I wouldn't mind a link :)

Hi everyone x

loops - definitely sounds as though you've done the right thing. I'd be furious if I were you. How are you feeling generally btw? It's hit me that I'm 36 weeks today and that I could feasibly have a baby this month - which is lovely and scary and a whole host of other things. However, my main worry is the thought of going far beyond 40 weeks as the achiness and tiredness has now hit me like a truck (after being so relatively ache and pain and fatigure free until now).

  • although may I say that I don't think you should be lurking at all - you should be posting more!

ivy - like Loopy says, I hope you're not planning on making a fuss in June for Father's Day? Hope you're doing okay and that your tightenings mean things hurry up soon.

I was actually overwhelmed by my DH yesterday - he'd bought me a card which he signed from our two lost babies and our baby-to-be (:( / :) ), and a new dressing gown for my hospital bag - all of which basically left me crying for a good hour! Obviously I wasn't expecting a thing, so he earnt massive massive brownie points - although he's setting a high standard for things to come, methinks... Wink

Anyway, hope everyone else is well. I think we'll need an updated list at some point, although not quite sure what to do about Osch and Hopefully as neither have posted on this thread since Christmas, I think?

xx

VivClicquot · 04/04/2011 12:22

Ooh cross-posts. Me too please!

owlbooty · 04/04/2011 12:29

Viv your DH wins all the points - what a lovely thoughtful thing to do, no wonder you were in floods :) Can't believe you are 36 weeks already, I remember when you got the magic bfp :)

If Osch and Hopefully aren't around then that means, does it not, that Ivy is top of the list? Shock

Youremindmeofthebabe · 04/04/2011 12:32

here you go Smile

Daisybell1 · 04/04/2011 12:51

Am an imposter, but Owl, Dachs, Pink et all have been holding my hand for weeks on the conception thread through my repeated meltdowns and general terror.

May I de-lurk when I feel brave enough? Am 17 weeks tomorrow

VivClicquot · 04/04/2011 13:16

Oh my days - he's beautiful. If anyone passes her on another thread, will you give her my love?

And hi daisybell - yes please please do de-lurk! We'd love to have you here. :)

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 04/04/2011 13:31

he really is beautiful.

and omgomgomg, that makes me almost top of the list. Shock

nope, not planning on making a fuss on father's day.
his birthday is on the 12th of may.......... what should I do? [evil]

no impostors here, the more the merrier :)
if you all write your stats down I might give the list a go.

btw, still tightening, now also have some...uhm.. loose movements... my caseloading student midwife asked yesterday if i could please keep my legs crossed during working hours mon-fri the next couple of weeks because she needs to catch up on uni work during the day. before, I would have easily wagered that I'd still go 2 weeks overdue, even with all the niggles. now, I'm not so sure. Hmm

OP posts:
owlbooty · 04/04/2011 13:52

Hoorah!

17 weeks is ace, missus - at least you are hyperventilating into that bag and not barfing into it Grin There is no such thing as an imposter in here. I can't believe we've suddenly got a whole load of lovely people well into the 2nd trimester, it's ace.

Ooooh, Ivy how exciting :)

PrettyVacant1 · 04/04/2011 15:51

Hello Peeps. Smile
Super to see more noo ladies joining and bumping me up the list.

ViV ShockGrinSmile 36 weeks.ShockGrinSmile
wells up a little at the fact and also cos of your D,DP.

Ivy Grrrr for yours.
'citing bout tightening though. Grin

Waves to Lia if she's lurky lurkin'
xxx

Hope everyone is well, not a lot to report here, not sure if I've felt rumblings. Hmm
It's more like the occassional pinch or poke.
I'm growing a naughty one obviously.
Went to the Doc to have a mole on my face removed, I've reminded them 3-4 times over the past 12 weeks or so that I be diffed and was told it's no problem.
Changed my shift, went along, sat down, Doc said "Hmmmm, probably not the best idea to do it."
No shit Sherlock.
So I made him get the doppler out and got a whoosh, whoosh fix whilst I was there. Grin

20 week scan on Thurs, last time I was at the hospital I looked around and assumed that the women sat there with noticable bumps were there for the 20 week scan, I don't have a noticable bump. Sad
I'm still looking like I've been on a binge.
Soooooooooooo, I just look fatter and I can't really feel anything.
Booooooooo.
Harumph.
And so on and so forth.......

lia66 · 04/04/2011 15:59

hi ladies,

Well as you know I had my little P e n n y on Friday morning, 6.40am after 3 very intense hours of labour. 8lb 11 ozs so a littlie by my standards. She has a shock of black hair.

he is doing well, despite a slow start to feeding, getting the hang if now bless her, likes her cuddles but i can live with that.

Have to say, I am not doing so brilliantly, birth, although completly natural with tens and only 2 pushes, (waters going to birth 15 mins) has left me sad and disappointed in myself so I feel I need some space to process and come to terms with everything.

with that in mind, I won't be on her for a while although I will keep looking for updates on everyone.

If you have my email, feel free to email me if you want. Will pop on and off fb too so I will be able to keep an eye on you all.

ivy bunting out for you next lady, come on.

