congratulations jesse, you did amazing and fab timing too! Good luck sleepy, how exciting! So many ladies on here so overdue, i almost feel bad moaning lol! Due in 11days, but with being so so massive, spd etc, i have had enough! we have had spicy food today, been taking epo (all ways!), rlt, just bought some clary sage for the bath tonight, and will be attempting to get dh to shag me again, haha!

Had a go of feeling my cervix earlier, if i'm feeling the right thing then it is very soft and i can put a fingertip or two in it (sorry, gross i know). Does this mean i'm dilating (have had loads of strong braxton hicks for ages), or is that normal for second babies? (Accurate replies not as important as being told that labour is definately imminent!) ;-) x

I agree mamma those pains need dishing out asap! Hahaha!! I have started ignoring the txts and enjoying the second panicky ones askin if this is it hehehe. Cruel but o well!!

Just a brief update for now, baby Claudia born at 13.31 today, 7lbs 12ozs. Made it to the Hosp just in time. Arrived and she was born 20 mins later. G&A only, she literally shot out, I was fully dialated so no drugs or epi for me. It was fecking agony. I was screaming my head off. But so worth it!

Very surreal day. Will check in later to see how you're all doing. We should be going home in an hours time! Ye hah!

shelly I'm doing great thanks! Spent a week recovering mostly and establishing feeding. I'm getting my energy back now and my nips are healing so been out and about a bit last few days. Oscar is absolutely gorgeous and the cuddles are more than worth all the crap I went through when pregnant

I did the pineapple offer too and just had moussaka as apparently aubergines are meant to be good for encouraging labour! No idea if that's true but its certainly the last thing I ate before going into labour with dd1!

My m-i-l is convinced bump is lower, not sure if true but happy to hear it all the same. She's still practicing for baby olympics!

I have not been looking for my cervix. I'm a bit scared of what I might find!

Trying not to get my hopes up, but been having contractions on and off since 11pm last night... Am hoping this baby is finally coming out some time soon!

congratulations sleepy! come on ladies i think some of you are so close! it won't be long so keep positive! sending baby vibes your way.

sleepy brilliant birth well done! at least you got to have gas and air! i didn't have time for that and i did start to panic a bit without it but luckily it was over quick.

runlola just try to keep moving, don't concentrate on timing them unless you think they're regular and then only time 3-4 and then stop until a bit later. my midwife said and my experience has been the more relaxed you stay rather than thinking about it the quicker things progress so keep moving about as much as possible but try to almost ignore the fact that they're there until you really can't anymore. i found when i was sat or led my contractions hurt a lot more but were further apart. when i was walking around they hurt a lot less and were closer together. good luck i really hope this it the day for you!

Am still here. Nothing is happening (sigh). Am considering going out to stock up on aubergines, hadn't heard of them encouraging labour - am clearly getting desperate as will try anything.

Got a package of lovely knitted baby things from my gran and aunty this morning which has cheered me up a bit.

Wouldn't put too much faith in the aubergines emblosion! I am still very pregnant. A couple of twinges but not much else. About to crack into another pineapple! Clary sage bath later. Methinks I may be last bump standing!

Hey ladies just an update!!! Baby Lydia was born at 11.29pm weighing 7lb 5oz!! They broke my waters at 7pm n i had contractions straight away!! Went so fast!
