I've seen a thread for June, July and September. But none for the future leo babies!
I'm due on the 3rd! Anyone else around then? :)

Hello...lovely bumps ladies :) I MUST get some photos of mine before I pop. DH has sneaked a couple but I look bluddy terrible on them.Grin

I'm really bored with worrying now. I've had elephant feet all day and keep checking nothing else is swelling up in case its Pre eclampsia.

Have to say winter, i hadn't seen your pictures before....your scan pics are amazing. Your LO is sooo cute! :)

evieThink I'm beyond worrying about having steady income. It's not what we'd have chosen, but needs must at the moment. Hopefully DH will get something steadier at some point but he's at a bit of a cross roads career wise, so it's going to be a while of grafting towards something i think. I'm just taking the view that we've muddled through for last year or more now and we're still doing 'ok'. I have my little lecturing job which I'm hoping I can go back to and build into something more secure. Love it too which helps! So we'll just take things as they come. I'm really not a laid back person. Always been a planner and organiser and worrier but I've had to learn to adapt! :)

Seeing consultant tomorrow. Hoping she'll be happy with me and baby for now and won't say 'baby out!' I'd really like to make another week or two along.

WinterLover · 13/07/2011 07:56

Thanks Root the 4D scan was amazing DSD loved it too. Was great value for money as the Doctor just kept printing pictures out for DSD Grin we should have only had 2 B&W and 2 colour!!

I suppose its even more of a worry for you with your BP being high. I worry when my feet go to an abnormal size but its apparently normal.. doesnt make it comfy tho lol

Rootatoot · 13/07/2011 17:35

Well today went well. Doppler scan showed blood flow was ok. BP still high but no worse. Consultant had us in and out in a couple of minutes. Just said will review next week after another growth scan.

Think my elephant feet from yesterday were just 'normal' pregnancy fun. My widgey pillow came today though which is helping prop me up nicely. I may disappear under cushion mountain soon though! I feel so weird doing nothing most days. I get to 3pm and that's it. HAVE to sleep. Still, if that's what the tablets are doing, then I have to just go with it.

How is everyone else today?

WinterLover · 13/07/2011 20:32

root that's good news Grin

I'm getting BH more, well I think that's what it is.... Either way I'm off shopping first thing to get final bits for hospital bag then it's done!

I'm starting to get scared about labour then looking after a newborn Hmm

littlebrighteyes · 13/07/2011 21:37

hi

had midwife appointment today-34 weeks-and little one is breech at present and has 2 weeks to turn........if she hasnt at 36 week -they try to move her-which i dont like the sound of.....and if no joy book u in for c section....

this being 4th baby =not had c section before so now feeling worried and anxious as all i know is takes longer time to recover and heal and to be able to get about-which will put hubby under alot pressure with our kids already and my oap of a dad.......i really dont think she has room to turn to be honest ......its a tight fit as it is...............so shall have to see......feely really stressy and hormonal today -been in tears a few times over one thing and another......x

Rootatoot · 13/07/2011 22:36

oh brighteyes I'm sure baby still has time to turn. I'm sure you know all the stuff about crawling around on hands and knees and not sitting on comfy chairs too much, which might be worth a go?(I've just been reading my birth books as I'm not an experienced mum like you - just a newbie - so sorry if I'm mentioning stuff you know)

From what I know from friends, ELCS can suprise you in terms of recovery. I'm sure either someone I know or on here perhaps, told me that they were driving after a couple of weeks. You just have to see how you go. Might not even come to that yet.

You sound to me like it's just been a bit much to take in today and you sound in need of a good nights sleep. Hope it all seems a bit better in the morning. xox

Rootatoot · 13/07/2011 22:42

winter enjoy your shopping trip! I've been very busy online shopping as I can't get out and about really at the moment. Don't trust myself to drive on these pills, even if i have the energy (which I don't!) I got a great cot top changer today from mothercare (gift from friend). Hoping it will save me some backache when the little fella makes an appearance.

