First trimester - counting down to week 12

Currently 8 weeks - by my counting but was ill before this so not entirely sure of when I had my last period. Hospital has set up my first appointment on the 6th April and in the meantime I have been reading as much as I can about pregancy. At the moment have all the usual preganancy symptoms but from the internet research I have done I have a 50:50 chance of miscarriage and that doesn't factor my age as I am over 35. Anyone else just counting down the weeks to the end of the first trimester?

I had my 12week scan last Thursday (all fine!). I just wanted to reassure on a post a saw a couple of weeks ago about internal scans. I was given one too!
After the normal ultrasound, they did an internal scan to check the length of the cervix and position of the placenta.
Just wanted to say that maybe this is starting to happen more?
When they said 'allow 2 hours for the appointment' they weren't joking :)

11wks on weds, by my reckoning. Booking in appt at st marys in Manchester on thurs, I'm now really confused whether or not I'll be scanned or not, had assumed that it would be a scan as it's at the hospital, is that likely? I'm not sure I can wait any longer to check it's ok. I've been really anxious and pessimistic so far, and am freaked out by the fact that I don't know what's going on inside my own body.

8 weeks and counting. I have to confess it all got too much for me and I booked a private scan - was worth the money for the stress relief - I couldnt have waited any longer - was then worried was doing harm with all the worry. Have no patience.
Ade- they should get you in between 11+3 and 13+4 weeks for your nuchal scan - am sure they will sort that for you asap - my hospital were a bit weird in that they booked the scan weeks ago - but wouldnt sort out the booking appointment until weeks 8-10 - am being seen at 8+6 for booking, interrogation and blood tests, scan at 12 weeks. Just keep praying all still ok then.

Broke down at work today, haven't stopped crying since, so private scan now booked as I've finally had letter from hospital today bout the appt on thurs(ffs) explaining that as everyone here has said, no scan will be offered for another fortnight. By which time I might be over the nuchal scan time limit, so will be crying about that on thurs at booking in appt and making them book me in. Surely it makes more sense to have a scan then do booking in, as then u know for certain that there is something to book in about?
Work already thought I was mad, today's performance will defo get me in mind for any promotions going.

Me too.... I am so completely paranoid about miscarriage now (having been overly excited for the last week.... talk about mood swings) that I can't stop thinking about it. Had my first dream about miscarrying last night - and knowing me, they will continue until I've had that scan. I'm only 6 weeks in...
Also, I don't live in the UK anymore - instead am living in a hot country where the traffic is bonkers and food hygiene isn't great. So maybe even more paranoid than I normally would be. Argh! I know the risks, but what are the stats? Are there stats? I like stats - they always make me feel happier. Confused
