Hi whippet. Don't apologise for the me-ness, I think that's exactly what this thread is for! I think if I couldn't rant here about waddling, heartburn and wee trips my marriage would definitely be suffering!

Thanks for the lactulose tip dairy, it has really helped thank goodness. Having a dominos on my due date was seriously a really bad choice!

The SPD has really ramped up today so I'm being even more useless! Have managed to put away the tiny baby clothes (eek!) but now all I'm good for is sitting in the garden, oh well!

shellywellybaby1 · 25/06/2012 17:02

TMI alert! But just been to the loo and had more what can only be described as a snotty substance on the paper after i wiped! No blood in it tho! This has happened a few times. Is it my plug or what?? Haha. Driving myself insane with it now!

mammadothebump · 25/06/2012 17:16

Sounds like plug shelly, to be honest I don't think it's that common to have blood in it. Get bouncing! I'm jealous of your mucus, possibly a new low?! But obviously very pleased for you still! Have you got any clary sage oil? Maybe try some in a bath.

shellywellybaby1 · 25/06/2012 17:35

Haha mamma that made me giggle. Well i had the same thing about 3 days ago so not getting to excited. Have ran up n down the stairs a few times as i have done bugger all today. Keep getting twinges but they last about 3 seconds and are in my side goin into my groin. Cmon baby!!!

runlolarun10 · 25/06/2012 17:37

I'd kill for a bit of mucus right now...

shellywellybaby1 · 25/06/2012 17:52

Aaah hahahaha. Knowing my luck i probably sneezed without realising. Hahaha ewwww!

SleepyFergus · 25/06/2012 18:36

Laughing at all the mucus envy!!

Well, I think I will ask for a sweep on Wednesday. And if it's really painful then I can just ask MW to stop. Seems a bit silly to refuse it when it might actually kick things off!!

Shelly fingers crossed it is your plug though, be good to think things are in the move.

Welcome Whippet. Sorry to hear about the UTI and thrush. I've had thrush on and off throughout this pregnancy and it is a proverbial pain in the ass, or the foof to be more accurate. I dread to think what I look like down there. Between thrush, my pal the haemorrhoid, and general swolleness, I suspect it ain't pretty. To be honest, I've given up and fully intend on going to the doctor after baby is here for some full scale nuking drugs to rid me of all my undercarriage ailments!

Hello to everyone else and sending lots of positive labour vibes....

shellywellybaby1 · 25/06/2012 20:35

Thanks sleepy everything seems to have calmed down now and baby is pretty active. Eesh i give up haha. Had a good bounce on me ball and everything!!

Anyone else got any exciting happenings???

SleepyFergus · 25/06/2012 21:32

My baby has been über active tonight again too, always at this time of night. My Dd wasn't like this at all. Do you think means it's not ready yet for the big wide world? Having too much fun somersaulting inside me to focus on coming out!

mammadothebump · 25/06/2012 21:38

I was wondering that too sleepy. My LO seems to be the octopus baby as there's always limbs poking out come evening time and it's like the baby olympics! And my DD wasn't like it either, so maybe a 2nd baby thing? Alot of people have told me that 2nd babies tend to engage immediately prior to labour starting so not sure if it makes a difference how active they are now.

Maybe had a bit of a show earlier, a tiny one at least. My DH's face when I told him was priceless! I think he thought I was going to drop a baby on his toes straight away, there's me thinking he's going to be cool as a cucumber about this!

I'm avoiding thinking about my down below bits, they feel swollen and I'm a bit scared!

shellywellybaby1 · 25/06/2012 22:00

This is sooo frustrating :-( wish something definite would happen!!

Fingers crossed it was mamma keep us posted!! Hehe!!

This lil monkey is wriggling so much it feels like its tryin to get out! Haha! Go down!!!! Cmon baby u can do it!! Haha!

jessebuni · 26/06/2012 09:40

Oh mucus! Lol this is a good thing! I lost bits of mucus on and off for the last 2 weeks of my pregnancy so whilst it may not be all of your plug it's certainly at least a bit of it which means that at the very least things are getting ready down there! The swollen feeling I also had for the 2 days before I went into labour so hopefully you're close! Keep moving! Sending positive labour vibes your way!

