I'm due on the 3rd! Anyone else around then? :)

I've got my newly bought maxi dress on today. Looks like I got it in nick of time as it looks like it's going to be boiling today.

What's the problem with the letting agents knowing you're pregnant WinterLover ? I know they usually have no pets policy but they can't have a no babies one!

I'm up at the hospital later for BP monitoring. Hoping it has come down. I've been putting feet up etc. We'll see I guess.

Ukulele80 · 03/06/2011 10:32

I am due on the 21st, also experiencing very itchy skin, but main thing is feeling irrationally exhausted all the time, have just found out tho that I am anaemic and have been for some time which would explain a lot of the tiredness, actually off sick today because so wiped out. anyone else anaemic here? I also have a very large fibroid so interested to hear if anyone else has similar.

WinterLover · 03/06/2011 12:07

In my head If they thought I was pregnant they'd go funny over credit checks I think. I know we can afford the rent and bills but like with most mortgages their systems tell them we need 40% disposable income after rent!! We only just scrapped through last year with me working and getting £234 a week... it will be dropping to £129 per week soon. Maybe its just me fretting over nothing, but didnt want to risk it. Will let them know once baby is born as any child has to be named on the contacts Hmm

CJ2010 · 03/06/2011 15:14

Hi all - im expecting a boy on 17th Aug. Hope everyone is doing well. This will be my second DC.

oinkyoink · 03/06/2011 17:41

Hello all, I'm due 13 august! Hope you're all well. Just wanted to know how organised everyone is as I don't feel I am at all. What has everyone bought so far?? :)

WinterLover · 03/06/2011 17:46

hi oinkyoink

Ive got -
Cot
Crib
Travel Cot
Pram/Pushchair
Car Seat
Selection of babygrows

and thats about it so far Hmm

theonlyhb2 · 03/06/2011 20:15

i told my agents and they didnt seem to care or mention about adding anything to the contract. i thought they might panic cos they know its mainly my wage paying for the house but they dont.

I have:
All nursery furniture
Pram/Sleepover set
Breast pump, bottles, steriliser
Rocking chair
a few clothes

I dont think you need more than you have WL!

I loved the sun today! i normally tan so quick and havent seemed to since pregnant (typical) but I sat in the pub garden for a few hours tonight and it was lovely also got a bit of a tan. I have been sat in the office and then my car with the air con on full though (I think thats cheating)

WinterLover · 03/06/2011 20:32

theonlyhb2 We had to put DSD on the lease even though shes 5 and only here at weekends and in holidays. To be honest im blaming hormones as I think ive been fretting over it too much and have made it a bigger deal than what it really is...

Just need to get breast pump etc oh and sort out cot sheets... then other than some 'nice to have' things than my mum and grandmas when we go shopping as they are desperate to get some baby items Grin

Im finally starting to get excited over the baby now Grin

theonlyhb2 · 03/06/2011 21:47

ha ha i get the fretting, i do it about everything else :) i too am finally getting excited yet super scared. Seems to have come round too quick

WinterLover · 04/06/2011 07:58

ahhh at least im not the only one!! I know its come round so fast... 11 weeks left for mee Grin

theonlyhb2 · 04/06/2011 08:54

my cousin had her baby 3 weeks early yesterday, so that means I could be due in 7 weeks. I am freaking out I dont have a suitable hospital bag and think I may have to go and buy one today and get it packed. It also doesn't help I know someone who gave birth at 30 weeks, so I have (counts) 2 days left til that (goes to find a paper bag to breathe into)

WinterLover · 04/06/2011 09:00

I am 'hopefully' going to have everything ready for 35 weeks. Just need DP to pull his thumb out and get babys room papered... got a right bollocking from him, I was sick of seeing plaster on the walls that needed a quick coat of paint on it before it gets papered, so I did it myself.. once thats papered I can paint it (or get mum over to help me) and then I can put everything out so I know what Ive got etc..

