brighteyes I'm like that, need to pee all the time but then can't or I just dribble Sad and cramps and pain Sad looks like GP tomoro for me.

You could make your own flapjack but find a healthy recipe one.

Eviepoo · 12/06/2011 18:13

Hello dumpads.

I've overdone the gardening today - ouch need a long bath now.

Littlebrighteyes I had my GD test the GTT on Friday. MW said she'd phone when results came in

Cod bed n mattress has arrived!!!!! Pity nowhere to put it yet.

littlebrighteyes · 12/06/2011 22:40

WinterLover ----yes get yourself to the doctors -its horrible feeling, and seems to go worse longer you leave it -drank about 3 bottles of water this evening and on antibotics.....can feel it easing up a bit already....

flapjack sounds good-as i think its the oaty texture im craving :)

hi -Eviepoo

yes i have read your posts-let us all know what the results are.....

WinterLover · 13/06/2011 10:56

Brighteyes im going to ring doctors at dinner for afternoon appointment, think I was up 6 times last night as apposed to my usual 3 so definately something up. Never feel emptied, i remember this feeling and Im dreading the doctors. Last time when I had glandular fever i suffered with UTIs and Kidney infections constantly and the only antibiotic that got rid of it was their 'last resort' tablet before admitting me to hospital so im a bit :( today. Fingers crossed its not that bad.

Midwives tomoro for 31w check Grin had DSD with us this weekend and she spent the whole weekend touching belly and trying to feel where babys head was, its lovely to watch. Shes also started drawing a baby in my belly on all pictures she draws of me now. She started doing it after the scan she came to so think that had a big impact on her Grin

Rootatoot · 13/06/2011 11:20

Winter Sorry you're feeling crappy. Might not be as bad as last time but you're obv doing right thing in going asap. Sooner you go, sooner you feel better I guess. Might be worth mentioning which antibiotic worked last time?

I know I've had some antibiotics which never work for me.

Very sweet about DSD. :)

I'm doing ok today though eviepoo think I've been doing too much too this weekend. Baby tends to be 'quiet' if I've been really busy, and then I get paranoid. All this being aware of patterns is important I know, but I'm paranoid on daily basis at the mo!

Good news is though that my office is now officially baby's room. I've relocated to attic/spare room/DH's office. Not as bad as I thought. Quite nice up here! DH has boarded the floor ready to get carpet down which we bought on Saturday.

Ohh and new baby wrap and grobag arrived from amazon. Chuffed to get wrap - have time to 'practice' before he gets here! :)

WinterLover · 13/06/2011 11:25

Root which wrap have you gone for?? Im on the slings board at the min looking at threads but havent a clue whats best Hmm

rooks14 · 13/06/2011 11:27

Has anyones baby dropped yet? I was convinced i've had his head under my ribs but midwife said it's must be his bum and he's in position!

scary!!!!!!!!!!! am also a bit gutted because i thought i'd know when he dropped because the books said it would be a bit more comfy and i could breathe more easily! I guess it just gets more work from here on!

Rootatoot · 13/06/2011 11:43

I've gone for the Moby Wrap. Had good reviews. I did like the look of the Kari Me too - can't remember why I went for moby over kari me now tho! I'll let you know how I get on. :)

rooks I'm rubbish at working out where my baby is lying! I think he's moved again though. Felt kicks higher up this morning but they're not as strong as they have been, but reckon it's just where he is. Need to sit down and chill for a bit so that he has a good kick to reassure me, as he just goes sleep if I'm moving about. Bit difficult today though, bit busy.

Rootatoot · 13/06/2011 11:43

winter I will say, moby wrap smells really weird! Will defo need a good wash before going near baby.

WinterLover · 13/06/2011 11:48

Thats the one ive been looking at Root my once concern is the size on my boobs.. at 36HH im not sure how comfy it will be..

Rootatoot · 13/06/2011 12:14

Well, I think with that style they all pretty much work on same principle, so not sure if a different wrap would be any better/worse. Instructions are good at first glance though reckon I might need to youtube it too, to make sure doing it right! Can't say looking at them that I could imagine boobs being a problem as such. You can put baby in breastfeeding position too which I like idea of.