Bit gutted that my new little freezer arrived on monday & switched it on today for first time and it's not working! Got to send it back. Was awful actually - just gave off loads of horrid fumes and didn't cool anything. Really wanted to get it all working so I can start freezing some meals ready. Hope it doesn't take another week to sort out. HATE sending stuff back.

theonlyhb2 · 13/07/2011 23:00

dont worry brighteyes, my friend was the same and crawled about on all 4's and we went swimming (well. Float fun. It was great being on yr front and lyin on yr back. No actual real swimming was done). She was smaller than last time and Didnt think there was enough room to move but he did and he also popped out bigger than her first :) they do panic. Mum said i Didnt turn til last minute they had been preparing for breech birth.

Thats good news root! For once in the past 8 months I'm not tired. I been working lots and doing stuff at weekends and in evenings. Back killing me but you can't have it all :)

winter, i am not sure if i getting BH or if i eaten too much or baby moving funny and hurting. I guess you must know if you get them so perhaps i not.....

Hope everyone good x

WinterLover · 14/07/2011 06:45

Brighteyes I was the same, baby has been breech up untill 34 weeks, had an appiointment at 33 weeks and was told the same as you, except they can turn mine as I have an Anterior placenta.

Im hoping LO says where they are now as I do believe its turned, but will find out on Wednesday, so I can sympathise with you.

Re BH i honestly dont know whether thats what im getting, but going from what midwife said, if you get cramps but they disappear if you change positions/have a bath etc then thats probably them.

They only position thats comfy at the moment is laid on my right, if i stand or sit I get cramps :(

Eviepoo · 14/07/2011 18:57

Hey ladies,

I am getting BH - big time, also in the past 2 days my pelvis is hurting, especially on an evening, it's just above my foof, below my bump kind of like a big pressure. Is this a sign dragon has moved down and engaged? Has been head down since 20w.
Seeing MW next Fri - will be 35+5 so wonder how engaged head will be by then. Then I will be seen at 36+1 at diabetes clinic then at 37+1, 38+1, 39+1 etc by them until dragon here and diabetes MW said that I am unlikely to be left to go over. So maybe I'll get induced at 40w.....might not make it to then if the feelings of body prep are anything to go by.

This might be TMI - but I am curious what you think, in the last couple of days I have been getting way more discharge, it's not stinky, it's quite yellowy in colour but has a slight greeny or orangy pinky tinge to it sometimes...what does this mean? I've had way more than normall all way through PG - but amount is way more again now.

Is the discharge, pelvis pain a sign of labour prep? - or my other worry was maybe I should have a urine check...but then I had one on Monday and it was fine......should I just call my MW and ask?

Also TMI alert - but I am sweating overtime! this is making me so itchy. I'm taking 2 tepid showers a day to wash the sweat off so I am not as itchy, but I am getting irritated rashes in those places where sweat gathers

Been back at work 3 days - the first two were ok, but I am knackered today. 10 More days to go :)

theonlyhb2 · 15/07/2011 08:54

ah Evie the joys of discharge and sweat! Me too! I keep having to change my knickers plus Sometimes the baby squashes my bladder and i leak a bit with out even realising. Horrible!

My last day at work. Excited. Scared. Sad. Argh!

Rootatoot · 15/07/2011 17:30

Hello all

Well, BP actually came down a bit today. Good news after last week's drama. Happy to be cooking LO bit more. :)

theonlyhb2 how you feeling now you're finished work? it's a funny feeling. I finished pretty early and sort of fizzled out as I lecture as well as my own freelance, but I did feel quite sad a couple weeks short of my last lesson. Still won't be long and we'll be back there juggling child care and all new challenges, so make most of it i guess!

I feel a right wuss to be honest. These tablets have rendered me incapable of anything much but 'resting' doesn't come naturally to me. I feel quite guilty which is daft but I hate sitting about when i know how hard DH is working and other women slog it out much later. I know it's doc's orders but still feel a fraud. Managed ironing and cleaning floors yesterday but was a major effort!

brighteyes how you feeling today? You been crawling about on all fours? hope baby moves for you soon.

evie Haven't had same thing but I'd call your MW for a check if anything out of ordinary. No harm done for just asking. I had a weird boob day on sunday. Asked MW on Monday and she didn't think it was daft question at all.

