Oooooooooooooh Petunia - you know you've got us all excited now, I hope the lack of post since 6.30 means you are panting and breathing etc! Hope it's an 'easy' birth for you honey!
Oinker -as it was pink stuff I dunno that there's anything to worry about, but you now have loads of questions for the Dr's next time you go. Fancy not liking the smell of your own skin you nutter!

Wills · 26/04/2006 20:59

Petunia - Ohhhhhhh how exciting. Good luck honey, my thoughts are with you.

DHW - CRANBERRY JUICE - start drinking now. It helps to flush the system out. 2 litres of water is the recommended daily dose for non-pregnant women and believe me that's hard enough. Some doctors swear by cranberry juice and will recommend that before prescribing antibs.

Cori - You're definitely giving me thoughts. Can I ask how expensive it is?

Slink - with my dd2 they assured me she was breech up to 37 weeks but I insisted on a scan they found she had a boney bum instead Grin.

For anyone taking iron tablets. Have just started to take floradix instead. Liquid iron. Will report back if it lessens the "bunged up" sensation.

Wills · 27/04/2006 07:41

Well no message yet from Petunia. Have checked Birth announcements. Hope things are easy for her.

HellKat · 27/04/2006 08:10

Morning all.
Pet- Hope you have your little bundle in your arms by now, will be anxiously trawling through birth announcements Grin
Oinker- As diddle said hun, sounds like a wee infection. You even have a teeny graze down there, hence the stingy part. Have they said if you'll pass the twin, if it'll be re-absorbed or need removing? I've never experienced this hun so forgive me if it sounds insensitive, it's not meant to be honest. That's fab about you & your whiffy skin Wink My pet hate smell is wet dishes Envy

mygirllolipop · 27/04/2006 08:50

I suppose I should be glad I can't smell anything because of cold! Otherwise I might be as freaky as you lot! Only messing.
Petunia - hope you've had a good night, birth or otherwise. Hope you aren't still in labour. Good luck and best wishes.

oinker · 27/04/2006 09:27

No news from Petunia.......
How exciting. Smile

HK..I have no idea what is supposed to happen. I have tried but can't get an appointment with my GP. I am just going to have to sit and wait.

Drank loads of water last night. The sting has gone. Wiping is hit and miss. There is nothing really obvious. It could even just be the dark yellow from pee. Sorry.TMI. Wink

My skin was minging yesterday!!!!

DH insisted I stank of Lavender. I could only smell cheesy socks. Grin

DH got a bit flustered and wouldn't allow a third shower so I got a wet flannel and scrubbed b 4 bed last night.

I can still get a whiff of it now. It's not as bad as yesterday. Mind you it's still early.
I think I am loosing it. Sad

oinker - glad things have settled down for you. And I don't think you're losing it, or at least if you are, it's in a normal-for-pregnancy kind of way!

and still waiting for any news from petunia?!? how exciting! hope it's all good.

and hello everyone else. How are we doing today?

mygirllolipop · 27/04/2006 10:05

Oinker- the smell could be in your nose. I had that with pastry, can't stand it but could smell it everywhere I went.

HellKat · 27/04/2006 10:11

Oinker- Pmsl @ you. You're a certified nutter Grin Good job I don't live near you. I'm an evil cow at the best of times & it would be far too tempting not to say to you " Actually I'm glad you mentioned that smell, I've been meaning to tell you for a while now, you hum!..................Lol only joking!!" GrinGrin
I'm so cruel, but pg is making me worse. Dp & I were looking at books yesterday in a shop. I made a very loud comment along the lines of "Wow you can actually read then" Grin Luckily he laughed. He's as bad as me.

cori · 27/04/2006 10:30

Oinker, I wonder if might be the smell of all the medication you are coming through your skin. I can often smell that type of thing when others cant.

So I am guessing Petunia has had or is having baby as we speak. I think today is her due date today as well. I hope Mr Petunia knows how to log on to MN.
One week to go til due date for me, or two weeks til ceaserean. After such a long battle, started trying for this baby around June 2004, I cant believe i have almost made it.

I think i have been feeling a little bit more going on. I am waking up a lot in the night with quite strong braxton hicks contractions which are bordering on painful. I also feel some type of pushing sensation as well around the pelvis. Hoping these are good signs.

Arabica · 27/04/2006 11:13

Ooh, Cori. Hope that's the start for you.
On the subject of ghastly smells, I cannot bear the smell of frying mushrooms, frying onions, or garlic breath but am loving freshly laid tarmac!!
Hoping Petunia is doing OK.

petunia · 27/04/2006 11:17

Oinker - Honey I'm with you on the possibly seeing coloured wee. I have spent the vast majority of this pregnancy seeing pink in my week. In fact dh sarcastically offered to get me a dulux chart on yellow colours for me to make comparisons with! Keep the water up - also if your dh is up to it ask him to have a look to see if you have a small tear anywhere down below. I have regularly had those and they caused heart stopping moments I can tell you.

I'm on a high because of Petunia!!!!!!!!

mygirllolipop · 27/04/2006 12:10