I'm prob being daft but I'm quite excited about using the wrap! I think it's the first thing we've got that I've been really into. :) Just think that if baby takes to it, it will be so useful in being able to move around and do stuff!

Winter Isn't there a thread about wraps somewhere? Maybe you could ask about the boob issue there? Bound to be a few ladies of similar size with experience of these?

Good luck for this afternoon at docs. x0x

rooks Baby just kicked me in ribs then 10 mins later felt it towards my bum! Maybe mine likes punching too?! Can't figure out where he is lying at all. Confused

Ive posted on there root just waiting for some replies

Id love a wrap/sling and quite excited about them too, so your not the only one Grin

theonlyhb2 · 13/06/2011 15:13

glad you had a good birthday, Evie, and good choice on the cowmooflage (I too am going to get that!)

I swear I never empty my bladder properly, but it is to do with the baby position at that time......in the shower though, I just can't help but let it go, must be the relaxation, the water, the baby has moved, oh its bliss!

littlebrighteyes - poor you! I cannot stop eating things that are bad for me, Crunchie's are my favourite at the moment, and the chip shop lady knows me as the "pregnant girl who likes stupid amounts of salt on her chips". hope they diagnose you soon so you can carry on with the hobnobs!

Hello sargesaweyes I feel for you having to work with kids! am 31 weeks tomorrow and an office manager, and I am struggling with that! last week I had a new girl start and as there were holidays, I had to train her which meant no day off on Wednesday, and I think I did too much last week as a result of it. Cant wait to finish work yet freaking out as so much I need to sort before I do go off. Can you speak to the Head and get a teaching assistant or someone to help you out (I am sure they would if you say you don't feel as though your coping, I imagine they have to have something about that in your risk assesment?)

well, saturday I had some bleeding, carried on spotting over weekend but today is OK. I think I did too much last week, plus I was sick lots cos I was tired and my hyperemesis always is worse when tired. Baby moving LOADS, and I can never tell the position its in. it likes to move about a lot and lie right across my stomach rather than head at top or bottom.......I wont worry where it is til I get to 38 weeks, I think they worry you too much with all this "oh no its breech" at 36 weeks.

I have a definite baby bump now. i guess as I am tall and have a longer body than most then the bump doesnt get as noticed as if I was 4 inches shorter, but I am feeling bloody huge now, huge and stretched!

Off for a pelvic band fitting in a moment with the physio, oh the fun of pregnancy never ends!!!

WinterLover · 13/06/2011 15:52

eeeeekkk ante-natal classes start on Thursday Grin first one is labour and pain.

Just been looking at the local childrens centre at the activities they offer, me and baby will hopefully have plenty to do.

WinterLover · 14/06/2011 11:22

Midwife appointment went well, she says I have a happy big baby Shock my scan from 28 weeks shows dates as 1w4d in front of what I am now although our trust dont alter your EDD unless its more than 2w difference!! So on size of baby im showing as 33 weeks now!!

I dont have a UTI thank god, she thinks its just bladder tubes stretching etc so told to drink plenty of water.

Was told they have had cuts at the hospital so there are 2 midwives to 31 beds on the maternity ward now!! So she told me to buzz them if im having trouble BFing as they will take ages to get round to you!! Will definately be making an appearance at the BFing group before im due to get help/advice from them.

Apparently im back there in 2 weeks for my 36 week check and birth plan appointment... going to ring and check that as il only be 33 weeks!

Oh and I may have to have another scan later on as no1 can figure out how baby is laying. She thinks breech still as it was in my last scan but the placenta is making it difficult for them to feel for baby at the min.

Anyways enough about me, hows everyone doing?

