Hope all is going well with you rrrayray.

I don't condone violence either jessebuni but I'm still glad you lobbed the bottle Grin Some people are horrible aren't they?

Have just spent 2 hours soaking in the tub hoping it'd help with contraction pain, hasn't particularly so back out and timing contractions again. They now seem to be about every 5mins and lasting a min, I'm waiting for that magical 3/10 mark when I can call the on-call midwife.

shellywellybaby1 · 20/06/2012 22:50

Aw so excited for u Dizzy wont be long now!!! Hahaha good on u Jesse, there are some gobby little sh!ts about!!

rrrayray · 21/06/2012 04:24

Hi all.

Contractions didn't really kick off alone so
Ended up on drip.

Drip to delivery 3 1/2 hours. Only
Pushed for a few mins as he having decelerations so had to be out quickly

Congratulations rrrayray, lovely name.

I'm off to be induced now, have been up since 430 with regular contractions every 5 mins (which stopped at 7) so I'm hoping things will move fast!

McKayz · 21/06/2012 09:34

Congratulations Rrray

Sewing I hope it all goes well! Thinking of you.

DairyNips · 21/06/2012 10:22

sewing sounds very promising! Good luck, hope it goes smoothly. Thinking of you xSmile

shellywellybaby1 · 21/06/2012 10:31

Aww thats great sewing as always keep us posted as and when. I need some advice ladies. Just been to the loo (for a number 2) and as gross as it is when i looked in the pot there was a lot of white stuff n then what looked like very pale yellow jelly. Only a small bit of the jelly stuff amd it had no blood in it. Could this be a bit of my plug or just wishful thinking?

DairyNips · 21/06/2012 14:28

Shelly it could be some of your plug, mine wasn't coming out blood streaked till a few hours before delivery. I think it's usually just snotty which can be clear or yellow or greenish.

shellywellybaby1 · 21/06/2012 15:06

Thaanks Dairy not had anymore so probably just wishful thinking. Haha! O wel! Hope everyones doing ok xx

DairyNips · 21/06/2012 17:33

You never know shelly, I was losing mine on and off for over a week..

jessebuni · 21/06/2012 21:14

shelly could be, but probably just bits of it, i've been losing mine on and off for weeks.

rrrayray huge congrats! i'm glad your wait is over and good luck sewing keep us posted!

had 4th sweep today and STILL only 1cm, posterior and cervix still thick! GGGGRRRRRRR!!!!!! After I sat up and got dress and returned to my seat I just burst into tears. I've got sweep number 5 booked for Saturday and induction booked for Tuesday because she said I can't put it off any more than that because I'll be 42 weeks.

So I have 5 days to get this baby out or my home birth plan is ruined and I'll be stuck in hospital which I am literally terrified of!

shellywellybaby1 · 21/06/2012 21:43

Aww Jesse really have my fingers crossed for you. Lots of labour vibes coming your way!!!

My stomach has been going hard all day today. Think its been hard more than its been soft. So uncomfy!!!

DairyNips · 21/06/2012 21:50

Aww jessie I really hope it happens for you before induction. If not though try not to worry, hosp isn't that bad really and my inductions were not a lot different to this third labour.. either way you will be just fine and once baby is in your arms it will all be instantly worth itSmile

Ooh shelly hope something is happening!

On the subject of hard tummies, when I was in labour the monitor didn't pick up my contractions! The midwife even changed it for a different one and nothing came upConfused how strange! The other monitor picked up baby's hb just fine though..

jessebuni · 21/06/2012 22:05

thanks dairy i'm just worrying because i had such a bad time in hospital with my last birth. my labour was easy (less than 4 hours total) and i was fine until the midwives start flapping around because i had a temperature (like a woman in labour is going to be cool as a cucumber!) and started working me into a panic. then after i'd had my son they kicked DP out less than an hour later and left me on the ward crying my eyes out. then because i had a high pulse they wouldn't let me go home for days! hello i was a new mum and i WANTED to go home with my partner not stay sat in a ward of strangers when i am a naturally withdrawn person who doesn't get out much.

i just want to be able to go in have the baby and go home a few hours later but somehow i just know that that isn't going to happen!

DairyNips · 21/06/2012 22:47

I know what you mean jessie, everything is so medicalised. They kept me in this time as they weren't sure when my waters had gone (I was 99% sure they hadn't gone and went during labour) but they wanted to watch Oscar for signs of infection and give him antibiotics. I want really that happy to stay in as I hate being on the ward where its noisy and boiling hot and you can't sleep well. Anyway, I decided it was in Oscars best interest they were doing this but I would be going home asap. If they hadn't of let me out after the 2nd night I would have considered discharging myself. That's the thing to remember I think, they can't actually make you do anything at the end of the day, they can make recommendations but you have the final say.. Just trust your instincts and if you're not comfortable with something just say soSmile

mammadothebump · 22/06/2012 00:05

Ok, I think the time has come to jump onto the get out now bus. Didn't like to earlier as I felt I had no rights to complain but due Saturday and I am soooo ready to have this baby. I'm at the point where I don't want to leave the house for how enormous I feel!

Don't have another mw appt until I'm 40 + 6 and due to my mw being the most laid back woman in the world a sweep hasn't even been mentioned as she's 'sure it will happen before then'. This is after examining me and finding I'm only 1/5 th engaged. I have motion sickness from bouncing, my heart burn is off the scale, the floor is littered with crap as anything I drop has to stay there and I can't stop bloomin crying!

Ok. Rant over. Sorry about that. May peaceful services resume. Off to crunch gaviscon and not sleep!

shellywellybaby1 · 22/06/2012 05:15

Haha luvvin ur name mamma!!! and i have to say you have been much more patient than me, also due tomorrow! Sounds like you are suffering a bit there. Hopefully your midwife might suprise you with a sweep! Fingers crossed you wont need it though!! I have one booked for weds and i am dreading the poor woman mot even being able to find my cervix!!! Haha!

McPhee · 22/06/2012 07:41

I'm off to hospital today to be induced Confused

Scared but ready I think.

DairyNips · 22/06/2012 08:27

McPhee all the best for todaySmile Don't be scared, I've been induced twice and it really was ok. You'll soon be holding your adorable little baby, just keep focusing on that. Thinking of you x

jessebuni · 22/06/2012 08:40

good luck McPhee!

Can anyone who has been induced talk me through it? I'm really worried about it and I've heard some real horror stories. Even my mum had a nightmare with me when they induced her with me. So does anyone have some not quite so horror stories or at least realistic ones to help me relax a bit about it because I really don't think this little one is going to budge by Tuesday.

I've just heard the induction is soooo much waiting around and sooo much worse than natural labour and usually causes complications etc.
