Is there anyone around who has just found out that they are pregnant and are due in Sept?
I know it's very early days but I thought maybe I could get the ball rolling...
I'm due around Sept 4th I think, with DC2, feeling very happy if a bit nervous :)

Very sorry to hear that alien Sad

sasslejaney84 · 26/01/2012 18:03

I'm so sorry to hear that alien such sad news :-(

Littlespade, I'm exactly the same!! I get stressy at the slightest thing and I'm constantly having to wake up and go to the loo at really odd times and having some very strange dreams... Is anyone else having odd dreams??

My dh2b is getting annoyed at the amount of wind I have!! (Sorry for tmi)!

I'm due on the 3rd of september and have only just got my first midwife appt next weds!! Bloody useless! God knows when I'll be having my scan!

Has anyone had any strange muscle pulling?? Mine seems to have moved upwards now and is at the top part of my stomach!! Plus, I'm showing already!! Please tell me that someone else is like this (its only my second baby) and its NOT twins!!!

oikopolis · 26/01/2012 18:09

^ I feel like I'm showing too, but it's more likely the horrendous wind/constipation from the prenatal iron supplement!... grrrr.

sasslejaney84 · 26/01/2012 18:16

I'm just using folic acid (its what I used with my first) but I've still got constipation and terrible wind too!! Plus my appeitite is HUGE!! I'm eating myself out of house and home but I'm still watching what I eat and trying my best to stick to the recommended daily kcal intake as I don't wanna have an uphill battle to loose it all once peanut arrives!! I did the same with my DD so hoping that I'm the same this time!!

oikopolis · 26/01/2012 18:30

sassle i'm taking 5x the normal dose of folic (problems run in family), so maybe that's what's doing it to me too... urgh... feel the size of a house and the baby isn't even an inch long yet!

Also eating myself out of house and home. Keep finishing my packed lunch at 11am and then fretting about how hungry I am again at 3pm.

LittleSpade · 26/01/2012 18:40

oikopolis I'm eating loads too - my stomach keeps on rumbling and if i ignore it i just get headachy and feel more sick.

Feeling larger round the waste too but i'm not sure its all the eating as my weight is steady / decreasing slightly (due to healthy kick after christmas)! Very confusing stuff.

sasslejaney84 · 26/01/2012 18:51

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who is this hungry!!

I have to eat breakfast with my daughter and then I have to have a couple of slices of toast after I get back!! Its getting ridiculous!

oki I feel like I'm massive and I keep checking how big as I am as I'm convinced I'm gonna be massive!!

sasslejaney84 · 26/01/2012 18:52

oik even!! Sorry hun!!

mirikat · 26/01/2012 19:05

Never heard of Mumsnet before, and never ever written a post on an online talkboard, but having just found out I'm pregnant with my first child, I've become an internet crawler, and came across this forum, and this thread, and it's like a whole new world opening up!! Found out last Saturday that I'm 4 weeks, and this morning I met with a gynae who confirmed it (by blood test). So strange that this is really happening - I am British but living outside of the UK and am far from family so very very daunted! Coming back to London in March to have 12 week scan (assuming all goes well until then), and have no idea what to expect between now and then - currently not really experiencing any symptoms other than my trousers feeling tight, but that could be due to the post xmas/NY poundage I didn't get round to shedding! If there's no puking yet, does that mean I'm in the clear and won't be a sufferer??? Will a seven hour overnight flight to London in March be the undoing of me??? So many questions and no one here I can ask - all answers gratefully received!!

oikopolis · 26/01/2012 19:14

mirikat congrats!!
nice that you've had no sickness! FWIW i'm 6ish weeks, i haven't been sick at all, some ladies don't get ms. I have been pg before (loss) and had no sickness/nausea even up to 14 weeks. Some ladies get sick literally the moment the little bean implants, 2ish weeks in.

You should be fine on the flight! At least it's only 7 hours -- just drink lots of water and eat when offered. (you'll probably be permanently starving by March)

oikopolis · 26/01/2012 19:16

sassle I'm the same with the toast... only with me it's toasted English muffins... I sneak one in every evening before DH gets home from work, butter and marmalade, if someone's standing between me and the toaster they might be risking their life. lol

holls2000 · 26/01/2012 19:19

alien so so sorry. hugs. Lots of hugs.

My body is confusing me. Spotting this am, then nothing, then something, now nothing. Feckity Feckity feck. Next Friday can't come soon enough.

In other news am getting increasingly knackered and boobs/nipples hurt. No sickness at all. Waist feels thicker too.

mirikat · 26/01/2012 19:28

Thanks for the answer - the gynae told me to continue taking folic acid (which I've been doing 'just in case' for the last three months), but said not to take any other pregnancy vitamins for a few more weeks...is that normal?! The healthcare system over here is a little different, so am a bit dubious about the advice I might get!!

lurkingmurking · 26/01/2012 19:41

Oh my god Alien I am so so sorry. You are a very brave lady

Good news iph whatevertheweather millonthefloss - gosh this is all such a rollercoaster

mirikat welcome! You should be good for the flight - just have lots of water and snacks!

holls I have everything crossed for you.

