I've seen a thread for June, July and September. But none for the future leo babies!
I'm due on the 3rd! Anyone else around then? :)

hello everyone, just a quick post...

Root hows things going?

Evie Headaches have practically gone at the min, just a niggle which I can cope with without painrelief which is good as it means LO is now more active Grin

Eviepoo · 11/07/2011 13:05

winter - thats good

I had a growth scan this morning - baby is not that big (head and tummy measurements taken), I suspect a long one.

I feel really crappy today, back at the clinic this afternoon. Dunno what is wrong - feel sick and hot, other than that I can't discribe, muscles feel tired maybe. I've lost about 4lb in the last 2 weeks.....odd.

Rootatoot · 11/07/2011 15:50

Hi everyone

winter All ok so far, thanks. Was back up at day assessment this morning for monitoring. They're v happy with baby. He's v lively. BP no better but no worse either. Back up at hospital on Weds to see consultant and have a doppler scan to check on the blood flow, so we'll see what happens next!

Had nice weekend with my friend. Bless her, she was having a great time of having a weekend off, away from her DH & kids :) I felt bad cos I was really not up to doing anything, but bf was delighted to just chill out in garden, watch dvds and natter. She's fab.

Glad your headaches have improved and your LO is bouncing about!

evie Good you had your scan and baby isn't unduly big, though sorry you're not feeling well. What do the docs say about it? Is it the change in your diet perhaps? Make sure you are resting too. We're all getting to that stage where as much rest as poss can't hurt I guess!

The CTG showed that although I haven't felt it, my uterus is gearing up and doing some braxton hicks. Interesting too, though possibly TMI ALERT....I woke up yesterday with rock hard sore boobs, leaking colostrum. Not so sore and hard today but I mentioned it to MW. She said it is poss that my body knows that I'm going to have an early labour and it's gearing up. She said any 'period' pains and I'm to ring triage straight away! I just think the consultant scared my body into preparing early, saying I might have him this week! LOL

mrsmon · 11/07/2011 16:41

Hey just popping in to see how everyone is doing :) ddays not far away now!

im doing ok apart from the pressure down below, BH and backache! constantly thinking im going to go into early labour! not a good thing when have to be booked in for an elcs! is anyone else having these troubles!

hope ur all keeping well xx

Rootatoot · 11/07/2011 17:31

Hey mrsmon when is your EDD or should I say when are you booked in for ELCS? Hard to say whether I'm a zombie through my medication or whether it's sort of normal for this stage. My back is sore today though, yes. All good fun isn't it?! ;)

mrsmon · 11/07/2011 18:46

its roughly around the the week beginning 15th august so a good few weeks of moaning still in me lol!

hopefully the backache eases up theres nothing worse when your sooo uncomfortable constantly! i try and keep busy as it seems to start up when i try to relax, you cant win!
how long you got left Rootatoot?
x

WinterLover · 11/07/2011 19:42

Hello mrsmon

Im fed up today, DPs first day at work and I had plans to crack on with the house, but water retention and BH stopped those plans! Grumpy doesnt come close now :(

I want to go to sleep, DP's got to leave home no later than 5am tomoro meaning up at 4am... so I shall get up with him, let the dog out and then go back to bed for a few hours.

Rootatoot · 11/07/2011 20:24

mrsmon well I'm due on 19 Aug (same as winter Grin) but they think I'll be early now on account of problems I've been having with high bp. Just taking it as it comes now. Seeing consultant wednesday. If they're not happy then might whip me in then...on the other hand might get another couple of weeks to cook my little one :)

winter is this a new job with DP then? I totally relate to feeling frustrated. Everything with me is such an uphill struggle at the moment. The tablets are just totally spacing me out. I felt like hanging washing was major acheivement today! Soooo annoying. Our poor doggy is being very neglected, though luckily he's been in garden all day as weather has been good. I'm really missing our walks in the forest. :(

Eviepoo · 11/07/2011 20:35

Hello All, Hey mrsmon

You are actually due at a similar time of the month to all of us (18/19th (I think) and 21st for me.)

Doctor was pleased with my bloods - I've to carry on as I have been doing.

Was bad tonight though - really wanted a snickers and DH went and got me one.

Maybe the keeping a very close eye on what I have been eating has made me drop a few pounds, not that I am complaining, I have put on 1st 10lbs which I know isn't loads, but at 5'4 and a size 14/16 I keep getting told by docs I am overweight and need to lose. So I hoped not to gain too much (my friend put on 5.5st and a year on is still trying to lose the extra 4st she is carrying) and as long as docs think my diet is fine and sensible (I'm keeping a diary to go with the glucose readings) I'll not worry.
I actually gained less than 1st with DD - and sickening as it may sound, I left hospital in my levis. Ah well that was my young 22 year old body...my 34 year old one is feeling every single one of it's years twice over today.

Told Doc was feeling rubbish (i've also had the runs) and was told if I felt worse to call triage.

Just knackered I guess - struggling to keep my eyes open - but need to wait til at least 9ish to take my bloods.
13 more days of work....then sleep time (oh - that means 41 days to due date!!)

I don't get so much of a sore back, but my pelvis and butt hurts Hmm
Root I have the opposite problem - sorry if TMI but my boobs feel really flat and deflated...and itchy

I've had this daft thought all along that dragon is coming early....now I am not so sure, but the MW at the diabetes clinic today said they would not let me go over my due date - I should have quizzed her more but was tired and hot.

I can't believe you've not felt your braxton hicks.....but I guess they say you feel them more 2+ PGs

Sorry for moaning and gibbering on - just hanging out on MN until I can take blood and head to sleeps

WinterLover · 11/07/2011 21:03

It's agency work, he's worked for them before. Basically driving round the country delivering security doors. Hes self employed so takes work where he can. Annoying as it's never regular money, although I have just scared him by telling him how much money a month he'll now have to bring in once my wages drop.

