Morning ladies! Just a quick check on to say scan day for me as well today- fingers crossed for all of us that are getting to see our beans that it goes well Smile I'll report back later and catch up with you all! Have a good day all!

milk · 20/03/2012 09:07

piggyboo, Chrissie, and DameIce, good luck for today... sending positive vibes your way :)

My scan is tomorrow which seems like a life time away- plus it is at 4:20 which is practically my bed time now adays :P

Velo · 20/03/2012 10:03

Bump birthday today - 12 weeks and scan on Thursday. Have just eaten a huge bag of salt and vinegar crisps - oh dear! Suffering from tailbone pain - very sore but at least I managed to cycle into work this morning (actually sitting is the worst).

FjordMor · 20/03/2012 11:33

Good luck today Dame & ChrissieJA - thinking of you both x

piggyboo · 20/03/2012 15:05

scan was all ok :) healthy looking bean with a heartbeat. Got to have scans every other week til i'm 20 weeks but hopefully fingers crossed things will be fine.

Good luck to everyone else having scans today and tomorrow, its strange how the first scan makes everything seem so real x

milk · 20/03/2012 15:09

Congratulations piggyboo :)

As for me... I am tearing my hair out... I just want my scan right now!!! (Yes, my hormones are making me craaaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzzzy!)

londonlivvy · 20/03/2012 15:36

Yay re piggyboo - so glad scan went well.

Fingers xd for Dame and ChrissieJA

I can relate to your impatience, milk, (good luck tomorrow!) I've 4 weeks to go till my scan. Ah well, fortunately we're away over Easter so that'll distract me a bit.

Well done re cycling velo - I am perpetually shattered and mostly eating toast. Oops.

BUT finally had an offer on my flat today (it's been on sale since Jan) so hopefully that means we can serious start progress towards having a house for us and the bean (all being well etc).

Good luck with anyone else who has scans this week that I've missed.

36, 8 weeks today.

Vcarroll · 20/03/2012 15:53

chrissieja so jealous!!! You must tell us all about it!

fjordmor I too have this weird zen thing! Had two men drilling a hole in our basement floor yesterday, declared they found what was causing the sporadic flooding but don't know how it can be fixed or if the insurers will fork out for it... I felt surprisingly calm. Having said that I cried this morning because the cup of tea hubby made me tasted of aftershave!! (I can't stand perfumey smells at the moment and he puts so bloody much on I made him do it somewhere othe than the bedroom and he obviously sprayed it too near my tea)

milk · 20/03/2012 16:46

londonlivvy, where are you going?

DameIceAndaSlicePlease · 20/03/2012 17:37

Well scan was all good and I can confirm the presence of a wriggly bean Smile Which is good as I was beginning to worry that I really has just eaten to much cake- Grin my expanding stomach is getting a bit difficult to hide now!

DameIceAndaSlicePlease · 20/03/2012 17:38

Posted to soon sorry! piggyboo glad to hear yours went well as well, fingers crossed for you CrissieJA Smile

DameIceAndaSlicePlease · 20/03/2012 17:40

Sorry ChrissieJA apparently I can't spell today Blush

ChrissieJA · 20/03/2012 19:11

My scan was amazing!! it was perfect.... 100% healty and really wriggley. I cried! (But im not surprised as i cry and anything these days.) My boyfriend couldnt stop smiling. What an amazing experience. Sorry to gush! It was just so much more than i even thought.
The photo looks like a blob with a waving arm but i cant stop looking at it. How weird that that tiny little thing is down there in my tummy. Hope everyones scans go as well ladies. What a day! and i even had a poo!

milk · 20/03/2012 19:22

Hooray Grin all 3 scans good :D

Now everyone cross your fingers for me tomorrow please :)

HaggisNeepsTatties · 20/03/2012 19:43

ChrissieJa, Dame & piggyboo so pleased all your scan's went well. I've got to wait till a week on Thursday for mine!

