Is there anyone around who has just found out that they are pregnant and are due in Sept?
I know it's very early days but I thought maybe I could get the ball rolling...
I'm due around Sept 4th I think, with DC2, feeling very happy if a bit nervous :)

Ah, thanks for that! The EPU said that next time I can come in for an early scan at around 8 weeks so I'll be doing that.

Good luck with getting an early scan yourself.

MistletoePoirot · 01/01/2012 11:59

Hello ! Found you - I started a thread in ante-natal and then iph kindly pointed me over here! Got a faint line last thurs so bought two digital ones both said pregnant on thurs and fri. We already have one DD who was 2 Beginning of Dec. we've been trying for a year so it was quite a shock in some ways!! I am a type II diabetic, and usually use tablets and diet to control it, even though I was literally 4 weeks exactly I have already had to start injecting insulin this time.

Congratulations to everyone else!

Hotcupofteaplease · 01/01/2012 12:41

Hi ladies, can I join you please? We found out yesterday that we are pregnant with DC2, DS1 is 2.7. EDD 03.09.12, my cycles have been quite long and irregular since coming off the pill in September, so the date will probably change after I've seen the doctor. Congratulations to you all!

Ponyclubmum · 01/01/2012 16:18

Congratulations on all the BFPs! I got mine yesterday, so can I join you please? I'm pregnant with DC2, EDD is 6th Sept. We were TTC for 5 months, it took 6 months for DS1 who is now 2 years 8 months. We're very excited!

saxony · 01/01/2012 16:25

Hi can i join here too please? We found out yesterday that I'm pregnant - said 2-3 weeks. Due about 3-4 Sept I think. Weird thing is that it was New Year's Eve 7 years ago that I found out I was pregnant with my DS. So baby will be due about ds's birthday!!

rightontime · 01/01/2012 17:15

Congratulations to everyone so far. Please may I join too? My EDD 1/9/2 All going well this will be my 3rd DC. I have 2 boys 5 and 2 and sadly had a still birth at 24weeks in July this year so thisis my 4thpregnancy. Am terrified and happy all at the same time. Don't want to get excited yet though just incase. I am quite positive that 2012 will be a good year though so FC for a happy thread. Am 5+1 today I believe.

Poppyjen · 01/01/2012 19:13

Hello ladies may I join in too? I got my BFP on 28th Dec on CB Digi which said "2-3" weeks, but as I thought I was only 12 dpo I am now a bit Confused as to my dates... GP has booked me in for an early dating scan which should hopefully be in a couple of weeks.

We have been trying for 11 months for DC2 (DS is 21 months), and I had a miscarriage in May at 6/7 weeks. Fingers crossed this one will stick Smile

I am generally feeling terrified and constantly analysing every single twinge...

I will add myself to the stats after the scan as I don't know the EDD yet. By my calculations (I was temping using fertility friend) I think EDD should be somewhere between the 3rd and 7th September....

Spuddybean · 01/01/2012 21:45

Hi all. Has anyone been having any, er, symptoms (do you call them that?)?

My boobs feel bigger, firmer and very sore and i have been feeling sick. Also I am exhausted and quite intolerant of DP!

...Oh yes and there is the blindness in one eye :(

signet2012 · 01/01/2012 21:52

Im really unnaturally tired too.

DP getting right on my nerves too.

MistletoePoirot EDD ?
Poppyjen EDD ?

Hope everyone had a great New Year's Eve, we had some close friends of DH over, it was nice to get to know them a bit better. Over-catered as usual, just can't seem to get buffets right!

Can the ladies who've been PG before give me an idea of when I can expect my first midwives appt? Do I have to wait until first scan time? I would have thought it makes sense to lecture me about diet and weight before that, lol, but have no idea so thought I'd check.

Viola I keep doing the same! It's my only symptom, so I'm clinging to it somewhat. If I'm having a nightie day, and my boobs are unrestricted, it's obvious they're sore whenever I move, but if I'm actually dressed, I can't feel it at all. Can't wait for more symptoms or a bigger belly.

Rusulka · 01/01/2012 21:58

Sorry, cross posted.

Spuddy I think you should get your eye checked out, that sounds quite worrying.

And I agree with both you and Signet, DH is somewhat irking me. He's got a cold so sits sniffing in bed while he's on his laptop- over and over again. The sound is both irritating and revolting, and does my head in. I'm not normally this sensitive about snotty noises, but it makes me feel a bit ill to listen to.

cakeismysaviour · 01/01/2012 22:01

Oi, you missed me out! Grin

ViolaCrayola · 01/01/2012 22:12

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Grin

Hi, welcome and congrats to all the new ladies :)

Rusulka - Glad you had a nice New Year's... I had my first midwife appointment last time at 6 weeks, which was a bit on the early side I think, but it's usually around 6-8 weeks as far as I know. They help you to arrange your first scan (12 weeks) so it has to be well before then.

Spuddy - the eye thing sounds quite worrying, I would definitely get it checked out. Hope it feels better soon.

I have been having major mood swings too! I had a nice mellow new year and new year's day though which has made me feel a bit more chilled.
Only really worrying thing is that I can feel my SPD pain coming back - already Shock. I had it pretty badly last time (needed crutches by the end) but it only started at 20 weeks. Will try to see a physio/oesteopath ASAP.

Rusulka
Yes i have been on many threads, been trying for a year!

