Normally up around 4.30/5.
Sounds like a great day hun. I'm going to clean loads, then do the exciting job of food shopping later. Ohhh can't wait Wink

petunia · 26/04/2006 08:04

Morning everyone,
Well, today's excitement- it looks like I've had a show! I've rung the hospital and they've told me to keep an eye on things. But I feel quite heavy down below, as if my period is about to start.

diddle · 26/04/2006 08:16

Morning all,

no more excitement here, still getting BH but no developments, thank goodness.
I'm working up until 2 wks before my due date, and it'll be just my flippin luck that it comes early and i don't get my 2 wks rest Grin
I did have a busy day yesterday, gonna take it easier today, taking the kids to soft play, they'll be worn out and i can rest without them being bored.

Oinker - you don;t sound selfish at all. i'm glad DH is on leave, you might appreciate the support more than you think.

HK - sun what sun, send some over to me please it hasn't come yet.

Pet - how exciting, hope you're feeling ok, take it easy and conserve your energy.

HellKat · 26/04/2006 08:20

Ohhhhhhhhhh Pet!! yippeeee
Diddle- Lol you try & rest up hun, wont get much chance once lo's here.

mygirllolipop · 26/04/2006 09:21

Diddle - what a day indeed, I order you to rest up lady!
Oinker- you are so not selfish and so are welcome to us thinking about you wishing you positive vibes and the best of luck!
Ooooooooooh petunia - this thread will be getting a baby in the next few days if you've had a show. I went into hosp new years day thinking I'd trickled my waters (DD1 was due 29th Dec but by hosp 10th Jan Shock) hosp said it wasn't waters but cervix looked 'ripe' and it would be about a week (think they were just looking at the date on my forms. Lo and behold the next night I was in labour!

wools · 26/04/2006 09:35

Petunia _ here's hoping it won;t be too long now....!!!

oinker · 26/04/2006 09:35

Pet......

Good luck..This could be it!!!!Smile

Thanks for all your messages. Not a lot happening. Think I've had quite a few hefty Braxton Hicks and my back aches down near my bottom. Not sure it'll be today but might be in the next few days (Probably still be sitting here this time next week with huge bump still!)

HellKat · 26/04/2006 10:14

Lol aww hun, hope things move quickly for you not the frustrating stop/start labours.

cori · 26/04/2006 10:24

yey petunia. Sorry to ask but what was the 'show'like? Never actually had one myself so dont know what to expect. I am off to have Acupuncture this morning. As of last monday baby was not engaged at all. Acupuncture is meant to encourage it to move dwonwards and to ripen the cervix. Will check in later.
