Is there anyone around who has just found out that they are pregnant and are due in Sept?
I know it's very early days but I thought maybe I could get the ball rolling...
I'm due around Sept 4th I think, with DC2, feeling very happy if a bit nervous :)

I did another test today just to make sure Blush Still positive Grin

Just really don't 'feel' pregnant. Have to keep reminding myself it's early days. I was 11 weeks before I twigged with dd1.

Sorry to hear a few of you are suffering with insomnia. I think Custard is right a lot of it is probably because our minds are racing with nerves, anxiety, excitement and hormones.

Still thinking of you TheDetective and got my fx for you ponyclub xx

TheDetective · 08/01/2012 23:31

Still bleeding, and cramping. Its definitely heavier than a period - although not as heavy as the time I had the coil....... and I don't usually get cramps.

Tomorrow, I will do another test.

I don't know whether I'm coming or going right now. Still wish I hadn't done an early test.

vix82 · 08/01/2012 23:41

Hello everyone I would like to join you all.
Think I'm due about 14th sept.
So sorry to see your having trouble thedective I hope you get some answers soon,I know the waiting is the hardest thing from experience.hang in there!
I pretty much have morning sickness but all in the evenings yuk!

dubaipieeye · 09/01/2012 08:30

Sadly I think I have to say goodbye to this thread. Started bleeding heavily last night and haven't stopped yet Sad

Macaroons · 09/01/2012 08:45

Morning all, hope everyone had a good weekend. Sorry to hear that you are having some bleeding issue, detective, Dubai and pony fingers crossed for you all. And welcome to all new joiners who recently got BFPs Grin

I still don't have much symptoms apart from minor cramping, still eating and sleeping alright. Sorry to hear about those with sleeping problems hope that will go away soon! (another way of thinking about it: it's helping you get ready for the new born?Wink) Looking forward to the next weekend already though!!

I was reading the NHS website, it says sushi is fine if the fish has been frozen before? Really? I love sushi and at first I thought I have to give that up for 10 months!

Iph · 09/01/2012 09:13

Ack, this is the awful part of threads like this in the early days, all the worry and losses. :(

Sadly, I think I am probably amongst that number. The brown mucusy stuff progressed to red blood on wiping yesterday. Trying to take heart in the fact that it's not been a full-on 'bleed' but not feeling very hopeful. Scan this afternoon which will hopefully clarify things either way.

Thinking of all of you who are bleeding or having a scare, it's such a horrible time.

Macaroons · 09/01/2012 09:21

Iph fingers crossed for you. Hope it's nothing to worry about!

Whatevertheweather · 09/01/2012 09:41

Thinking of you iph and dubai. It's such a hard time and shows what a bloody miracle every baby is xx

Macaroons · 09/01/2012 10:26

whatevertheweather yea it feels like there are so many hurdles! First you need to get a BFP then all these scares, then scans and tests results ... It's a long road with many hurdles. Hope we will all jump through these hurdles

MediumOrchid · 09/01/2012 10:34

Thinking of everyone having bleeding - hope that your scan goes well Iph.

I don't really have any symptoms - it seems a strange thing to want to feel sick but I really do!

Macaroons · 09/01/2012 12:36

I ordered a Thai chicken green curry for lunch thinking its not gonna be spicy but it is quite spicy and hot.

Is spicy and hot food ok during pregnancy? (sorry if this is a silly question)

Macaroons · 09/01/2012 12:43

Did some googling, think its fine. Phew!

Ponyclubmum · 09/01/2012 12:51

Yeah, think it's fine Macaroons. I think the problem with spicy food is just that it can cause heartburn which you're more prone to in pregnancy.

No more bleeding today, just a hint of brown on the toilet paper when I wipe after having a wee (sorry tmi!). Still worrying though, can't wait to see the MW tomorrow.

Macaroons · 09/01/2012 13:02

pony glad to hear the bleed has stopped! Hope it's nothing to worry about but good to chat to your MW tmr!

Ponyclubmum · 09/01/2012 13:07

Yeah it's reassuring to know I don't have long to wait - the first time I bled with my first pregnancy we were on holiday in Spain, and had to wait 2 weeks til we got home then wait for an appointment. That wasn't a fun holiday!

