milk we?re off to Biarritz for a few days then up into the Pyrenees for some walking ? should be good. Hoping for some sun and activeness and some siestas...
Dame and ChrissieJA that?s absolutely fab and you?ve made me so excited about mine too. 4 more weeks to go...
Zoeplankton Much amused by the coming out party ? that?s brilliant.
Smorgs Sad, tough times.

Cwest I?d definitely chivvy your hospital. I have my appointment booked already (for four weeks? time).
UGH feeling sick again today, not helped by getting woken up v.early by cat shouting for his brekky and me lying in bed getting crosser and crosser about it.

milk · 21/03/2012 09:07

Surprise surprise I didn't sleep well last night :(

My original scan time was 09:20 :D but then DH said he had to work then and could only go later in the day :( so now I have to wait till 16:20 Angry

What am I going to do all day to take my mind off it?

milk · 21/03/2012 09:11

Just called up hospital :) I am happy to report the price of printing out a baby photo is still the same as for DS: £2 per photo.

turnwest · 21/03/2012 10:25

Congrats on everyones scans, good luckmilk, mine is two week today, so frustrating having to wait, especially as I m worrying that something is going to be wrong. Still all the good news from all of you re scans makes me feel a little better.

ChrissieJA · 21/03/2012 11:59

Good luck milk! Enjoy it the experience.

By the way- did anyone opt for the internal at their scan? I said no and then have felt guilty ever since for being pathetic

Midgetm · 21/03/2012 12:30

milk I would sleep for a bit to pass the time. No staring at the clock that way.

Just to add to to joyous news I've had another positive scan. The clinic say all the signs are really positive. Still one more scan with them and then my NT scan. The bean will be very used to being measured and photographed. now saying 8+4. How can that be when I have been pregnant for so long.... Blimey doesn't time not fly when you are knackered and nauseous. So envious of those of you approaching the end of the first trimester. A pregnancy milestone indeed. Take care everyone and good luck Milk.

Thank you everyone :)

Midgetm, I can't sleep, I have a very active 1 year old DS :( lol

Midgetm · 21/03/2012 13:57

Drug the one year old and yourself. Or is that wrong? Ignore me I think that is bad parenting advice. Not too long to go now x

milk · 21/03/2012 13:58

I leave my home in 1 hour to get the bus :D

Although drugging my 1 year old is pretty much illegal, I have cbeebies him instead :D He is hypnotised :D

Zoeplankton · 21/03/2012 14:02

Noooooo, midgetm, no regrets! Remember, you'll be off work ages with bubby. When you come back to work and they ask 'so what were you doing before you left?' you can say 'something VERY IMPRESSIVE.' That promotion has long long term benefits, lady! Soldier on, soldier!

Midgetm · 21/03/2012 14:08

Cbeebies is a legal high. You should be ok with that.

Zoe thanks - I needed that - you are right. No regrets and pregnant women have brains too - we just struggle accessing them sometimes!

HaggisNeepsTatties · 21/03/2012 16:30

Milk thinking of you - hope all is going well with your scan right now

Milk are you done yet???? :o

Hi all, was away last night, got on laptop briefly. Will try and catch up but saying hello all! :)

squidkid · 21/03/2012 18:56

Sorry not been on for a couple of days, was unreasonably anxious about the scan which I blame on too much time on the internet!

Have done 4 hours of commuting today as work called me in cause they had no other doctors even though I said I had this scan 3 weeks ago, sigh. And I drove back for my scan and then have come all the way back for evening surgery, which is what I am doing now, except none of my patients can be bothered to turn up. KNACKERED!!

It was all worth it for a little baby who waved at us, did a somersault, lounged around in my womb in a generally overly relaxed way (definitely a boy)...

Have also found out I'm further on than I thought - 13+1. (Really smug about this.) So I'm in the second trimester baby!!!

It really hasn't sunk in yet. I shut my eyes when she put the probe on my stomach, and roughly 2 seconds later she said, "well there's a baby and a heartbeat"... don't cry squid you're at work!!! What a long 13 weeks it's been. I was almost convinced I'd imagined being pregnant this morning.

YompingJo · 21/03/2012 19:27

Congrats on everyone's scan results, very pleased for you all. Mine's on 5th April which seems AGES away, grr Angry

Went out for a jog tonight - feel very pleased with myself Grin. Really, really, REALLY didn't want to go, but after some gentle encouragement from DH off we went and to be honest I spent the whole time ranting about my shitty day and barely even noticed I was jogging Blush. And then we were back at our road. Feel like it was an achievement comparable with getting man on the moon or something!

Feeling better, but worrying about it, I wish I could stop this - I hate feeling crap but then the instant I feel better I'm worried that something's wrong. Really want to get scan out of the way for some reassurance :(. And still so, so tired after a couple of days at work. Rubbish.

Take care all, not long till the weekend.

Beeblebear · 21/03/2012 20:11

Oh My!!! Put down the crisps! I just got my first "do twins run in your family?" comment Blush 9+4

HaggisNeepsTatties · 21/03/2012 20:25

Squid so pleased that your scan went well and that you're further on that you thought - very jealous that you're in your second trimester! Not so good that you've had to commute for 4 hours today though!

milk worried we've not heard from you - I really hope everything went ok

Beeblebear can't believe that someone said that to you - how rude!

