RightBuggerforit · 28/06/2012 15:34

Ooh, good timing - I just popped on to see if anyone else had gone! Well done Shelley, congratulations!!

Last night was a new low for sleeping - I couldn't turn over, my pelvis just hurt too much to move, even with dh's help!! Managed to get up and then down again instead eventually!

Went and got my hair done today, I wasn't going to as my pelvis hurts like absolute buggery (and I've got a dodgy tummy - yay, a SIGN!!), but I'm really glad I did now, it was like a little bit of luxury pampering (I don't get my hair done much)! And dd is being looked after by her auntie so is having a lovely time while I have a break too, instead of being stuck in the house with me. Fab. Right, I'm ready for labour now!

RightBuggerforit · 29/06/2012 16:11

Seriously, is it just me now?!

mammadothebump · 29/06/2012 18:31

Nope, I'm still here. But actually might possibly be in labour, just waiting a bit longer to make sure! Not sure why I was impatient now! Had a good sweep earlier and a show so at least there's signs labour could happen! Just bouncing away now while the rest of the family flaps!

Massive congratulations emblosion. x

mammadothebump · 29/06/2012 18:33

NinjaChipmunk · 02/07/2012 15:20

hello, can I join you? I'm 40+5 today with dc2. DS was only 4 days late (and arrived in the morning of the 4th day so I didn't have to wait long) and I'm already bored and frustrated waiting for this one to arrive! I have read that tomorrow is a full moon and maybe just maybe the weird full moon vibes will kick something off before my sweep on thursday. Plus I think I may order some online food shopping because that will also ensure labour kicks in when the delivery is due....

RightBuggerforit · 03/07/2012 17:22

Congratulations McPhee!

Ninja, you're a bit patient, 'only' 4 days late?! I'm 39+3 today and I'm already bloody annoyed about it! I thought about the full moon too - you never know.

NinjaChipmunk · 03/07/2012 18:25

for what its worth my backache has ramped up a gear this afternoon and although I've not had a full blown show there has been a bit of pink mucous on wiping (sorry) so I'm hoping its kicking in tonight!

HelenHen · 13/07/2012 12:54

I'm 9 days over!!!!!!!!!!!!! 9 days!!!!!!!!!!!! Soooooooooooooo fed up Grin . I have the option of a second sweep today whenever my midwife turns up but might turn it down as I don't think it will make any difference. They're gonna induce me on Monday if I don't go over the weekend... there goes my water birth Sad . My brothers girlfriend was due two days after me and the baby is just over two weeks old now.

Anybody else? Blush

vicky228 · 15/07/2012 00:31

Oh yes, I'm definitely fed up too, HelenHen - I'm 10 days over now, and after being chilled about being overdue for the last week, I've spent most of the weekend so far in tears. Totally irrational really, I know it'll either come in its own good time or failing that I'm booked in for induction next Thurs... but still...

I think I might not feel so bad if it weren't for all the random pains/contractions that happen a couple of times in a day, just enough to get my hopes up, before it all peters out for another day or so. It's driving me mad Sad

HelenHen · 15/07/2012 09:50

Oh no Vicky Sad . I know exactly how you feel. I think I told myself I was ok with labour... but I can only lie to myself for a certain amount of time (til due date) and then I fell apart a bit. Have been pretty emotional since. It's 11 days over now and looking like I'm definitely gonna be induced tomorrow. I'm pretty terrified cos I kinda liked the thought of the unpredictability of natural labour. I'm gonna be a bit of a mess tomorrow.

I never felt any braxton hicks til I went over and, yep, now it's every night. Friday it was every 12 minutes for 3 hours, I thought it HAD to be something starting... but nope! There was a girl at work who was due a week after me and she had hers on Friday, 2 days over Confused . It's just ridiculous. TBH I think they miscalculated my due date though. They worked out that I conceived 3 days BEFORE my last period???

Loobylou12 · 15/07/2012 20:32

40+4 and seriously fed up. all old wives tales tried and failed.

HelenHen · 15/07/2012 22:03

looby I'm convinced nothing works... we tried it all... closest thing was a drive over some seriously bumpy roads Grin . That brought on some pretty intense BH.

maffy1983 · 24/07/2012 18:27

Hi everyone,

I too am soooooo fed up - now at 40+5 and have tried EVERYTHING!

I am seeing midwife tomorrow and sweep booked in for 31st July but its so hot and although i want to go into labour naturally it feels like it is never going to happen.

Have had no signs anything is close - is this normal?

FutureNannyOgg · 24/07/2012 20:07

Checking in. DS2, 39 by my dates 39+3 by theirs. I've had a false start every night for 4 nights now. Getting a bit fed up with it all.