Velo I've been having the tailbone pain too, was really bad last week and has got a bit better now, but I find it's sore in the evening if I've spent too much of the day sitting down. Praying that it doesn't last all the way through!

milk wishing you lots of luck for tomorrow

Zoeplankton · 20/03/2012 19:55

Phew - a day and a half of pretty gruelling training later, and an hour and a half in the bath, I feel much better.

Scan is Thursday. I'm kind of dreading it... Trying to be rational (I.e. most babies are fine) but still a little spooked - it really helps to read about all these successful scans here! Thanks everyone :)

Providing all goes well on Thursday, DH are going to have a 'coming out' party on Saturday. I plan to give a little speech, and at the end, lift up my top to show the word 'PREGNANT' written on my belly in liquid eyeliner ;) (I'm a terrible one for dramatic gestures, me!)

milk · 20/03/2012 19:58

Thanks HaggisNeepsTatties

Zoeplankton, I have no idea how I am going to sleep tonight... I am both looking forward and dreading the scan :( plus my scan is only at 4:20 so I have all day to think about it :'(

Smorgs · 20/03/2012 19:59

Hi ladies, sorry for the radio silence recently but there hasn't been much to report. Some symptoms still are there but on the whole im feeling much better. Was even kind of beginning to forget I was pregnant...

Then we had this shooting in Toulouse, where I live, and suddenly I find myself walking around town with my hand on my belly. It's been such a strange 36 hours and people are actually pretty scared, it's so unusual to have this kind of violence here. I keep thinking of the mothers of those children and how they grew their beans inside them for nine months only to have them taken away by some psycho.

Anyway it's great to here people's scans are going well!

CWest30 · 20/03/2012 20:41

congrats to those of u who had good scans today, and welcome lil beans!

ugh, felt queasy, and been retching ALL DAY, even as I write this now.....yuck. Trying to hide it when u work with a bunch of kids AND have not told ur employer yet = difficult to say the least.

Still no date come through for my scan, weird as according to drs dates, I should be 12 wks this week. Fingers crossed it comes in post in next couple of days, I just want to make sure bean is there and is ok.

DameFlatYouLent · 20/03/2012 20:42

Very pleased to hear all the wonderful scan news! Congrats all! I'm quite literally gnashing my teeth with impatience - my scan is 2 weeks today which is so far away [weeps]

DH and I are off work this week - doing nowt too exciting but went to the seaside today with DS which was lovely. DS spent all afternoon chasing seagulls whilst shouting "Duck! Duck!" as all birds are ducks, apparently. He runs like a very fat man who's had about 16 pints so it was very amusing to watch (he's only little and hasn't been walking long in his defence).

I'm relieved DH is off this week as DS is going through a tricky patch with lots of tantrums, refusing to be put in his highchair, refusing nappy changes, and throwing fits at the smallest event. It's very wearing. Tomorrow he's at the CM and we're having a day to ourselves! Can't wait!

Bedtime for me...

Great news about the scans peeps - so pleased for you all! :o x

Midgetm · 20/03/2012 20:56

Evening all, congratulation to all those with positive scan news. It's a beautiful moment indeed.

Smorgs such a shocking loss of life. I was listening to the details in the car today and it made me gag and I'm not even close. It must be so hard on your community right now. Difficult to imagine such cold blooded cruelty.

I have had a crazy day at work, regretting taking this promotion. All a but much when knackered and nauseous. Roll on 2nd trimester. Anyways enough of my whining. Big wave to all x x

Vcarroll · 20/03/2012 22:19

cwest30 that is crazy that your scandals hasn't come through... I got my appt through weeks ago if I were you I'd phone your midwife and check you haven't been forgotten!

dameflat just wanted to say our scans our the same day! Counting down....

Vcarroll · 20/03/2012 22:19

Correction.... I did not mean scandals lol... Scan date!

Guccigirl79 · 21/03/2012 08:34

Morning ladies :)

Glad to see everyone's scans are going well,I have to wait 2 wks & 1 day for mine,it seems such a long time away! & DP had mini meltdown sunday night when he realised it's a couple of weeks away now (think it's starting to hit home with him now)

Smorgs such a tragedy where you are at the moment, thinking of you & your community Thanks In other news I think we're due the same day if I'm not mistaken? 16th Oct