Worst bit is he's got 2 weeks work, then off a week followed by at least one more weeks work. However in the week off he has a hospital appointment to discuss his knees and to decide if/when to operate on them!! Il be 37 weeks by then Confused and it will mean he's off work and in pot for min 12 weeks! Just hope he can claim ESA this time round otherwise we're screwed Sad

Sorry for the rant...

oinkyoink · 11/07/2011 21:17

hi all
i know i am not a regular here but i do check in... hope you are all feeling ok!
i just needed to chat to someone about how soon we are having these babies, it's just so scary to think. well exciting too but eeeeeeek... does anyone else feel the same? i am due 13th. have my hosp bag packed, need to put the baby car seat in the boot now.
i can hardly explain how tired i feel - thank god dc1 still naps so i can nap too in the day as i have stopped working now :)

Rootatoot · 11/07/2011 21:27

winter I can totally empathise about work. My DH has been on short contract work (also patchy) since losing his job in the downturn last year. Not easy. I'm also freelance and a bit of part-time, so don't have a brilliant/stable income but we're muddling through. I've been worrying about getting his accounts done so that if we need to claim any help, at least we can try. The knee operation sounds just unbelievably bad timing! Sorry winter - sounds v diff for you both. Hope you have some family & friends around to help you out?

oinky hello. I think I'm too spaced out on bp tablets to feel excited or panicky! It just doesn't seem real to me at all. Bit scared about the reality check I suppose. I had minor wobble earlier about how little help I think DH might give me. He's doing his best but he's just up to his eyeballs in work just now and finding it all stressful (work not much fun). Doesn't make it v easy for me though. Had a lot to take in about baby possibly coming early and I have to 'explain' things to him so he get's it. Still not sure that he does get how much rest I should be having. Still at least our new freezer arrived so hopefully my mum will help fill it and I won't starve when I get home from hospital!!

oinkyoink · 11/07/2011 21:57

root I don't think men ever get how much rest we need or what it is like to be pregnant. Actually I don't think, I know!!! I see what you mean with the high bp and it distracting from the reality of the fact a baby will appear soon. Don't worry, your dh will realise once baby has arrived, and I am sure he will be a great help to you. That is what normally happens (from talking to friends).

theonlyhb2 · 11/07/2011 22:03

i am sitting in my amazingly comfy glider chair in my fully equipped nursery, freaking out. How did this happen? I really do look pregnant now. No hiding it. And hello boobs! My 34ff underwired bra fits perfect now. Doesnt hurt at all (Havent worn for months) on my ribs and my boobs look awesome. Now need on loosest hook instead of tighter as when i last wore it but how i have filled the cups out!

4 days left at work!!

Beccabop · 11/07/2011 22:33

Im due 2nd August but am convinced (or it could well be wishful thinking of course) that baby will be here late July :)

mrsmon · 12/07/2011 10:07

hey everyone :)

babys moving about mad at the mo! constantly gettting kicked in the ribs which i find really uncomfortable as last 2 where breech and transverse! so a weird feeling to say the least! (and another reason why i think i will go early)

I never felt Bh in last 2 but they seem really strong this time around!

My DH is currently redecorating all of the MIL house! has been for 5 weeks! and im getting annoyed because i want loads done in here before baby makes an appearance! still no hospital bag ready as im waiting for him to take me (MIL certainly picks her time) sometimes i feel raging mad! everything i ask gets put on the back burner! arrgghh (sorry rant needed) lol

Does anyone find it harder to get around now? doing normal things with other DS's and house etc (esp when DH works all day + out all night decorating) lol il stop ranting now!

eviepoo im due 24th but as this is my 3rd elcs their taking me early so just a couple of weeks behind u all.

hope everyone is well :D x

WinterLover · 12/07/2011 18:53

Evening everyone..

God i forgot how much I hate getting DP up for 4am :( sooooo tired.

Ive uploaded a bump picture Grin

Eviepoo · 12/07/2011 19:19

Oh how do I see pictures Winter?
I have one from about 3 weeks ago I could post

theonlyhb - I too have a glider chair. I was so lucky, I wanted one, but we couldn't afford one really, but I lead a big inspection earlier in the year and we got the accreditation no issues so boss gave me a WWD award - which basically means here you can have a voucher for the shop of your choice...so amazon it was and I got my chair :) As the nursery isn't ready mine is currently in the living room

Guys I can't imagine what it must be like for you/your DP's to be in agency work, that must bring worries of it's own kind. We are lucky in that DH and I both work for big companies (and have done for a while) and therefore we are fairly secure (well as secure as you can be in a job these days). We may not be on huge salaries but it is comforting to know what we have coming in each month....we are so going to have to be much more prudent than we are usually when my 'extra' mat pay runs out (my company pays 4 weeks longer than it has to for the 90% salary rate) + I am due 2 weeks worth annual leave pay + I will work 10 KIT days....but that adds up to about 3 months of normal income for me and I will be off 8.5 months...so 5.5 months on just stat mat pay is actually making me nervous.

Having said that..you find someway to work it out, to cut a long story short I managed to keep me and DD on a salary half what I get now - for a couple of years when I was on my own.....we were okay.

WinterLover · 12/07/2011 19:31

Evie if you click on my name it should take you to my public profile

It is a worry but its been like it ever since I got together with DP so im kinda used to it now, although it doesnt get easier..

Eviepoo · 12/07/2011 19:31

WinterLover · 12/07/2011 19:34

My bump has definately dropped now.. still all to the front and no one can tell im pregnant from behind :) im quite proud of that as I usually struggle with my weight

Eviepoo · 12/07/2011 19:47