I've had an all right day - definitely starting to get a bit of a bump now, and having to dig out all my looser fitting work clothes. And it's bumps birthday today - 11 weeks!

33, 11 weeks, #1

CWest30 · 21/03/2012 21:10

WOW, I dont remember my last pregnancy being this stressful.....

Been trying to get hold of a midwife on the phone today as just found out that one of the kids in my after school club has suspected mumps :-/ really worried about the impact this could have on bean...tried ringing GP but they just said there is nothing they can do, left messages with idwives requesting a call back, AND the fact that I ahve had no scan date through, and they havent called me back either. I'm not coping well with y new job, rather than it being 20hrs a wk, its more like 30, plus I'm responsible for soooo many things, I dont know if I can handle the responsibility AND have a healthy pregnancy. Theres a part of e that thinks I should jack it all in and go back to my 16 hrs a wk in a shop (if they will have me). I rreally dont know what to do, I'm fed up waiting for a scan date, AND i've got a sore throat coming which is making me worry about the Mumps....aaaarrrrrgggghh. Will wait and see what tomorrow brings I guess, sorry for the rant. Blessings to all xxx

londonlivvy · 21/03/2012 21:20

Hurrah midget and squid for positive scans. That's marvellous.

Milk have been thinking of you - hoping all good.

Well done on the run, yomping.

Cwest that sounds stressful. If you really want to just do 20 hours then perhaps talk to your supervisor?

Tonight I've mostly been trying to stay calm about the negotiations on my flat sale! And been distracting myself with new undies as nothing fits any more - I've gone from an F to a GG. Dear god. Half my shirts don't fit either, but hey, at least it distracts from the growing backside.

Now to one born every minute - all quite calm at the moment!

Guccigirl79 · 21/03/2012 21:24

OMG!!! I was just about to go to bed when the door goes & DP's brother comes strolling in to watch the rest of the stupid footy & announces his girlfriend is on her way over from work! AAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! I'm soo beyond tired I just want to go to bed & to make it worse they dont know about impending bump yet so dont understand why I'm so tired. Why did I have to go & but sky sports????? all because I wanted the f1 channel!!!!!! Damn my stupidness!!!!

Rant over!! :):):)

Beeblebear · 21/03/2012 21:59

Gucci - I also feel tired and ill in the evenings - takes a few tums to get down to sleep some nights cause as soon as i lay down I feel a little green.

Oh - totally sympathy on the house guests!! over the weekend my DH had invited his 1 friend over to shoot their guns (we live in the country) and his friend ended up bringing 2 friends (one which we are not really fond of) and I just wanted to sit on the couch in my pj's in peace, but they were in and out of the house and i had to keep pausing my total chick flick shows on the tv out of embarrasmet over them making lots of noise, then when they were done shooting they all came in and crashed on the couch and started watching zombie movies! GAG!

YompingJo · 22/03/2012 06:39

Good news - on a course today that starts at 9 and finishes at 3:30 (my normal working day involves leaving home at 6:45 to get to work by 7, staying till I'm kicked out at 6 then getting home about 6:30).

Bad news - have left something crucial at school so have to go there first to pick it up. Stupid hormonal forgetful brain Confused.

Slept like a log last night (despite DH coming in when I was just about asleep, and telling me loudly that he was going to shut the door so as not to disturb me Hmm - can men not ever just do something considerate, without telling you about it so they get praise and a gold star???), think it was to do with going for a run -exercise ftw! And I have finally found a use for the pairs of jeans I had that were a good fit everywhere else but massive on the waist (I have had a tiny waist compared to my hips) - since I have been eating far too much thickened out at the waist due to being pregnant (that's what I'm telling myself now, it's easier to bear Blush), they suddenly fit a lot better. Hurray for a whole new wardrobe!

Feel worryingly energetic and silly today, think it means that I will annoy everyone on my course by being the person that makes stupid glib comments all through the day, then crashes at about 1pm and can barely stay awake through the afternoon. Time drags so much on courses compared to being in the classroom - my usual relationship with time is "oh shit, how is that the time!" (is it too early to say shit? Is there a swearing opposite-of-curfew?). Food's good on this course though, might make my jeans fit even better Grin.

Right, I'm annoying myself now, going to go and mark some homework or something. Have a good day everyone, milk fingers crossed everything was OK, and CWest, hope you get contact from your midwife and a scan date soon - I was climbing the walls waiting to hear from my midwife. squid, I've now got second trimester envy.

milk · 22/03/2012 07:19

OMG, I had the day from hell yesterday!!! It was a domino day where one bad thing led to another :( So after being horribly sick, stuck in traffic, peeing myself on the bus after drinking 750ml and being stuck in said traffic and the bus vibrating so much, I horribly missed my appointment :'( I was absolutely devastated to say the least :( It was the only time DH could take off work so now I will go to the scan by myself :(

So I have to call today at 9am and rebook :(
