Thanks velvet it's really comforting that you've been having the same sort of thing as well. There's a GP at work, maybe I'll just go there rather than getting the MW to come out. Hurray for getting BIL to move out - did he replace all your chocolate as a leaving prezzie?????? Good work on the cleaning mission, v impressive! I took a couple of big bags of stuff to the charity shop a couple of weeks ago and that was really satisfying so I totally get where you're coming from.

OrangeGloss · 22/05/2011 22:23

Phew glad I hadn't offended. I was just thinking I hadn't caught up all week

Velvet I'm so pleased to hear BIL has moved out, it's been far too long. Must be something in the air I've been in a cleaning frenzy but I bet it was more satisfying cleaning away the memory of him staying for so long

Pink I haven't really had that but went through a phase when it was hot but it settled down Hmm I'd ring the MW to settle your nerves, I've rung for random things and she's seemed very patient :)

appleblossoms · 23/05/2011 07:12

Morning all
pink that sounds fairly normal for pregnancy, but definitely worth chatting to mw or seeing the nurse...no one minds seeing a pregnant lady!
velvet hurray on bil moving out, wow...i remember you discussing that back when we were all on the ttc thread!
Well I had an interesting time last night...really sharp pain in cervix, followed by slightly painful braxton hicks and back ache...but it all taylored off by midnight. So, am hoping that's a sign it may not be toooo much longer now.
Hope everyone else is doing well...and that those at the top are feeling crampy and those at the bottom aren't!
dachs, if you're reading, we're all thinking of you...there are just no words. Hope you and dh are finding strength from each other. x

littlemiss72 · 23/05/2011 07:51

Morning all, apple you could have typed that sentence for me.. Shock

Yesterday late afternoon I started feeling very crampy and had quite sharp pains, lots of braxton hicks to! I went to bed and managed to sleep however my back is still bad this morning and I have a feeling I'll be list jumping at some point soon. Also had a lilttle bit of a show on Saturday.. DH is in a panic as he fly's to Singapore Wednesday - what will be will be, I have a friend coming over to stay and she's already been warned she may get more than she bargined for.

pink I've had an increase discharge whilst being pregnant, I did mention it and was swabed. All was fine, was told it's pretty common in pregnancy. No harm in speaking to the MW though just to put your mind at rest Wink

Back to Monday, funny how the days all roll into one when your on Maternity Leave.

Have a good day all x

PinkFondantFancy · 23/05/2011 09:32

Girls if anyone's updating the list, dachs has asked if she could be moved. I will do it tonight, but if anyone gets the chance in the meantime that would be great. tigger please could you look at the list on the multiples thread if if not already been done? Sad Sad

OrangeGloss · 23/05/2011 09:43

:( :( :( Dachs

tiggersreturn · 23/05/2011 09:47

Pink - have done it for the multiples list. Thanks for passing on the message.

OrangeGloss · 23/05/2011 10:07

Turns out the physio waiting area is the same as the scan waiting area. Sat here trying not to re-live things :( why is it the sad memories that return?

Emoo · 23/05/2011 10:46

Morning... feeling shell-shocked and subdued today after hearing about Dach's weekend. Sending hugs if you're reading.

MamaP - congrats on the baby girl!

Orange - oh, those buses. Might have a little lurk, but tbh I barely get time to keep up with you lot anyway. Glad to hear about your bouncy tummy. DH felt his first kick from the outside last night. I think he was a bit freaked! Took his hand straight off and didn't put it back again. I was a bit put out. // Just saw this morning's post - hope you are not still waiting there. Hopefully soon there will be some happier memories to counteract the sad.

Pink - if you're fairly sure it's thrush you've got, just go to the chemist? Otherwise I would go to the GP/MW for a swab - not sure MWs can prescribe independently though if it turns out you need some treatment.

Velvet am trying to take some inspiration from your cleaning and decluttering frenzy. Well overdue in this house.

Apple, Littlemiss - sounds exciting

Wombat33 · 23/05/2011 11:14

Morning all. I'm afraid no proper catch up from me this morning. I'm still shaken from Dachs' news. Totally devastating. In answer to the questions, no, I haven't bought anything yet. Wombatbean gave us a bit of a scare on Friday eve/Saturday by stopping moving for nearly 24 hours. We went shopping but I picked up Dachs' news when we were in the middle of John Lewis and couldn't carry on looking at baby stuff. We went into hospital in the end to get checked out and thankfully everything was fine.

OrangeGloss · 23/05/2011 11:45

Phew I'm out. Physio was lovely, told me to stop walking and buy a gym ball. Gym ball I can do, walking might be a bit more difficult as it's nearly a 3 mile round trip to work. Swimming was still a yes - now really must do some!

Emoo my dh seems glad I'm getting kicks but not too fussed about feeling them Hmm wonder if he's a bit freaked out

Wombat it's so difficult isn't it, news like that both deeply saddens me and shakes me to my core. Sorry wombatbean gave you a scare, my mood totally depends on how much miniorange has moved

Velvetcu · 23/05/2011 18:10

Wombat I am also devastated by Dachs' news for her and her DH and am also finding it difficult not to panic since she is only a couple of weeks ahead of me. Sorry Wombatbean gave you a scare but I'm glad it all turned out fine.

Pink no he didnt replace my chocolate and he left his room is such a state! It had mould around the windows and in the corners, stuff (including hair gel and moisturiser) all over the new carpet and general bits of crap he couldnt be arsed to clear up!