What's everyone doing this weekend? I have antenatal class on birth/labour tomorrow. other than that...boring rest and sleeping I guess!

littlebrighteyes · 15/07/2011 20:58

hi

im ok-hahha i have been on all fours.......dont think anything changed yet-as keep feelin leg kicks in my lady bits-like a sharp knife ....ewwwww

im getting my head round i may have c section so feel a bit more prepared -its just the after bit im worried about.....shall have to wait and see.........also if they do say c section -i presume it will be done earler than my due date which is aug 24th.......so she may be here sooner than i thought xxx

theonlyhb2 · 15/07/2011 22:54

root, it is so weird! Like i cleared out all old emails today (8000!) and none in my inbox. Doesnt seem right i am not thinking what i need to do next week at work. I know how you feel when you see other pregnant people getting on with it. I was so ill with HG that its so weird i feel better than ever now. Pram delivery Monday. Scan Wednesday. Lots of vouchers to spend and presents to put away from work. I shall keep amused :)

Rootatoot · 16/07/2011 22:18

theonly Enjoy your time 'off'! Sounds lovely to do some baby shopping and exciting getting pram. What did you go for? We got an outnabout nipper (lovely and light, though I haven't actually collapsed it properly as yet Confused Need more practice when haven't got massive bump in the way!)

Went to antenatal class today. The only one I'll be going to and, after being a bit concerned earlier in pregnancy that we only get 1 session etc, I was a bit non plussed with it. There wasn't any structure and it was really just a 2 hour Q&A session. Don't get me wrong, the MW was v nice and helpful but it didn't tell me anything much I hadn't read. Also, the MW kept saying the session was focussed on a 'normal' labour. 3 of us there were more complicated, one definate ELCS, one early induction at 38 weeks booked and me, hanging in the balance not knowing if I'll be induced early or end up with CS or not.( Guess I'll find out on Wednesday perhaps! ) It wasn't a waste of time but I wouldn't have missed much if I didn't go. DH was very very bored after an hour, though I'm glad he came too as there was some stuff he wouldn't have read about by himself or probably listened to me! Poor blokes were cringing when she was talking about mucus plugs and shows. Grin

Eviepoo · 16/07/2011 22:34

theonlyhb I am Envy you are now finished up...I have 9 more days to go. Nice that you got gifts and vouchers - enjoy shopping

it seems I am following my cycle of a few good days then a really crappy one, I think I knacker myself out.

DH started painting the nursery today - woohoo

root the best bit about the classes was watching the blokes faces :) and I'm glad I'm not the only one sweating like crazy

theonlyhb2 · 17/07/2011 09:58

I went for the Silver Cross Sleepover with linear base and in Navy. I have no idea if it will fit in my car! But it came with a car seat too and was the only one I liked in any way. Mum bought it for us :)

I thought I was going shopping with my bestest yesterday and instead had a surprise baby shower. More presents! SO much cake. I am very spoilt. off to habitat sale in a minute :)

hope everyone is having a good weekend!

oh, and I think I got BH last night? Left a party cos my bump was so solid, I couldnt get comfy however i sat or stood, back ached, had to come home and lie down (took heartburn tablet and co-codamal too) and then felt a bit better. I was nearly in tears i was so uncomfy. but it was constant, not like contractions really? maybe I ate too much?!

Eviepoo · 17/07/2011 12:50

...is having cheese cravings today...

littlebrighteyes · 17/07/2011 13:57

woke up craving roasts spuds and gravy.......had jam on toast instead -then felt like i was going to faint/dizzy -must be blood pressure,so went back bed -husband dropped other dc at his stepmums for a while so i can rest up a bit............everytme i sit in sitting position on sofa -little one starts up booting me real bad and twisting away-i find i can no longer sit like this for long and can not have my legs togther much too--how glam...lol......

