Hello all! I'm awake Confused but luckily today is my last day at work so I can officially become nocturnal!

Sorry, haven't scrolled back but will have a proper look on the train later. Hope everyone's ok! Xx

OrangeGloss · 29/07/2011 06:11

I have to say a quick a whoop!! for Pink Grin will catch up with the rest later

Daisybell1 · 29/07/2011 09:07

Morning all, have got soooo much to catch up on!

Urban that is one gorgeous full name - what a stunner Grin I love family names too.

Congrats on your scan Blackkat and on being team yellow! I have similar cat worries - mine is currently asleep in the moses basket Confused I'm wondering about getting one of those cat net things...

Orange so sorry you had another scare, but so glad all's ok - it is an anxious time, isn't it? You have my sympathies over trying to work out a pattern as I'm driving myself crazy with it too. Daisybean can be incredibly quiet, but if I went in every time she was like that, I'd never leave

Am interested that yours and Wombat's midwives think you're going to be early -how do they know????

Lara I say decorate girl! And agree whole-heartedly re your dogs - they're your pooches, you know them best!

Harassed I'm also sorry about your mum's comments. I know you say there's a reason for them, but it can't make it easier for you to hear Good luck for your scan!

Blackkat did you get an answer to the BH thing? I asked work yesterday, and they didn't know! They're going to find out for me.... If I get them, then it looks like I'll be off from next week, to next mid-October Shock

Hope you had a lovely time in Hebden Bridge Collie we have relatively there and I really liked it last time I visited.

Hurrah for Wombat's house move!!!!

Minnie congrats on the scan and team blue - wey hey!!!!

And thanks Lara I've just spat tea all over the laptop with your story

Am off to my friend's house today to be her au pair - she has two boys aged 2 1/2 and 1 month - hopefully I'll come back knowing how to change a nappy and have a bit more of a clue

Lemon cake is in the oven - will leave slices out when its done.

harassedandherbug · 29/07/2011 09:08

Morning!

Lara that's hilarious! And a nightmare all rolled into one Grin.

Pink Boooo for early mornings but yaaaay for start of ml!

I hate it when the thread goes onto a new page as I can't scroll back to check what everyone's posted .

Thank you for all the messages yesterday, it's soo nice to have you all around especially for something like this that no one else would understand. I feel a little better today, just panicked tbh. Rushed home last night for a doppler fix, and had a couple more since. My thoughts are VERY irrational, I know this but I'm still thinking them! Bug has obviously turned right round as I'm not feeling so much movement and the place to find the hb has changed. Move back bug!!!! 20 week scan on Tuesday so feeling a bit anxious about that, plus due date on the 11th. And ds1 told dh (his step dad) that dil is preg again. No one has told me yet, despite texting with dil most of the week!! Maybe the mc's are making them treat me differently.

Sorry, another me, me, me post!!!

owlbooty · 29/07/2011 09:31

I'm still here, no sign of his lordship turning up just yet. Am having all manner of stupid problems as bp has gone a bit haywire due to extreme anxiety. Home birth is out the window; at this rate they'll have me strapped down to a fecking bed on a ward for the next week then pressurize me until I agree to induction. I have, predictably, told them where they can shove this ridiculous plan as I am showing no signs of pre-eclampsia at all and Owlet is quite happy in there and still growing and kicking nicely. Mr Boots is getting stressed though as he does not have a medical background and thus believes the OMG DEATH stories they are trying to scare me with (which I know to be bollocks, statistically speaking).

Can I just say how much I hate doctors and their 'I know best and therefore do not care about the fact this is your body and baby' attitude? This pregnancy has been abundantly stressful from square one (and you all know how that feels) and I was at least calm about the birth but now I am stressed about that too and am starting to feel very depressed about all of it and cannot look forward to the baby arriving - which is depressing me further.

Womble glad you are finally in your new abode.