Apple and Littlemiss that sounds promising - who is gonna pop first? :)

Emoo I wish I hadnt started with the cleaning now because everywhere I look there is something else I can see that needs doing like light switches, door frames, skirting boards etc etc

Orange what was your physio for? I need to book in with one for hip/lower back pain which I think is PGP.

CaribouMoo · 23/05/2011 19:16

I think we're all reeling from what has happened to Dachs, I know she has been in my thoughts constantly. As another poster so eloquently put it on the freak out thread, we've all shared this journey with Dachs and I'm sure there isn't a single one of us who will forget about Alexander and Felicia and their brave fight - and even braver Mummy.

I'm going to have a go at the list and will move Dachs, which I hope is ok with her and everyone else.

Where are you Tigerbear? Any news? I am going into hospital on Thursday to be induced, assuming the wee man stays put until then, so will keep you all posted on developments.

Moo im so glad you have done that on the list... i dont like what they have done with the freak out list. Plonked her on the end with the 'thinking of' doesnt seem quite fitting if you know what i mean.

She has been in my thoughts alot too....:( I feel very blessed to have 1 healthy child and another healthy child thats cooking well...

i have my own problems but just trivia.... in comparison to that sense of loss

Hope everyone is good x

nickstermum · 23/05/2011 19:57

I changed the freak out list... was bugging me. Nicked your wording Moo.. hope you dont mind.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 23/05/2011 21:00

moo that list looks so Sad, also made me cry again jolls Sad

nicks I agree re the other list, thanks for amending.

Anyway I hope you're all keeping well, I can't believe how far along some of you are now Smile. I'm at 13 weeks now...had my NT scan last week which went really well, but I'm coming into my personal "danger zone" now so still pretty nervous.

I've been lurking and lurking and was going to hold off a bit longer before joining the list myself but tbh I'm not sure when - if ever - it will feel "safe"; as most of you know, my mmc last year happened at 16 weeks and, sadly, as we all know, things can go wrong at any time.

So I guess I might as well be brave: could whoever updates the list next add me in:

baby#3 13+0 EDD 28 November

Yikes, I am so far behind you all! Smile

mamapower · 23/05/2011 21:18

moo thanks for doing the list, a beautiful way to show we will never forget Smile

Just going to re-do list as my dates are wrong and I'll add you in too Izz

Sad at the list too....:(

Izzy yey for 13 weeks... xx Repeat mantra... you will be fine Izzbean xx

appleblossoms · 24/05/2011 10:39

A year ago today I went for my 12 week scan and found out the baby had died... And I think today my waters have gone!
Am feeling really mixed emotionally, this is the one day I didn't really want him to arrive...but I guess he knows best. ;) will keep you posted.

randomimposter · 24/05/2011 11:19

squeeze for Apple; my waters broke with DS at 36+5 in the evening after we'd interred my dad's ashes that day, and he arrived a couple of days later... maybe your little one wanted to send you some reassurance on a difficult day and give you something else to think about. Good luck x

tiggersreturn · 24/05/2011 11:21

Moo - I agree with you about putting Dachs on the list in that way. Only correction I would make was that the day they were born was 21st not 19th.

I hope I'm not going to offend anyone here and obviously we're all on this list because we've gone through mc in one way or another but in my view losing a baby post 16 weeks is very different from losing it pre-12 weeks. Pre-12 weeks you are unlikely to have felt the baby move, you may not have told many people, in particular your employer, you may not be showing or at least able to hide it. It is a very sad event but in a way it is private (which for some is better for some is worse) and to an extent you are aware that there is a risk of mc at that point whether you've gone through it or not. When you go to get checked they will tell you that 1/4 pgs end in mc at this stage. It's not unusual and it's generally inexplicable. Obviously recurrent mc at this stage is a different ball game but to the extent that you then start crossing into the infertility stage and the problems that come with that.

Losing a baby once you've passed that point, have felt them moving, have accepted that they're going to come, maybe have arranged your maternity leave and work arrangements, even bought some items for them is completely different. To a certain extent when you mc before they move and particularly before they've managed any sort of human looking form you are mourning an idea and a hope. When you've felt them move and they look like a baby you are mourning an idea, a hope and someone you have recognised as a person. You also have to deal with the rest of the world saying appropriate and inappropriate things. There's also the guilt factor x 10 of is there something I did wrong or is something really wrong with my body.

To go through this after over 7 years of trying for a baby is an awful tragedy.

tiggersreturn · 24/05/2011 11:22

Apple I hope today goes well. Red wine is meant to help Grin

owlbooty · 24/05/2011 11:30

Moo well done on the list. Definitely the right thing to do. As you say yourself, Dachs has been in my thoughts every day because the last year (and considerably longer for many) all of us have been together in this.

apple can't argue with the little dude; he'll arrive when he sees fit :)
Big squishy hug for you; hope today brings very good things indeed x

Wombat clearly Wombatbean needs a stern talking to. We'll have none of that not moving for 24 hours lark. Owlet did that around 22 weeks and completely freaked me out then just as I was pitching up at the MW clinic in a state of hysteria he booted me in the guts. Cue much swearing. I'm sure they do it on purpose.

Izzy glad you have joined us :) We will hold your hand for the next few weeks whilst you get through the difficult patch - I've brought a small kipper along from the freak out room just in case Grin

I went mad at the weekend and actually bought some stuff for Owlet to try and help with the bonding which I am still finding very difficult. Then I spent the rest of the weekend fretting about it and hiding it away so I didn't freak myself out further. It never stops, does it?
