Loops I'll pit you out of your misery, yes she has - earlier this morning. I'll leave it to Lia to make the announcement and give proper details. All very exciting!

Owl who all met up? I love the idea of that but being in Glasgow isn't all that handy! Did you go to MamaP's place? It must be well weird meeting in person!!

Sorry for the poor show and never being here. I am bloody exhausted, on my own at the moment as DH is back in Ireland with his parents after FIL had a triple bypass. He'll be away for about 10 days all in and i'm struggling to commute, work 5 days then run about after DD. Feeling pitiful, very hormonal and a bit vulnerable. Loopy just the thought of your schedule makes me tired!

wombat bridesmaid 8days before due date?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Very brave! Grin

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 02/04/2011 10:10

hiya dachs! how nice of you to join us! double diffed? whoop! congratulations!

wombat good on ya with the bridesmaid thing, I don't think I could stand to be on my feet for that long in one spot at the moment (spd and low BP suck) but barring any physical problems, have fun!

Moo sorry to hear about your FIL. Is there nobody who could help you with your DD?

loopy When do you start your maternity leave?

I've been vaguely aware of tightenings all night, waking up with most of them, but I don't think they are really doing anything yet. Still going, though, every 15-20 minutes or somesuch..
Shopping for some last bits later. :)

I'm lurking too, will be over in a couple of weeks if all goes to plan!

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 02/04/2011 20:32

whoop, more lurkers :)

I'm either in early labour or am being punished with horrendous indigestion for eating a supersized burgerking meal earlier and walking around like crazy all day. Most likely the second option. Biscuit

Moo twas a bunch of us off another fred that met up but by coincidence me and Teaching happen to be local so we went along. Twas v.nice and MiniTeaching is utterly gorgeous and has now fooled me into thinking all babies behave that well. :)

I've photographed a wedding today. And now I am officially fooked and must lie down on the floor Grin

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 02/04/2011 21:10

lol loopy I don't know, I'm still tightening and have periody pains, but this other pain is more like heartburn all around my bump and not in my stomach. Hmm probably just horrible burgerking wind. that'll teach me. although I wouldn't mind having a baby tomorrow. I wish. With DS, I was already in hospital at this point..

ivy sounds interesting... Keep us posted!

Nice to see dachs and a few others sidling over !!

lia looking forward to hearing from you- we've prepared a comfy chair with good back support for late night feeding sessions in post grads for you!!

PenguinsMummy · 03/04/2011 16:42

V exciting Ivy !!!

Congrats to Lia - am sure she'll be delighted that her little one has arrived.

Welcome to all the lurkers - good to have you here.

And a happy mothers/mothers-to-be day to all!

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 03/04/2011 19:23

still here, still tightening, still no change. sigh. I bet it'll keep going like this for another two weeks.

I had the doubtful pleasure of helping my husband paint his new office today. No cards, no flours, no lie in, no breakfast, no dinner cooked for me. because "we don't do mother's day", he decided. He also did this for our anniversary (I had to plan a night out at short notice), valentines, and he forgot my birthday "because it's too close to christmas". Can you tell I'm tired and hormonal?

How's it going Ivy?

Haha I feel like an intruder here!

owlbooty · 03/04/2011 21:12

Aw, Ivy my DH is also rubbish at that sort of thing - put it this way, he's bought a mother's day card for his mum but it hasn't made it as far as the post box.

Velvet there's a weird gap in the middle between nix and me and the next people above us on the list - the more people that sidle in and join the bottom the better I reckon :) Plus I like the idea of getting nearer the top Grin

owlbooty · 03/04/2011 21:16

Also, also - for anyone who, between about 18 - 22 weeks, finds themselves thinking OMG I haven't felt anything for days, is he okay in there panicpanicpanic etc ... please take note that having rushed myself to the MW for the sneaky doppler fix, I have been kicked all weekend and I suspect he is actually breakdancing in there because I have felt him do backflips at least twice.

Remember; they are hiding to wind you up because they think it is funny. Grin

PinkFondantFancy · 03/04/2011 23:39

Hello all I am in a bad bad mood for absolutely no reason. And I think my mini bump has shrunk :( is this par for the course??! Angry I only had a scan this week and my zen has already evaporated..... Gah!

PinkFondantFancy · 03/04/2011 23:41

Oh and ivy I would be fuming!! "we don't do mothers day"???? WTF??? think there's a long list of stuff I'd suddenly decide I don't do either!!!

OrangeGloss · 04/04/2011 06:45

Ivy you need a mothers day!! You should have next Sunday as your day. A few well chosen moments of forgetfulness on your part might wake him up :)

Owl that's good to know, keep telling me that when I no doubt freak out. Yay for acrobatic owlet :)

Lia am I allowed to say congrats even if you haven't officially told us?!

Pink maybe your bean has gone for an adventure into your body and that's why it's shrunk?

So good to see some lurkers, it would be nice to see more on the list, not least so I'm less near the bottom Wink Grin jinx pixies have been warned to stay away!

My bean seems to like my right side better than my left, if I lie for a couple of minutes on my back I can feel a definite lump. Dh could feel too and was very bemused. I've had some more nudges too and felt over the moon

Oh yeah, anyone else's (Biscuit Biscuit) not sore any more just big?!

Go Loops - these things will never change unless people speak up and complain. If they've written inaccurate things in your notes then they ought to amend them and sign the amendment. They're meant to be supporting homebirth, not trying to put people off.

Pinketypink Yes! The magic growing and shrinking bump. Mine is still doing that although there's a definite phase where it is stopping being mainly bloat and starting to be mainly baby - I got quite worried around then as my jeans actually did up again - I can tell you now, it did not last that long. They definitely don't do up now. Grin

Orange - yes to the biscuits too :) Am quite relieved about that; it was getting damn uncomfortable.

Youremindmeofthebabe · 04/04/2011 12:16

ivy was asking about hopefully? I read her blog, and she has good news! Not sure I really want to say any more in absentia, but I could link to her blog if anyone wants?
