Dachs I just wanted to say that I will be thinking of you and Mr Dachs, and Alexander and Felicia very much tomorrow. You have chosen a beautiful reading but I am sorry that you had to choose at all.

OrangeGloss · 02/06/2011 07:14

Mamap miniorange was going mental the day of my exam and that was only for one day, so I can imagine when you say it like that. Have a fab time

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 02/06/2011 07:28

dachs I'm thinking of you and your family today and saying a special prayer for Alexander and Felicia. No mother should have to go through this; but I'm wishing you all the love and strength you need to get through it. We are all with you in spirit xxx

Dachs I've been thinking of you all morning. I hope you are finding the strength to get through today xxx

SadlyNoLongerDiffedDachs · 02/06/2011 20:48

Thanks for the support today

Details: The reading I have copied below. The music was the Aled Jones version of You Raise Me Up, the Glenn Close and Phil Collins version of You'll Be In My Heart, the love theme from the ballet of Romeo and Juliet and the Moonlight Sonata

Do not stand at our grave and weep
We are not there. We do not sleep.
We are a thousand winds that blow.
We are the diamond glints on snow.
We are the sunlight on ripened grain.
We are the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
We are the swift uplifting rush.
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
We are the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at our grave and cry;
We are not there. We did not die.

The ceremony was beautiful. The coffins were tiny and heartbreaking but the service was beautiful.

We have also commissioned a special ring with a pink sapphire and a blue sapphire to remember them by.

tiggersreturn · 02/06/2011 21:57

Dachs - I'm glad the ceremony was beautiful. Your reading made me cry and the ending is very fitting for the twins.

CollieandPup · 02/06/2011 22:03

((hugs)) dachs I'm glad the service went 'well' I can't imagine how sad it must have been. Everything sounds like a perfect tribute and I think the ring is a beautiful way to remember them by and always have close. Xx

getawiggleon · 02/06/2011 23:31

Dachs The details of your service are beautiful. You are still very much in my thoughts. Sending you love and best wishes xx

OrangeGloss · 03/06/2011 06:43

Dachs it really does sound beautiful and a perfect tribute. The ring is a perfect way to keep them both with you and remembered xx

Daisybell1 · 03/06/2011 07:37

Dachs you were in my thoughts yesterday, and I'm so angry and sorry that you've had to go through this experience. I will hunt out some Lily of the Valley this weekend and plant them in my garden too.

If you wanted something 'indoors' to do, how about making a patchwork quilt? I've been learning how to do this and I find it calming, but it needs concentration and focus, so helps block other things out of my mind.

Have more info if it might be your thing.

xxx

CaribouMoo · 03/06/2011 14:38

Just popping on to say that I was thinking of Mr and Mrs Dachs yesterday and that my candles were also lit for Alexander and Felicia. The ring sounds perfect, as does the ceremony. Hope you are as well as can be Dachs.

Will try and catch up properly soon with everyone's news - thanks for all your wishes and congratulations x

nickstermum · 03/06/2011 16:08

Dachs i cried all the way from home to bristol yesterday thinking of you, and hoping you had the strength to get through yesterday. (I was feeling a little emotional anyway...but you and your family were very very much in my thoughts)

I think the idea of your ring is beautiful and very very precious. xx

lia66 · 03/06/2011 21:20

Just popped on to say hi and to say to dachs I'm glad things went smoothly yesterday, your readings and service sound beautiful. I'm just sorry you had to go through it at all.

For the record louise is 18 wks now and everything is goingwell, I'm sure she won't mind me passing that news on. :)

Had little P's 8 wk check and first imms today, she's gained almost 3lb since birth so doing well bless her, she is adorable. Grin

Good luck to anyone nrear the top. Have good weekend, enjoy the weather. x

SadlyNoLongerDiffedDachs · 04/06/2011 16:06

dachs is feeling bad that she appears to have killed the thread. She is currently moping at at home and has flu so she's miserable enough already without feeling like she's killed MN. So if anyone feels like posting something positive and life affirming rather than hiding in fear of upsetting her then please do. Otherwise she will hunt you down and force feed you biscuits until you start posting again. Grin

UrbanLolly · 04/06/2011 18:05

Don't be silly dachs all the ladies are prob out enjoying some sunshine.... Sorry you have flu.... That's crap.... I'm currently hideing in the shoe cupboard in work eating a bag of dolly mixtures eventhough I can feel the heart burn on it's way...
Any whiskey in the house? Always good for flu...some hot water lemon cloves and a spoon of sugar it will take the edge off and give a nice warm feeling down to your toes. Hope you feel better soon

Waves to everyone else ESP ladies at top!!!! Good luck xxxxx

owlbooty · 04/06/2011 19:15

Dachs I'm going to pat you with this small sardine for even daring to consider you might have killed the thread. Shock

I have no kitchen and no hot water as the builders have taken my house to bits; and my darling husband has singed his eyebrows and eyelashes whilst attempting to barbecue dinner.

I'm not sure if that's positive and life-affirming but it did look bloody funny Grin

You want a hot toddy. Honey, lemon, hot water and whisky. Will help the grotty feeling and send you to sleep. Also, yummy booze.

Now where are those biscuits you promised to force-feed me???
