The third instalment as we're a talkative bunch!

HaggisNeepsTatties · 07/03/2012 21:35

resipsa so sorry - I'm thinking of you
tlm I have everything crossed for you tomorrow

I am completely exhausted. Had to get up at 4.30 yesterday to fly to glasgow and didn't get home till after 10pm, then today had to get up at 5.30 to drive to Leicester - 2 hrs each way. Can barely function now.
Haven't poo'd for days, eating crap, feel like a big bloater.
MOAN!

Betty I read that 'not enough acid' stuff too... and found Gaviscon dual action works bloody wonders! But if you're determined to do it au natural you could try eating a banana - quirky cure I found online. Worked after about 5 mins, was quite amazing.

bettybat · 07/03/2012 21:37

Awww haggis you must be exhausted!

bettybat · 07/03/2012 21:38

Angelico really?? Awesome! I go bananas for bananas Grin

Angelico · 07/03/2012 22:36

Holy batshit, I just felt my uterus!!!! Was talking to DH, saying my tum felt strange and different, jabbed just above my pubic bone to make point - and felt a hard, strange, different sort of area. Shock

It was sooooo weird!!! Actually got a few cramps after, bean presumably being annoyed that I was poking at it's cosy cave.

Seriously, I have a uterus!!! Who knew?! (I mean I knew in my head, but knowing in your head isn't the same as feeling the fecker RIGHT THERE!!!) :o

HaggisNeepsTatties · 08/03/2012 06:32

Morning all,
Feeling a bit more human after almost 8 hours sleep, will get a proper lie in tomorrow as working from home and can sleep till 8.30...I've been looking forward to it all week!

Made the mistake of weighing myself this morning. I've put on 5 lbs already and I'm only 9 weeks....how much has everyone else put on?

Have a good day all.
tlm good luck for your scan

Morning haggis. I've put on 1.5lb. Largely on my boobs which have gone up a cup size. The rest I put down to needing a damn good pooh as belly sticks out.

Midgetm · 08/03/2012 07:34

angelico move away from feeling your uterus, step away from the uterus.

londonlivvy · 08/03/2012 07:55

I'm so sorry to hear your news, resipsa, that's terribly sad.

Chuckling hard angelico at your uterus prodding - I've not tried and not sure I'd know what was different (that's shocking ignorance, right there - oops).

Haggis I've put on a kilo already but since my boobs have gone up two cup sizes already (holy cow - how big are they going to end up?) I'm blaming it on that!!!

I woke up at 4am feeling really nauseous and sick shudder and couldn't get back to sleep. Must buy some crackers to put by the bed or something. Night snacks suggestions anyone?

Well I am officially leaving this board, scan today showed a complete MC. Hopefully I'll be back in a month or two with happier news. Best of luck to you all with your pregnancies xx

DameFlatYouLent · 08/03/2012 12:08

So sorry twolittlemonkeys and resipsa. Be kind to yourselves and the very best of luck for the future

DameFlatYouLent · 08/03/2012 12:43

Help! My MS is receding! I really don't remember it going this early with DS. For the past 2-3 days I haven't felt too nauseous at all. Worried. Argh.

The tiredness isn't improving, or the wind and general digestive discomfort. Doesn't help that DH was away on Tues night and DS played silly buggers nearly all night - I actually didn't sleep for a single minute. Had to call in sick on Weds, which I hate doing, and napped on and off throughout the day. Still feeling the effects today.

Seeing 2 of my oldest friends today, so am probably going to tell them. One is due in the next few weeks so hopefully our mat leave will overlap, and she lives fairly locally.

I've just been reading a thread about having a toddler and a newborn, and scaring the living daylights out of myself. Looks like I'd better enjoy the remaining months of relative peace while they last - eeeeek!

Resipsa and two little monkeys. I'm so sorry to hear that, i'm sending you big virtual hugs (((((((())))))))

I've put on about 3 lb, but i'm sure half of that is digestion related, maybe a bit on the boobs wishfull thinking

FjordMor · 08/03/2012 14:06

So sorry to hear the news tlm & resipsa Sad big hugs to both & hope we'll see both of you again with good news before too long.

I'm busy packing for me & the beans big trip and fighting back the nausea with lots of water & salty crackers/occasional bread. Feeling a bit weird google-mapping hospitals en route (just in case). Tempting fate? Confused. londonlivvy - yes, exactly. Crackers by the bed. Something fairly plain but carby & a little salty perhaps. I have a pack by the bed, in my handbag, in the car... Wink

Congrats to all those who are pooing :). To those who are struggling, I was for a while, but have found daily comfort in making sure I include the following in my daily diet (via trial & error): soft, moist wholemeal bread, plenty of green veg (broccoli, peas, spinach etc.), LOTS of liquid (hot, water, fruit juice) and 'wet' food whenever you can ie. soup, lots of sauce on stuff. Not lost the bloating or farting though. Think that's a given for a long while yet.

