LOL FWCC is Front Wrap Cross Carry, imo the most comfortable way of carrying a baby in a sling because it's so supportive. :)

Oh FFS - I can see another mistake too. I thought adding six days would be easy, as you just add a week, but subtract a day from the + figures. Turns out, maths was never my strongest point....

owlbooty · 29/03/2011 12:01

Aw Viv . I cannot believe I am 21+2 but it is correct. How the feck did that happen???

I agree, she is suspiciously quiet. I hope something good came of the show yesterday. My pompoms are also at the ready. :)

I'm going to try and persuade some others over from the freak out room, it's getting awfully crowded in there.

My mei tai is cream coloured with furry spots in different blues and browns. Beautiful. :)
No, DH won't use it, but he did try it a couple of times. He said he would rather just carry DS, because he is "not as weak as me". Shock

hi ladies,

Still here,

still pregnant

:)

Am following alba's reasoning and will book induction when I see mw later today, then baby will come before that...Right? Hmm

Mothers day is looking close all of a sudden :)

Still getting some show, couldn't quite rustle up the neccecarys for sex so that didn't happen.Might accept the sweep this afternoon and see what happens, ie nothing!!!!!!! If all else fails, dh brought home a lovely stash of chocolate. :)

I searched for ages for a hug a bug 2nd hand this time, ( I lent mine to a client, didn't make a note of whom, and never ot it back) so have bought a moby this time. Didn't think of babywearers.com, (durr) might still go look, couldn't hurt to get a spare :)

loopsy I might be in a zen like state but it's probably due to all the cleaning I'm doing, (trying to keep busy and do stuff as opposed to nesting).

lou how lovely to see you, 28 wks, how the bloody hell did that happen?? Shock can't believe it.

jolls do you mind awfully getting in some fresh brie, that one we have open must be going a little hard around the edges by now. Cheers chuck. :)

Have decided to chill now, not gonna be stressed at how bloody long things are progressing.

Enjoy the sunshine everyone. I'll be back tomorrow with a baby ok? Grin

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 29/03/2011 15:52

argh just came back from our toddler group in a horrible mood, and I don't even know why.
Hold your ears shut, I'm going to scream.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

and breathe.

Wombat33 · 30/03/2011 18:36

I'm here!! Any news Lia?

Wombat33 · 30/03/2011 18:38

Had my 16 wk midwife appointment yesterday. All fine with bub as far as we could tell. Booking blood results have gone awol (joy!), consultant referral has been lost in the post and I asked her about my fear that my funny feelings down below could be cervix not being up to the job and she said if it is she would expect me to miscarry in the next few weeks Hmm but other than that, all good!

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 30/03/2011 18:38

that's what I was wondering, lia. I'm guessing my scream scared them off...

OP posts:
owlbooty · 30/03/2011 18:57

Wombat er, that sounds like a FAB appt. Not. Honestly, these people do not think before they open their mouths, do they? Hope all the missing things turn up. You are not, repeat, NOT, going to miscarry in the next few weeks. For I have decreed it. Womblebean is going nowhere.

Lia we're all still waiting for news Grin After all you did say you'd be back with a baby yesterday...if it's not turning up for a bit could you come and do the nesting thing in my house too? It looks bloody awful in here.

I've just ingested my first sachet of Spatone. I have no idea whether my iron levels are depleted but I'm effing knackered all the time so I figure it can't hurt. It was not nearly as foul as I thought it would be :)

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 30/03/2011 19:20

x-post wombat that sounds horrible!

hubby is finally laying DS's carpet. we've only been living here for 5 months tomorrow.

owl did you take it with orange juice?

OP posts:
owlbooty · 30/03/2011 20:07

No, I wasn't organised enough to have any orange juice in the house. I figured very strong Ribena would do the job for tonight :)

Tomorrow; I seek out orange juice!

Damn, my life is exciting.

nickstermum · 30/03/2011 20:12

Wombo your MW sounds like a nob!

Owls i managed 2 days of spatone then gave up the ghost... the constipation ruined me! Eat lots of foliageGrin

All fished up, checked up by MW, all good with bambino. DS told my bump he loved 'him' tonight and said he would share his toys.... gosh i really do love my son. Then we had, how did baby get in there how will he come out.... before starting to try and spoon feed my belly button with some pretend food for said baby!!

The words magic sprung to mind.. followed by a special baby hole....!!

Ivy hope you are more chilled now Grin

owlbooty · 30/03/2011 20:43

But but but - people have assured me it does not cause the hideous blockage of doom! It had better not, I basically live on vegetables so it bloody shouldn't.

Nix your DS sounds gorgeous, although you're going to have to watch him like a hawk when the little 'un turns up as he'll be trying to feed him all sorts whilst you're not looking Grin

OrangeGloss · 31/03/2011 06:57

No news from Lia then? [Dissappointed emoticon]

Wombat she sounds a delight Shock Silly cow

Nix what a lovely sweet thing to say, and thoughtful feeding too! I remember my mum teaching me the correct names and being the only one on my year that knew, felt a bit of a freak as no one believe me!

I've got my Doppler fix today, and spent the night having bizarre MW dreams. I think I've felt a gentle nudge on a few occasions, and last night I lay on my back, put my hand on my stomach gently and could feel a corner of something Hmm I'm hoping that's (a) a good thing and (b) I didn't imagine it! hopefully my Doppler fix will put my mind at ease for at least a day a while

owlbooty · 31/03/2011 10:40

Orange The doppler fix will be lovely, I am v.jealous as I would quite like one this week and am not due another appointment with anyone for another month - I can't believe how big the gaps are between appointments here. And when I do get the appt at 25 weeks it's with the GP and they will prob. do it with a stethoscope so I won't get to hear it anyway. I might have to sneak back and visit the MW inbetween; I do have an excuse as I am going abroad at the end of April and would like to know the little dude is okay in there before I head off.

Especially as he is being a right awkward so and so this morning and is not moving around - hopefully he will kick off later. Gives me a good excuse to have a nice cold can of coke though Grin

OrangeGloss · 31/03/2011 14:58

Thanks Owl she took a while to find the HB, I actually felt it scurry away at one point and kicked her!

She didn't arf press had, I was beginning to get worried, but am sure she's the expert and my naughty bean is well cushioned

I hope the coke worked? A sneaky pre-hols Doppler fix would put your mind at ease, and if not you can always buy more coke! :)

appleblossoms · 31/03/2011 15:10

wombat am Shock at the mw...how lovely and reassuring of her! Hmm Good job owl's on the case...no misbehaving now cervix!

ivy a carpet after 5 months is pretty good I reckon...it took 7 months to get some paint on the walls here!

nix your ds is sooooo cute! Bless his ickle cotton socks. My ds is completely uninterested in the fact there's a baby in my tummy...although has decided my bump makes a very good hill for rolling his cars down Hmm

Hope all is still flowing freely for you owl Wink and that the iron gives you some energy. It's dreadful when you feel wiped out all the time. Really hope you start to feel a bit better soon. I'm exhausted too..but think it's toddler/dh being ill for 2 1/2 weeks/ underactive thyroid related...all apart from the toddler are now fixed though so hope to see some improvement.

Hurray for doppler fixes... sounds like you've got a little pickle there orange fancy hiding away and kicking the lovely mw. hehe. Although when my bean did the same at 16 weeks, DH pointed out that if someone came and poked me when I was fast asleep wrapped up in my duvet I'd probably kick them too...

any news today lia??