Hotcupofteaplease · 09/01/2012 13:41

thedetective and Dubai I am thinking of you, fingers crossed that it all works out.
Iph I hope your scan goes okay this afternoon.
Ponyclubmum good news that the bleeding has stopped; really hope the MW can put your mind at rest a little tomorrow.

Macaroons make the most of your spicy lunches; once the heartburn and indegestion kicks in you'll want plain, plain and more plain!

Whatevertheweather I know what you mean about not feeling pregnant; I just feel (and look) really bloated! Plus the constant need to wee of course...

cakeismysaviour · 09/01/2012 13:42

Hi again everyone. Gosh this thread has grown in the short time I have been away from it. So sorry to hear that some people are having losses and/or scares, but also nice to see all the new ladies who have joined.

Having a stressful time here atm, landlord has announced he is doubling the rent and it looks like we will need to leave in the next 5-6 weeks. Not good timing, especially with a 4 month old baby and another on the way. :(

rightontime · 09/01/2012 13:59

Sorry to hear of everyones stressful times Sad Fingers are firmly crossed for everyone bleeding. I really hope that scans/appointments and tests bring you good news.

Cake Is your landlord allowed to do that. I thought it was 2 months notice for a change in rent and they can only increase it once a year and at the end of a contract. Renting is so stressful. We are looking to buy somewhere at the moment but our landlords casually mentioned selling this to us but no clue as to how much they want or when they want to sell it so we just have to wait and see. The hardest part is the slowly increasing MS and having to drag myself around estate agents and looking at houses. I hope you can sort something out. Is your local housing association an option?

cakeismysaviour · 09/01/2012 14:09

We are at the end of a contract and expected a rent increase (rents in the area have gone up), but double is way more than we can afford. I will investigate the 2 months notice though, as landlord wants the increased rent from next week!

We hope to find something else, there seems to be quite a few houses/flats advertised for rent so keeping fingers crossed we can find somewhere else.

ViolaCrayola · 09/01/2012 16:10

Hello, so sorry to hear of the feared losses. :(
Am thinking of you all and really hope things work out well.

Cakeismysaviour, that is awful news I'm appalled on your behalf. See here for some info about the rules - there must be one month's notice according to this site

We are worried about this too as other flats in our block have been renting out for about £400 more than we pay per month - arrgh...
Really hope you can find something else really nice. I know moving isn't fun with little one(s) but I have done it twice so let me know if you want any tips!

Iph · 09/01/2012 16:29

Thanks so much for all the good wishes, much appreciated. :)

Had the scan this afternoon and they could see no reason for bleeding. No heartbeat yet but gestation and yolk sac present, measuring 5 weeks 5 days which is pretty much spot on for what I thought so I have to take that as good news for now. Have another scan in 16 days (guess which 16 days will be longest in all eternity?!) but obviously have to go in if bleeding gets any heavier. It's back down to just brown when I wipe now, so fingers crossed it's on it's way out.
Finding it hard to believe that this isn't the beginning of a miscarriage, I know many people have bleeding early on or throughout pregnacy but I've had two healthy pregnancies without any and one missed miscarriage where the brown discharge of doom was the only sign Hmm

ponyclub so glad your bleeding has settled, now let that be an end to it!

cakeismysaviour sorry you're having a stressful time too, definitely look into your rights (maybe Citizen's Advice could help?).

flipflopper · 09/01/2012 16:45

Iph, thats good news, it sounds like you are measuring correctly for your dates. Hope the next 16 days fly by!

I am getting obsessed with going to the loo, just to make sure im not bleeding! I dont know why I am expecting to, just being paranoid.

I was feeling a bit sick this morning, but i think that was because it was dd's first day back at school, and she got a brace on her teeth last week, so was feeling really worried for her! She had a good day thankfully!

Ponyclubmum · 09/01/2012 17:11

Iph, glad your scan went well. Hope you can keep busy for the next 16 days so they go fast for you!

flipflopper, I keep catching myself heading off to the loo to check. Have to stop myself or I'll be in there all day!

Macaroons · 09/01/2012 17:59

iph that's reassuring. I'm thinking of paying for a private scan as I don't wanna wait till week 12 which would mid February! Was your scan abdominal or otherwise, if you don't mind me asking?

cake it's annoying that you are forced to put up with huge increases or have to move at such short notice. Have you tried talking to your landlord saying how good tenants you are, keep flat in good order and pay rent on time etc? That's how my sister talked down the rent increase by half. No harm trying!