Hmmmm hospital bag.. theres a thought as to what I can do next week while DPs at work..

theonlyhb2 · 04/06/2011 09:03

all my nursery furniture arrives on 11th July and they assembling for me (yay!) I should chase up my pram delivery.

its hard not to do something when you see it though isnt it! Do you find you start then think oh bugger why am I doing this I am now knackered and need a chocolate bar?

Eviepoo · 04/06/2011 09:44

Hi Ladies, my sister had her baby 2 weeks early 2 days ago I have a new nephew!! :o I'm hoping thats a sign that second ones come a wee bit early in our family and I don't have a full 11 weeks to go.
I do miss my sis and her son (now sons) - they live in Australia, times like this remind me how far away they are.

Rootatoot · 04/06/2011 10:37

Ohhh you're scaring me with this talk of early babies. My MIL has booked herself solid with other stuff right up until July so, as we haven't seen her really since Feb, she's coming with her husband (who has alzeihmers) when I'm 37 weeks! I hadn't quite twigged how far along I'd be that weekend and I want to put her off now but it might cause 'issues'. :(

theonlyhb2 · 04/06/2011 13:30

Let her come and clean your house ;)

Rootatoot · 05/06/2011 11:06

LOL! theonlyhb2 My MIL isn't that kind of Mum. She doesn't generally help when she comes to us. On top of this her DH is sadly now suffering with alzheimers and I'm constantly stressing about kettle being boiled dry, doors left open to the road with my little dog about etc etc. It WON'T be relaxing. Hmm

Eviepoo · 05/06/2011 21:25

That's a pity rootatoot. My mil is so cool. She is visiting later this week. She will help out so much. Pity she lives so far away really.

Rootatoot · 05/06/2011 21:52

eviepoo can we swap? ;) I am going to try and see if they can squeeze in a visit before then I think. I just don't feel happy having them come when I'm going to be at that stage. Ohhhh why do I get myself backed into a corner all the time!?!

Eviepoo · 06/06/2011 12:56

Good plan see if you can re-arrange.

Well I spoke to the surgery today - My blood results are in.

Iron is low - so I have to get iron tablets, hopefully I will feel less tired.

Glucose is abnormal too - I have to go for a glucose tolerance test on Friday, quite nervous about the posibility of gestational diabetes (just seems like one more thing pled on top now) but it would actually explain some of my symptoms. I am still hoping I am not diabetic. I am so worried about the effects on baby dragon etc.

Oh why oh why is my body being so crap?

WinterLover · 06/06/2011 18:34

oh no eviepoo least you know why you've been so tired.

had a nice relaxing weekend this weekend. Went to my parents (they only live 20min away) but was bliss as mum kept DSD amused and busy, DP helped my dad out and I chilled out in the field in the sun Grin

Getting fed up with baby being breech/transverse tho, nothing shifts it now :(

Rootatoot · 06/06/2011 22:27

eviepoo If you take iron tablets, make sure you have LOTS of fruit and water as they can bung you up iIYKWIM. You'll feel better for getting iron sorted out I'm sure.

WinterLover When I saw MW the other day, I asked about baby's position and she said it was totally irrelevant as they move all the time at this stage. I'm due same as you I think, so quite curious about your baby being breech right now. Must have lots of time to move still surely? I don't think I even know if my LO is breech/transverse or not. Wasn't keen on MW the other day, as she was v dismissive of anything I asked her.

WinterLover · 07/06/2011 07:23

Root yeah think your due same day Grin They're not usually bothered, but this one refuses to go head down, I know where the head is as I have a hard lump about 2 inches left of my belly button. Im not too fussed about the position for birth as I know they can/will move its more the pain it causes when it sits like that at the min.

WinterLover · 07/06/2011 07:33

I love it when a very old thread is bumped, looks like so of the pain could be due to placenta positioning too... thats reassuring :)

Rootatoot · 07/06/2011 08:12

winter Ouch, see what you mean. I think mine is a wriggler - get random stabs of pain depending on what he's kicking! I have no idea what position my placenta is in either. I think I'm just plodding through this pg in blissful ignorance!