Big hoorah for all those who have started or about to start mat leave - it's such a relief when that happens. Also big hoorah for successful scans :)

harassedandherbug · 29/07/2011 09:36

Oh owl that sounds like a nightmare! How over due are you now? The thing is, stressing is not going to encourage your body into labour. Have you thought about acupuncture or cranio sacral? Both good for getting started. Have you had a sweep?

Bp could just be a blip, are they monitoring you? I find the monitoring v stressful after bp probs with dd, and now have a fantastic case of white coat syndrome.

mamapower · 29/07/2011 10:16

Thought for the day... You really know you are working too hard when you have to come on here to check the stat's to see how pregnant you are!!!

Happy Days!!! waves to all and starts thinking, so less than 9 weeks 'till D day.... arrggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Minnie74 · 29/07/2011 11:10

Oh dear am stressing today Sad Last night I had some bleeding when I went to the loo and it's still there this morning, plus weird pains in stomach. DP not worried as the scan yesterday was all fine. I, however, am crapping myself. Do you think I should ring the midwife - I know mine doesn't work today. Or should I wait and see what happens? Any thoughts anyone?

katherine2008 · 29/07/2011 11:11

I keep losing you all, so just bookmarking the page. Hope everyone is ok today and lucky lucky you pink. I'm so jealous - I work for myself and think I will be going on maternity leave on D-Day. Oh for a proper job..!

Thinking of owl - you know your body so do what feels right x

katherine2008 · 29/07/2011 11:12

Hi Minnie crossed posts - call your mw. Someone else will be able to help, surely? It'll be nothing, but best to check.

CollieandPup · 29/07/2011 11:20

minnie how much blood? Red or brown? I think after your good scan yesterday all is probably fine but I'd ring your mw or if you can't see her try and see your gp. I'd want the reassurance.

But more than likely all is fine, so try not to worry and focus on the little healthy bean you saw yesterday.

Let us know how it goes.

Will post properly later and catch up

owlbooty · 29/07/2011 11:40

Minnie you poor thing - do call MW. It is most probably nothing but as Collie says always a good idea to get some reassurance. They may well give you another scan just to set your mind at rest.

harassed am 39 weeks so not overdue yet! Acupuncture sounds like a plan though, I know people that's worked for (and it's worked for me in the past with back pain). I might investigate. I did try to persuade the MW to do a sweep but she can't until I hit 40 weeks. Bugger and damn. I wonder if I can sweep myself Grin

Probably best not given that last time I tried to locate my cervix I couldn't find the fecker. Also cannot reach around hoooge bump anyway.

harassedandherbug · 29/07/2011 14:56

owl I went 10 days od with dd and can recommend aquanatal classes. I'm sure that's what got me going! Failing that, go and bounce round the swimming pool Grin.

tiggersreturn · 29/07/2011 15:34

Minnie - call the mw and get checked out. Not to worry you but bleeding after 20 weeks is more likely to indicate placenta issues than mc and should be checked out either way (was it prompted by strenuous exercise?)

OP posts:
tiggersreturn · 29/07/2011 15:34

And to add - those sort of issues can be sorted by bedrest so definitely not the end fo the road.

OP posts:
cep · 29/07/2011 16:14

afternoon ladies. yay to all those starting mat leave.

owl i hope it all gets sorted soon so you can have the birth you want.

minnie how you doing?

Minnie74 · 29/07/2011 17:10

Hi again

I rang the midwife and got passed on to the assessment centre at the hospital. Ended up going in and was seen by a really lovely midwife and then lovely (and incredibly young and gorgeous Smile)doctor. They weren't overly concerned but did an internal to be sure. They said it's old blood and probably brought on by us dtd on Wed -especially as this was the first time in 4 months Blush! DP got a sympathetic look from the doc which he's enjoyed milking ever since! Grin
So basically everything seems ok -hb still fine etc and just have to keep an eye on the bleeding. Massive relief - don't know how I'm going to manage to get through the next 20 weeks stress free though! x

LivinInTheMoment · 29/07/2011 17:41

Hi Ladies, just popping in to say hello and thanks for the warm welcome :)

Also, thanks for pointing me in the direction of the freak out room. I think i'm gonna go and chill out there for a little while and hopefully will be back here on this thread in a few more weeks time. when things have progressed a bit more .