Good tip for snacks - M&S have got a new 'guilt free snack' range which looks good.

Ok TMI but does anyone have a lot of discharge? Eek I keep thinking it's blood and crap myself then have a look and it's just clear.

sasslejaney84 · 26/01/2012 19:41

I was just told to take folic acid, no other pg vitamins!

My body is confusing me too, I keep getting odd cramps and strange stretchy pains! The main problem is the cramps... Mostly it turns out to be trapped wind but its petrifying me!!

I'm feeling sick but not actually been sick as yet, my boobs hurt like hell (especially my nipples) and my back is hurting too...

oik most people tend to dive out of the kitchen if I say I'm hungry and my best friend always has a sausage sandwich ready for when I come over as she knows I'm gonna be hungry afetr a half hour journey on the bus!!

sasslejaney84 · 26/01/2012 19:42

lurking I'm the same!! The amount of times I've rushed to the toilet and found its just discharge is unreal!!

Dorita75 · 26/01/2012 19:47

Alien I'm so sorry, what you've written is really lovely and I'm sending you and your family lots of love xx

To all those scoffing. Yes. I tried to make a fresh start this week and be healthy. Had mushroom soup at 4pm, with 2 pieces of bread, cheese then a chelsea bun. At 7pm I was scoffing a portion of chips and curry sauce from the chippy, topped off with a turkish delight and a chunky kitkat...Feel like I am a chunky kitkat.

oikopolis · 26/01/2012 19:53

Also getting the stretchy pains/cramps that turn out to be wind...
And the running to the loo only to find discharge...

looks like we are all doing just fine girls! nothing unusual!

Macaroons · 26/01/2012 20:00

alien I'm so sorry for your loss. Big hugssss.

holls my nipples are very itchy too and I noticed they certainly changed shape. Need to get new bras but the non wired option is very limited at M&S. Is wired bra really a no-no?

oik, littlespade, iph I've been eating more lately. After a bowl of special k cereal before I head to the station, i felt like I wanted a sausage and egg muffin when I get to the office! I've had 2 already this week Blush

oikopolis · 26/01/2012 20:05

Macaroons! Would you believe i did the exact same thing last week... ate a bowl of cereal at home, got to work, COULD NOT walk past the caf and not buy a bacon and egg muffin.

Am now eating a mahoosive bowl of oats (made with milk instead of water) every morning at work in order to distract myself from the fryups.

EthelredOnAGoodDay · 26/01/2012 20:43

We are going to have to start a new thread soon ladies. We are nearly at the end!! Any suggestions for witty titles?!!! Confused

OutMeAndDie · 26/01/2012 21:06

So so so so sorry alien

Yes to cramps and twinges. Yes to running to the loo in a panic. Yes to feeling sick but not being sick. Yet somehow I'm constantly worrying I'm not actually pregnant.

crowette · 26/01/2012 21:11

My appetite has pretty much stayed the same - but I do tend to find I can no longer finish a meal, I'm just not enjoying it! I'm also having trouble finding anything that doesn't give me chronic wind! It's both ends, one after the other - constantly! Blush

I'm now sitting up in bed wearing a tight stretchy top to contain my boobs and stop them from aching - think I'm going to have to go get measured for new bras as mine all dig in now (am 36H normally!) My work trousers are now digging in when I sit down or bend over. I feel constantly bloated.

I was concerned earlier today as my boobs felt nearly normal, but a few hours later they were bulging out of my bra again and the wires digging into my side. Fun Hmm but as I keep telling OH, it's good to have these symptoms!

sasslejaney84 · 26/01/2012 21:31

I keep worrying I'm not pregnant too!! Even though, I've had massively swollen and painful boobs every day!! (That's the only constant sign!)

I feel sick now but I have a feeling that may have something to do with the fact that I have a cold :-(

Iph · 26/01/2012 22:03

Oh Alien I'm so desperately sorry. As dorita said, what you have written is beautiful, thank you for sharing it with us. Take solace in your lovely family and take care of yourself.

misscoffee so pleased you had a good scan but know that that appointment must have been so hard. I hope you got some answers and some peace x

rusulka so sorry that the spotting continues. I have had pretty much continous brown discharge since just over 5 weeks and three red bleeds (each progressively heavier). They saw a sub chorionic haematoma which is probably that cause and although they think it is resolving, have said I may bleed again but not to worry unless I am soaking a pad or have pain as well. The not worrying part is easier said than done though, isn't it? I hope you can checked out again soon.
