winterlover My 28w appoint is next Tues, I too need the anti-D such a lovely jab as I recall Hmm
I'm looking forward to MW figuring out where and in which position dragon is in (I for the life of me can't tell - I do have an anteria placenta though), anyhoo I thought all babies were a bit awkward in the womb, dragon did not want to be photoed at the 20w scan and a coupld of weeks ago when at the consultant appointment, dragon moved everytime MW tried to count the heartrate. You'll have to tell us about your scan
theonlyhb as you can tell by the bumps name nope we don't know sex either!!
rootatoot I don't think you are being unreasonable, as a heavily pg woman why should you NOT just waddle sorry (maybe thats just me) walk up to the end of your street

Oh just remembered something I thought was odd - I weighed this morning and I'm weighing exactly as I did 3 weeks ago - not that I am too worried, I've gained 20lbs which is okay - but I could have done with losing 20lbs before pg so if I don't put too much on maybe the feeding will help me shift the extra (did with the DD - I dropped 2 dress sizes in 5 months feeding her)

Dunno about you all but I am shattered, so time to try get some sleep (cue numb fingers and needing a pee in about 50 minutes)

WinterLover · 24/05/2011 22:32

Eviepoo I have an anteria placenta too, apparently they can't do an EVC to turn the baby if you have one.

rooks14 · 25/05/2011 01:11

moodykat ive just reached 30 weeks, so 10 more! aghhhh exciting :D

theonlyhb2 · 25/05/2011 08:15

winterlover, my mum bought it for us as a baby present. I was gonna see about getting one second hand on ebay but seems mum is more of a snob than we think :)

doing study at hospital so we get extra scans at 28 and 34 weeks. We get so many free pics so deffo worth it. I dont fancy the 4d scan. They scare me (and would prefer to spend the money on a new handbag ha ha). I am still in shock that i spent over 700 quid on Saturday and nothing for myself

WinterLover · 25/05/2011 08:24

theonlyhb2 Awww your mum sounds lovely, my mum bought ours too but the Graco Stearling TS, id have loved a proper pram but they are all just so heavy. Ive bought quite a few bits off ebay, best buy was a wooden rocking crib for our room, new mattress and a clean and its as good as new Grin

Rootatoot · 25/05/2011 09:02

Morning all.

winterlover Speaking of matresses, just started having a look. Is it better to get a sprung one rather than foam? MIL was asking what we needed and this would be a good thing for her to help us with. Sooo many to choose from, as with everything.

WinterLover · 25/05/2011 11:39

Ive got vented foam ones, DSD had the same type of mattress when she was born and was ok with them.

I found the mattresses a mind field but everywhere I looked, foam seemed to be ok :)

Eviepoo · 25/05/2011 12:24

BTW ladies - Babies R Us have a sprung codbed mattress on half price at the moment...thats the one I'm getting.

Half price deals are always good

Eviepoo · 25/05/2011 12:25

Oh I am so hungry!!! Just wolfed a sub roll with ham, coleslaw and tomatoes and a can of coke, not the best lunch but I needed fed like NOW. Do any of you get that 'I need to eat now' urge? then later feel 'urg food no thanks'?

theonlyhb2 · 25/05/2011 14:27

yes deffo Evie. I wake up sometimes having to eat straight away or it makes me feel sick i am so hungry. Its a nice change from Oh no i am gonna be sick so i quite enjoy it ha ha. Also addicted to Dr pepper. Never drink soft drinks normally, Cant get enough now.

WinterLover · 25/05/2011 14:36

theonlyhb2 Im addicted to Dr Pepper and haribo Grin i have been since day 1

Eviepoo · 26/05/2011 18:04

I'm looking up the nutrition in green beans - craving them like mad today

theonlyhb2 · 26/05/2011 19:28

i am addicted to wagon wheels. oh, and caramel covered custard filled donuts. tomorrow night is going to consist of Tesco's to buy food/choc fountain stuff/cakes for a friends baby shower (just an excuse to eat cake and whack a pinata with a baseball bat) then McDonald's followed by possibly another Tesco as they sell Krispy Kreme......

anyone finding work even more of an issue? baby brain? made worse by can't sleep wont sleep? Grrrrr

alicedee · 26/05/2011 20:21

First time I noticed this post. 11 weeks to go and bored of being preg already. Second little one and lacking the novelty value. Bumpkin keeps sticking toes into my naval, while punching bladder. Anyone else got a baby in a strange position? (sorry haven't read whole thread, I'm sure I'm repeating)
Oh, please let this one not be posterior.............

WinterLover · 26/05/2011 20:46

alicedee me me me me me baby seems to be either transverse or breech.. I have a scan for another reason on Tuesday but they are going to make sure there isnt a reason why baby wont shift from those 2 positions..

Eviepoo · 26/05/2011 20:48

Hello alicedee!

Yes thenlyhb work is defo an issue due to the can't sleep won't sleep....went to bed at 8.30 last night ...awake 7 times..up at with a headache feeling like I hadn't even gone to bed.

alicedee · 26/05/2011 20:59

thanks for listening.....good luck with that scan winterlover. there's still a while for you LO to change positions. Mine is head down but all arms and legs forward and no matter what excercises I do to shift the little monkey, it(obviously don't know gender!) just goes back. First baby was posterior too and made for a hellish labour, so really want things to be different this time!
Eviepoo, do you wake and think lots? Or is it just physical stuff keeping you awake?

Eviepoo · 26/05/2011 21:18

Mostly physical stuff....numb hands, leg cramps and needing a pee. But I'm also having crazy dreams...I remember things to do at 4am too

alicedee · 26/05/2011 21:34

Yeah, me too! cramps, dreams and to-do lists that grow irrationally each night. Also a 4 year old with persistant tickly cough.....
oh, woe....
I'm so excitited about meeting the next little one though.

theonlyhb2 · 26/05/2011 21:40

hot feet! Then restless legs. Stuck my feet in a bath of cold water last night and it did help for a bit. I am fine for first 3 hrs then after that is hit or miss.

My scan yesterday showed baby head up near ribs with arms and legs over head. It moves about loads so i wouldnt have thought they worry about positioning yet? I'm not even looking very big.

I am also addicted to salty things. Just polished off a massive bit of pork crackling. Lovely.

Eviepoo · 26/05/2011 21:45

I get hot feet too! Even when not pg...it's soooo annoying
I want crackling now

WinterLover · 27/05/2011 09:12

Morning ladies, slightly hyper today - finally reached 28weeks so third and final trimester. Got an extra hour in bed as I let the doggy out at 3am when I needed food which meant i could stay in bed longer this morning Grin AND Its 4D scan time tomoro Grin

Rootatoot · 27/05/2011 09:17

Hey WinterLover....Me too! 28 weeks today. :)

4d scan? Exciting! We're not having one but hear they're amazing.