Have a good day & sticky beans to all :)

(no idea how much weight I've put on as I haven't weighed myself since about 2001! Not looking forward to the doc doing it Sad).

sarahpip · 08/03/2012 14:36

I am 8 weeks and so so so tired - I can manage until about now and then want to go to sleep at my desk or faint - one of the two. Am feeling so sick at all time, the only way to make it better is to eat, eat and eat, I have already put on 5 lbs. I cannot concentrate. And then, all I do is moan about how horrible I am feeling to other half - which is tedious for me, let alone him. Can anyone honestly tell me this will get better or is this it - is the lovely life with energy and enthusiasm as I knew it over??

gigglewizz · 08/03/2012 15:20

afternoon ladies, sorry twolittlemonkeys and resipsa on your upsetting news, big strong virtual hugs to you.

sarapip, I also had to eat eat eat, it does get better! Porridge with apricots and prunes is great for slow release energy and will help prevent you putting on too much weight. (well thats my guess anyway!) and helps with the bowels.... oh the bowels!!

dameflatulent, my ms is also going, I hope thats a good sign, I still get whiffs of smells and feel nauseous but can cope through the day mainly. But the tiredness...sarapip, is HORRIBLE. I slept till 11:30 this morning and am ready to go back to bed after 3 hrs of work and a bit of snacking! Luckily I work from home so I can nap when I need to. Goodness help me if I had a full time job I would be dead or in hospital from exhaustion (um I do have a tendency to exaggerate a little.... ;0)

Is anyone suffering back pain, I have been really struggling, I can lie down, stand up but sitting is awful. And I haven't put on any weight so I can't blame it on that. (was a bit over my bmi before getting pg but nothing to worry about really) I read it something to do with hormones?? Anyone?

Oh well, have a good day and

gigglewizz · 08/03/2012 15:21

and ... hope you all feel better!

Guccigirl79 · 08/03/2012 15:43

TLM,so so very sorry to hear ur news.hope to see u packin here very soon with happier news, sending u much love :-)

Feel like a bag of shit today!! Nausea seems to be ruling today & after going to work doing the washing cleaning the kitchen & slinging tonight tea in the slow cooker am now ready to enter a coma!!!!

Speak to u all later when I arise from the dead!!

Smorgs · 08/03/2012 15:47

gigglewizz and sarahpip I can't way I have had back pain, but the tiredness is still there. DH had to get up early this morning to get a flight so, of course, I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep until just before my alarm...which I then slept through leading to a manic showerbrushteeththrowonyesterdaysclothes in order to catch my bus and metro to work. I also sprayed dry shampoo on my in another time-saving brain wave, only to forget to brush it out. It took me until lunchtime to notice my hair had something of a badger-look about it still. The shame....

I am eating constantly to try to avert the MS. Only advice I can give is that I find linseed sprinkled on breakfast cereal or muesli does wonders for le transit as they say over here.

twolittlemonkeys I'm so, so sorry to hear your news.

Midgetm · 08/03/2012 15:49

TLM - gutted for you. I know you Had a glimmer of hope and it is such a kick in the teeth. You will be back soon - and I look forward to hearing about your metalling on the other thread. I know it's hard as you have a family to think of but let those lovely friends and family take the strain and give yourself time to howl at the moon. Huge hugs and make sure you keep us updated of any news when you are ready again. I've said it before and I'll say it again, mother nature can be a right bitch sometimes x

Angelico · 08/03/2012 16:17

twolittlemonkeys so sorry to hear your news :( It was awful that you had to wait so long and really sad you got such bad news at the end of it. Come back soon and check in - we'll miss you. And thanks for the advice last week x

piggyboo · 08/03/2012 16:26

Really sorry TLM :(

lisbethsopposite · 08/03/2012 18:31

2LM I'm so sorry. I know you have a great DP, some days you need a real hug, but adding virtual one ((())).
I wish you every luck in the future.

Hope everyone else is OK.

Midgetm · 08/03/2012 19:06

Baby brain had me in the wrong office for a meeting with my new boss (I got the job, focusing on not farting won them over). Anyway managed to high tail it to London and get away with it but I am going to have to step up my game. Nausea not so bad for me either today but after a day of work I am tempted to let DD bath herself. Of course I know this is wrong so I will drag my arse of the sofa but so tempting... Boobs growing by the minute, start the day not looking pregnant, finish it rotund. Very peculiar. sarahpip it does get better, honest, it does. I promise. But then it gets worse again right at the end...

Zara1984 · 08/03/2012 19:21

TLM and resipsa I am really sorry to hear your news, don't know what else to say. Sad I have fingers crossed you'll both get BFPs soon.

Well I'm relieved to see so many of you are as hungry, bloated, huge-boobed, farty, sick and exhausted as me. I think you could prevent all teen pregnancies by giving 12 year olds temp levels of the hcg, estrogen and progesterone we have in our systems!!!

I have a bump Blush but it's a bloat bump Sad oh the shame. I wore maternity leggings to work today cos they arrived from ASOS and I was feeling sorry for myself, ha! At least two of my colleagues are staring a bit too long at the weight I've put on in my face, middle and bum!!!! I'm a bit worried that my further fattening up will be way more obvious once I'm back from hols at the start of April!

And my farts are so bad that last night, both my cats got up off my lap and walked away Blush Blush Blush

Just wondering, anyone using a Domino-type scheme? I'm in the catchment area for the one at one of Dublin's maternity hospitals (it has 4!!! How?!) and have signed up for it. Seems nicer than bog standard public care, but not sure what to expect? In the week after Easter have got my nuchal fold scan, a home visit from midwife and my 12 week dating scan. Got my early scan on Tues morning, very excited but scared too!!