SleepyFergus · 26/06/2012 10:40

V frustrated! Woke up at 4.30am having contractions every 5-6 mins. Then about an hour ago they've become more painful but totally spaced out to 10 mins, 13 mins, 26 mins, 13 mins etc. so don't know if it's false labour or what....dd was dropped off at my folks at 7am, bags are in the car, so we're ready to GO. But baby might have diff ideas!

shellywellybaby1 · 26/06/2012 11:08

Oooo sleepy this is exciting. Got everything crossed for you (except my legs!) keep us posted. Really hope this is it for you, even if i am a teensy bit jealous hehehe!!

DairyNips · 26/06/2012 11:26

Sleepy Hope this is it for you! My contractions never became regular till I was past 7cm! Before that they were all over the place. I'd say you'll know by the strength of them, if you have to stop and breathe through them then they must be doing something.

SleepyFergus · 26/06/2012 11:50

They're now at 9 mins in between, but they are so, so sore for the 50secs/ 1 min that they last for. The same sort of pain I had at 4cm with my DD. but I think they're still to far apart to go in....

DairyNips · 26/06/2012 12:04

Well I would say If they get a bit closer to call, even if they temporarily slow down again.. Is the hosp far?

SleepyFergus · 26/06/2012 12:07

Just called and to phone back when they're 2-3 mins apart. Got told to take some paracetamol! I'd rather be home right enough than spend x amt of hours doing this in hosp. At least I can watch re-runs of DIY SOS and Escape to the Country in between contractions!!

It's a 20 min drive away so as long as we avoid rush hour it should be okay. Just want to fast fwd to epidural now!!

runlolarun10 · 26/06/2012 12:23

Oooh, lucky you Sleepy Not that you must be feeling very lucky while you're having a contraction, but you know what I mean! And you didn't have to have a sweep! Praise be!

runlolarun10 · 26/06/2012 12:24

Day 11 overdue here and still nothing. Not a twinge in sight Sad

DairyNips · 26/06/2012 12:26

sleepy if you'd rather be at home then that's good. I would say if you feel you need more pain relief however don't be put off going in!

emblosion · 26/06/2012 13:17

Whoops forgot to check back in after joining thread! Sorry all...

I too have massive mucus envy (now there is something I never thought I'd say!) .... Still nowt happening here except the odd mild cramp. I also have a cold, to add insult to injury

Good luck sleepy fingers crossed for you, and congrats to jessi

Does anyone else feel like the baby is expanding to fill every possible internal space? my entire bump feels massive and hard. He's going to be a giant isn't he? O my poor pelvic floor!

shellywellybaby1 · 26/06/2012 15:46

Haha emblosion i could have written most of that post myself!! Bump is huge and hard more than its soft and i am also full of a cold!! Whats going on!?!

Not had anymore mucus :-( or anything really.

Ooo sounds promising sleepy sooo jealous excited for you!!

How are you getting on dairy?? hope ur enjoying lots of cuddles!

mammadothebump · 26/06/2012 17:00

Ooh, I have a cold too! Now if we're symptom sharing why can't it be labour pains! I have nothing else to report. Grrr. Still getting my daily irritating text messages from 'concerned' members of family that I haven't produced this child yet!

How are you getting on sleepy?

emblosion · 26/06/2012 17:23

shelly and mamma could having a cold be A Sign?

mammadothebump I feel your pain - I have just had a facebook message to the effect of 'you haven't updated facebook, are you in labour' - er, no. And even if I was, I wouldn't have it as my facebook status! It's like people really think I won't tell them when the baby arrives (i know its only because they care etc, but really if one more person asks me if I've had the baby I may kill them!)

Just been to Tesco and bought two pineapples on special offer. Should sort out my digestion if nothing else!