Rootatoot · 17/07/2011 15:51

theonly silver cross will be v nice :)

Well I'm having a crap day. DH is doing my head in. He was up till all hours (as usual) working. So he didn't wake up until possibly 11 am. I got woken up at 7am by our dog barking because of next door's kids creating world war 3 next door. Typical sunday morning. I know the walls are too thin, but it drives me nuts. The older kid's room is next to ours and it's just a constant thundering banging for hours on end, interspersed with crying from the little one. So I had to get up, then felt crap and went back to bed.

So my plan to finally grab an hour or two with DH to go through his bluddy accounts has gone out of the window. His mother rang for an hour and now because he has wasted all day, he's back on the computer working and being short with me. I could scream. He's back at work tomorrow. So if on Wednesday they say that I have to be induced, then that's it. Accounts won't get done. Don't know how this will get sorted. They HAVE to be done before baby arrives & it's not going to happen. I've done as much as I can on my own but i have to ask DH now as I can't work it out now.

Everything I need from him this weekend, I feel like I have to pick my moment and plead for. Poor dog not been walked again, which is upsetting me. I have managed to work and do all housework for years. It's really getting to me that DH is going to be utterly shit when baby arrives.

Sorry, just needed to rant. Having a little cry. :(

theonlyhb2 · 17/07/2011 20:00

Oh dear root :( what you need is a labour scare. Friend had one and few days later husband had bought and assembled new furniture and finished off home office :)

i think we worry about these things more than men. Yr accounts will get done. Makes more sense to us to do asap but men rolls eyes

i really hope we qualify for housing benefit. My work are doing me a letter confirming monthly pay over next 6 months. OH not working proper job at mo. He was signed off but government decided when we moved in together officially in march that i earn enough to support both of us. Maybe very short term and if i didn't have massive credit cards to pay off. But the plan always was for us both to live off my salary for a few months and both be as involved for baby. Shame we then couldn't save money as planned. Oh well. I am a great believer in "it will all be ok in the end" if only people would give us money instead of baby stuff ha ha

theonlyhb2 · 18/07/2011 09:24

oh i am bored already not working!

littlebrighteyes, I hve been suffering by not being able to sit down either, spesh in the evening, baby seems to move further up and up my ribs!

and am I getting BH? the past 2 evenings I have been SO uncomfortable, almost like cramp, but it doesn't come and go, just gets steadily worse, so then I think it cos baby position?

WinterLover · 18/07/2011 15:06

theonly Im like you. not sure if they are BH or not Hmm

I get back ache and period type cramps that are more constant that coming and going. Baby goes quiet too... I see the midwife on Wed for my birthplan so im going to quiz her then.

Had a lovely weekend for my little brothers 23rd birthday, had a BBQ yesterday even though it pissed it down all doy. Luckily parents live on a farm so had the BBQ in a barn Grin

Hows everyone feeling? Getting fed up yet?

Eviepoo · 18/07/2011 18:15

Hi guys, I had a hot shaky flush today at work, first aid insisted I ring and go get checked at mat unit, baby went mental and kicked me like crazy when monitor went on...dragon doesn't like being prodded.

6.15pm and I am ready to sleep now......

I have a hard bump often and get periody type pains often, I too will quiz my MW on Friday.

theonlyhb2 · 18/07/2011 21:21

and I too shall quiz my MW on Friday! ha ha ha.

can't believe I am 36 weeks tomorrow! I think cos I felt so shit for so long at the beginning with HG, that even though I am uncomfortable and have lots of other ailments, its nowhere near as bad as the first 5 months. But I am bloody tired after walking around shops today.

Got the silver cross delivered today, set up the moses basket part and gonna get OH to practise car seat (he doesn't think he needs to. I told him he does). Gonna go to Kiddicare and get them to fit it into my car so I know for sure its ok (a Toyota Celica T-Sport, Japanese Import with bucket seats is, apparently, not the best car to have a car seat in). OH's be fine cos its a VW Golf. I do want to get one for my car anyway as the Silver Cross one will only last up to a year (more likely 9 months if baby is long).

Evie, thats good your work made you get checked out, at least not long left at work, could you finish earlier if you are feeling so rough?