Eviepoo · 14/06/2011 16:59

rooks this one has been head down since 20 week scan. At 28W appointment MW said baby had head at pelvis (not engaged yet) but right there in place. My bump does seem kinda low down.

root I know when I have overdone it ? my hips and knees ache and after 30 minutes on the couch I can?t get up again ? or maybe I am just getting old J

theonlyhb I am sooo glad you haven?t had further bleeding. Which Cowmooflage one you getting? I pick mine up this weekend :)

At 5foot4 and a half (yes the half is important, especially when my DD who is 12 in Oct is 5foot3 already!!!) I have a sizable bump, I have now gained a total of 24lbs (nearly typed 234lbs there ? I could just imagine all your eyes popping out at that typo) MW says it?s fine sized everyone else tells me I am massive. I am defo all bump though same as I was with DD.
DD was 53cm long when born and always been long and lean (ok so her biological dad was 6?4? and his sister is 5?11?? so hardly surprising)
But as she is blond (as is me and DH) and my DH is tall (6?) everyone just assumes she is his ? which she is in every other way J
Thus I am expecting this DC to be another blond long one J

This morning I must have got kicked in the stomach, I suddenly felt sick and my breakie came up very violently. Typical that it had to be the day I needed to be in the office early, by the time I cleaned up and got change I left 15 minutes after planned and made it into by the skin of my teeth.

My job ? thankfully is starting to wind down a bit ? I don?t have any offsite audits to do and I don?t need to host any clients either J. I have 3 lots of training materials I need to finish writing though on top of my everyday tasks, so I am still busy, but it is nice to be busy instead of manic. I?ve been here 6 years and as the senior in the team, I haven?t not been manic in years! We have a Manager and a Director and the Manager returned from her mat leave in March ? when she was off I was in hyper manic mode and now I am winding down I think she is starting to get a taste of what it was like for me when she was off J Love her to bits though ? as the longest two serving members of the team we?ve seen/been though a lot together.

Winter ? we have our third class this Wednesday ? we have done - normal labour, interventions and pain relief. This one tomorrow is feeding. So you are quite big huh ? maybe you may see your LO soon . 

Sargesaweyes - hello! Glad MW is keeping an eye on you!

No news from MW re the glucose test ? dunno if that is good or bad. I will see her at my class tomorrow so will ask then

Anyway ? best get my butt in the car and get home ? sooo tired now

WinterLover · 14/06/2011 17:24

hi Evie well baby is big but bump is measuring 31cm and im 30+4 today so looks wise im not big at all. Ive not put weight on anywhere other than my bump (which im pleased about as i get quite depressed about my weight pre pregnancy and was dreading 'getting fat' Im hoping its a little early as it means my dad gets to see his 1st grand child, he flys back to work 6 days after im officially due :(

yay for being signed off, proper weight off yr mind!

I decided on a theme rather than a colour scheme. We dont know what we havin but decided on penguin/water theme (i have lots of penguin toys and a lovely silver sea horse mirror Thats been packed away for too long). We then got some furniture which has teddy bear sailors on and also underwater things too. It would prob suit a boy best but then i would never have a totally girl room....furniture to be delivered and assembled next month plus pram delivery then. Will all seem very real!

I think weight gain is bollocks. Been about 10&half for years, def was in Nov yet a month later when weighed at my Dr appt confirming pregnancy i was just over 9&half. Next week my hyperemesis started so hardly ate anything for months. At my 28Wk scan i weighed about 11stone but i have no idea how i have managed to gain that much weight and it not really show and when i eat so much less than i used to.

Oooo ramble. Day off and wide awake! Not impressed. Also SPD is making me want to cry and dream of being able to take nurofen plus.

WinterLover · 15/06/2011 08:02

Hi Sargesaweyes My weight gain was very slow up until 3rd tri and then it shot up. Ive put on 13kg I think, but its all baby and bump oh and boobs Grin. Ive not added weight anywhere else, if anything ive lost waight on my shoulders/arms/neck. Ive eaten fairly healthy (she says whilst eating the kids cholcolate spread). Honestly i think it all depends on the person, im trying not to stress about it but its hard.

I think thats the one reason why ive not put loads of weight on, when I was working before it was a boring job, only me in the office so I ate out of bordom, but becuase ive not been at work Ive had things to do at home to keep me busy so only really eat when im acutally hungry.

rooks14 · 16/06/2011 11:51

How's everyone getting on Grin. It's starting to get close but I still feel a bit like it's never going to happen!

I read that from this point the movements start to get less as he runs out of room, but I am honestly getting kicked to bits!!!!