Hi to everyone else, viv 36 wks, how did that happen? Shock :)

I'll be back. Thanks for all lovely congrats messages.

xx

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 04/04/2011 17:38

Proper congratulations now, Lia! and big hugs from me! (I did just try to find you on the bookface, but I'm obviously not good enough at stalking you that way :o )

OP posts:
PinkFondantFancy · 04/04/2011 19:01

Hello!!!

Thanks owly that is v. reassuring!

Congratulations lia, sorry you're feeling sad, hopefully see you back soon.

mrspretty boo for lack of mole-removage, hurray for sneaky doppler fix!

viv your DH sounds lovely! Good for him!

loopy I'm not surprised you're Angry - I would be too! That is ridiculous, especially if your notes are now misleading. Have you got an IM? Is there any way you can have the homebirth with an IM instead? Sorry if you've been through this before with the others - ignore me if you have!

orange my Biscuit Biscuit are like that too!

I had a good cry today and seem to have snapped out of the foul mood Confused - no idea what about but seems to have helped! So you know this second trimester blooming thing...... is it actually real?? I am absolutely desperate to start being active again but don't dare at the moment because I just feel so exhausted, short of breath and faint - do you reckon this is going to pass or should I just suck it up and get on with it?!

I've had a go at the list - I really hope I haven't messed this up being such a newbie to the thread but please shout if I have!!! I haven't moved Lia or Hopefully though as not sure what the etiquette is for moving people...

Just a quickie as i'm on my phone, but what an exciting time... Two new ickle babies, and lots of lurky ttc grads! You're all most MOST welcome!!
lia huge congratulations! Go easy on yourself, as you know your hormones will be everywhere. Sorry things weren't exactly how you dreamed, but you have a gorgeous girlie none-the-less! X
Will do a proper catch up tomorrow...but huge waves to you all.
PS... Should we get the bunting out again ivy? How are the tightenings going?

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 04/04/2011 21:30

Still here, apple... seeing midwife tomorrow, will see what she says.
Will ask her if she'll let me make an appointment with the reflexologist. I can't bear the thought of spending the next two weeks like this. They are getting stronger, but not regular, and not strong enough.

Ivy maybe we can still be due date buddies!!! I had reflexology with DD2 & she arrived on her due date but I really do know what you mean about wanting baby to be here & pregnancy to be finished. I'm so big & uncomfortable now but the end is in sight - 8 more sleeps Grin!!!

Morning wave to all - hope you're well.

VivClicquot · 05/04/2011 09:49

Morning all! xx

VivClicquot · 05/04/2011 09:50

ps - If one were to consider having some reflexology done in the run up to due date, how close to said due date should one start? Am just asking for a friend.... Wink

becks130 · 05/04/2011 09:52

Hi all just thought i'd pop in as I'm feeling VERY Stressed. I had a missed miscarriage in April 2009 and then went on to have my beautiful daughter, I also have a beautiful son who is almost 5. I am now 11+3 weeks pregnant and my scan is booked for friday morning, I am so nervous as I found out that I mc at my the dating scan last time and the scan is one week before I found out that mc last time. I'm finding it all very hard as the baby is due only 2 weeks later also.

I'm not sure what i'm looking for in this post I just needed to get it off of my chest and I don't feel I can talk to DH as I don't want to upset him. x

owlbooty · 05/04/2011 10:07

Becks you are not alone. We have all done that exact same freaking out before scan thing - I was utterly convinced there would be nothing there at all. You are most welcome to pull up a chair and join us in here :)

Penguin sorry! I thought Ivy would be top of the list but I'd forgotten you were above her! YOU ARE NEXT At least you know when minipenguin is going to arrive, that's rather nice.

PV lovely to hear from you madam. Also - you wait. Since 20 week scan I have been expanding like a fecking balloon. Is unbelievable.

Big congrats to LurkyLia - hope you're having a nice time with your lovely new arrival.

Wombat33 · 05/04/2011 11:42

Hello peeps!! Wow it's been busy on here! CONGRATULATIONS to Lia and hopefully! Fab news!!

Not too much news my end. Fnally beginning to feel MUCH better - I think the blooming thing might happen after all! Smile Preg brain still v much in evidence though - managed to turn up at the hospital 2 hours early for my appointment yesterday Hmm but better early than late!

PenguinsMummy · 05/04/2011 12:14

Viv I had reflexology every 2 wks all the way through second half of my pregnancy with DD2 but therapist avoided touching the area of my feet that would have stimulated my uterus until my 38 wk appt and then she went for it as I told her I was v ready for DD to arrive! Even if it did nothing it was a lovely way to relax Grin

Becks welcome & you're in the right place.

Owl even though this is DD3 I still cant get my head round it yet. DH and I keep looking at each other & saying OMG we're going to have a baby soon! Visited a friend & her 6day old on Saturday which made it all v real. DD's just stared in awe. The eggs in the fridge have a longer date now than me!

Although DD1 has provided some distraction for the past 19days - she has finally passed a £1 coin she swallowed. I don't recommend poo checking when heavily pregnant!!! Confused