So please take me off the list, when ever its been updated next!

many thanks!

And see you all soon i hope!

nickstermum · 29/07/2011 18:07

Owl I feel your pain honey... My Bp went haywire this week plus excessive swelling, plus protein trace in urine ;( thankfully Bp came down, But still waiting on urine results. Babynix is fine tho... Not bothered about being induced really, whatever it takes.

Massive wave to all.... Not long now xx

PinkFondantFancy · 29/07/2011 18:41

Lara that story is hilarious!! What are some people like??!

Minnie so glad all is well. Doesn't bode well for me and mr Pink though-there has been no DTD since Jan Blush as soo wasn't in the mood for months and now I've got the prob that if I bleed I'll have to go to the hospital for more anti d which is a complete pain.

daisy how did your induction into yhr world of babies go?

harassed sorry you're having a hard time at the moment :( I can completely understand your mixed feelings about your friend.

owly sorry you're having a tough time. I would definitely recommend acupuncture and reflexology. I've read that the acupuncturist will refuse to work their eviction magic until 40weeks but that's not far away now.

Haha mamap you crack me up. I can certify that you are in fact quite diffed!! Grin

Hopefully see you soon livin!!

nix fingers crossed for urine coming back clear.

So I am now officially on mat leave!! Grin think I'll be celebrating with an early night tonight, knackerooned!!

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 29/07/2011 18:49

yay for mat leave pink :)

Back to the clinic for a scan tomorrow - hope the follies have been behaving themselves and growing nicely. Am completely miserable at the moment as I'm convinced it's not going to work, today would have been when I started mat leave for the twins and I don't think I'm going to be diffed by their due date.

minnie Glad it's ok :)

PinkFondantFancy · 29/07/2011 19:08

Am keeping everything crossed for your scan tomorrow dachs. With any luck you WILL be diffed again before your due date - you've got lots of ladies on here cheering your follies along.

Meant to say, lara I'd be keen for a London meet-up!

Blackkat · 29/07/2011 19:54

Minnie so relieved that all is ok, fantastic news. ((hugs))

Yay for mat leave Pink Grin Grin

Owly reflexology, acupuncture and aqua natal all sound like good ideas. You know your body best so hope you get what you want. Big hugs to you and Nix xx

dachs everything crossed for you tomorrow, really hope this cycle works out for you x

Harassed thinking of you as DD nears, it's not easy is it.

to everyone, hope you all have nice weekends

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 30/07/2011 08:24

Would also like a London meet up :)

Scan is at 10.30, so I'll update later

Daisybell1 · 30/07/2011 08:24

Huge hugs for Harrassed I'm glad you're feeling better, but YOU ARE NOT IRRATIONAL!!!! In my limited experience the bug's turning meaning that movements can completely disappear or get much less, even at 33 weeks! Hang on in there, you're doing fab Smile

Oh Owl hugs for you too As the others have said, could you try some hollisitic therapies to help bring bp down?

Mamap you are definitely working too hard!!!

Minnie I am so glad all is ok, what a relief. The farmer isn't seeing any action either Blush

Pink am very jealous of your maternity leave, I still have to do 2 days due to my useless boss needing me back in after his holidays.

Dachs everything crossed for you here brave lady.

Feeling very smug here - lovely day with friend yesterday - changed two pooey nappies, dressed and undress baby, got him rocked to sleep when he had hiccups and generally enjoyed him sleeping on me all day. Very good for the anxiety levels Grin

Waves to everyone else and leaves plate of eggy bread and bacon.