So happy although t be honest, this was the one month I "knew" I wasnt!

mummyfirsttime · 01/01/2012 23:22

Hello, im due around the 5-7th September. First time very nevous!!

EthelredOnAGoodDay · 01/01/2012 23:26

Hello! Pls can you add me too! Due 8th sept, so still very cautious about it all. No symptoms yet, bit none with DC1 so keeping my fingers crossed!! Have DD just turned 2. Feeling very cautious still at this stage as very early days and don't want to get my hopes up too much yet! Looking forward to chatting more! Grin

MrsHerculePoirot · 02/01/2012 09:10

Sry I forgot to say my due date is 7th September (I was mistletoe poirot).

Davidsmom · 02/01/2012 10:56

Hi Guys,

Hope everyone doing well. I'm a bit worried as although my boobs are still mega sore, being prodded every few minutes doesnt help! But I seem to have lost the nausea I had initially and dont feel tired today. Of course the early night I had last night- 8 hours relatively uninterrupted sleep ( a rarity for me) may have helped. Even went out for a jog today.

Viola- I got SPD badly in both my pregnancies and was on crutches for a few months- its a real bugger isnt it. Started getting twinges a few days ago then again nothing today, cant believe I actually want it to help me feel am still pregnant. Blush

Early scan booked for 12th- £95. Had them at 6-7 weeks with both DC but had appropriate signs/symptoms so got them on the NHS. Nothing relevant this time so think I better stump up the cash.

ViolaCrayola · 02/01/2012 11:05

Hello mummyfirsttime and Ethelred! Congrats and welcome :)

Davidsmom - Just wanted to say that my nausea is really on and off too... think it's such early days I wouldn't worry about symptoms fluctuating a bit. Although of course I AM worrying every time my boobs feel slightly less sore Blush
SPD - it's terrible isn't it. I'm actually really worried that I may end up incapacitated really early this time. Do mind me asking when you got it in your second preg? And was there anything that helped? Am desperate to take preventative measures!

rightontime · 02/01/2012 13:14

No symptoms for me yet but perhaps being the school holidays and getting a lay in every morning I don't notice being tired because I can sleep whenever I want at the mo.

Rusulka Normally they ask a lot of back ground medical history at your first MW appt. Luckily when my DH and I had our first, my SIL was with me so she knew the family history as I didn't have a clue. Sometimes they do your weight as well, don't think there is much else.

CustardL · 02/01/2012 14:02

Hi all,

Found out today that I am pregnany with 2nd child. Already have DD aged 4 years old. I think I have forgotten everything about pregnancy! Estimated due date is 10/09/12. Very excited.

Davidsmom · 02/01/2012 15:15

Hi,

Congratulations Custard. I've had 2 DC already and forgotten everything about being pregnant between each. Things always change as well especially foods. With my first DC nuts were out but alcohol was OK 1-2 units 1-2 a week, with 2nd DC alcohol was out and I think nuts are OK now.....Confused And in both I avoided everything but the most basic cheese and just found out that stilton isnt on an "avoid" list Yeah Smile

Just had a 40 minute car trip and felt quite carsick so definately a bit queasy still.Smile

Viola- I was on crutches for the last 2 months with my first but had pushed it badly as got very bad advice and worked too long with the SPD. My second I went on the crutches outside for the last 4 months which helped a lot and didnt push it as much. Saw a good physio but still didnt stop it. Unfortunately I'm one of the unlucky ones that kept it postnatally too. Which didnt really help as both deliveries were C-sections. If things work out I'm going to see a physio about 12 weeks (if I have to camp outside their door) and will try antenatal pilates if I can find a class. Have been doing a class for the last year and its helped a lot. Used to get it when having periods etc in the long term.
You probably have found it already but www.pelvicpartnership.org (may not be org, google if cant find- sorry not good at links) is very useful. Happy to chat about things I found helpful, unfortunately, havent found a cure Sad

Better go and check on DH he has had the kids for 5 mins and sound frustrated already.....

Trillian79 · 02/01/2012 15:15

Hello everyone, congratulations to everyone Smile

I was wondering if anyone can advise. I'm really worried as I had a small amount of spotting yesterday. Was just slightly pink when I wiped for a couple of hours. Was convinced that it was all over, but today so far nothing. I even took another pg test which was positive (was digital one too and it said 2-3 weeks pregnant so I'm assuming hcg levels are as high as they should be?).

Anyway, I still haven't had an initial doctors appointment so have no-one to ask about it. Has anyone else had spotting? Sad

Davidsmom · 02/01/2012 15:23

Hi Trillian.

sorry to hear about the spotting, unfortunately I havent experienced it (yet)but sure I have seen people asking about it on other threads in the past and its not uncommon and things to be OK especially as its stopped. But am sure someone will come along who can help.

I tested again myself this morning and 2-3 weeks too if that helps at all?

Thinking of you.

AmandinePoulain · 02/01/2012 16:00

trillion I've had bleeding in both my pregnancies, one had a good outcome and one didn't. With my first I bled from around 5-6 weeks until 13, I'd have red blood that would turn brown and pink, it turned out to be from my cervix. Dd is now nearly 4. At this early stage it's probably implantation bleeding. The only thing I can suggest is trying to get hold of an out of hours dr who can refer you to an epu in the morning to put your mind at rest.
