Haha velvet people keep moving in on touch mine then change their minds at the last minute-think the evil eye might be doing the trick!! Grin I don't mind them touching it now that it won't wobble when they touch it though :)

Morning all, Hope your all keeping well.

Big congrats to MummyAbroad & Tiggersreturn good to see you both on the list! I've updated it for today however please let me know if your stats are wrong ladies - my brain isn't the best 34 weeks on Shock

I'm having terrible trouble sleeping now, just to add to it my feet and hands are playing up! They keeping going numb..some syndrome I believe and pretty common. Anyone else's feet got bigger?? MY SHOES!!! I must have at least 100 pairs, look after them all dearly - only flip flops fit. Blush

Velvet know what you mean about people lunging in for a touch! thankfully I'm a really touchy - feely person so it didn't bother me. I do know another friend at work who hated it, just tell them your not comfortable with people invading your space.

Mother in Law has decided to pay a visit, god help me! Last time I see her - Christmas.. as soon as we were alone I got the lecture about 'you sure this is what you both want' ffs. I'm not a fan, she's a kept woman and doesn't like the fact I work hard and have always provided for myself. She turns up on Monday, DH will be back from his travels but no doubt out at work leaving me alone to entertain her. I've booked afternoon tea at the Savoy and a got theater tickets to the Wizard of Oz. I guess I should be thankful for small mercies - she could have turned up after the birth. Grin

What's everyone got planned for the weekend.? lots of football on the TV to avoid I see.

Happy Saturday, love to all x

OrangeGloss · 15/05/2011 07:20

I've missed so much [shamed emoticon]

Loopy what fab news Grin Grin and not at all Envy of your newborn snuggles Wink and glad you got the HB you wanted
Daisy sorry you didn't get more from it. Do you have the option to request another? When I had counselling I could have requested to swap if personality clash
Yay for Tigger added to the list Grin and that minitiggers are doing well. I hope you're anniversary isn't too daunting
Mummya aka Oracle tis wonderful to see you added too :) and an almost Bonfire Night DD!
Pink awesome news about bumpage! Velvet I've had that a bit but found backing off and putting my arms in front helps a bit. It's people telling me I'm huge or calling me fatty I don't like :( I feel strangely ok with the touching, like bump isn't 'me' it's it's own identity, but that might change if I start getting strangers doing it!
Littlemiss sorry about mil but hopefully that's it for a while now. My idea of a perfect day you have planned

How do I get in on the Bookface action? Slightly guilty at not making an effort sooner.
Miniorange spent yesterday being quiet then last night doing some kind of aerobics :) I had my arm rested lightly on the top of my bump and it kicked it off! 24 weeks today, the countdown continues with another milestone done

PinkFondantFancy · 15/05/2011 11:45

Congratulations on 24 weeks orange! Have messaged you about bookfact.

Girls, how do you feel about second hand prams? They are soooo much cheaper, but I feel a bit weird about it. If I was buying a second hand cot I would put a new mattress and obviously new bedding in it, so it feels a bit weird to put my baby in a second hand pram? Am I being a weirdo?

orange I got told off at work on Friday for drinking a strawberry frappachino (sp?) from Starbucks because "if I put on 3 stone while I'm pregnant I'll know why" Confused Having said that, they might have a point. My rings are tighter on my fingers now - is that just weight gain?

littlemiss well done for booking lots of activities for MIL, much easier than making polite conversation for hours on end.

PinkFondantFancy · 15/05/2011 11:46

bookfact??? You know what I mean Grin

PS. nix loooooooooove your bookface piccies!

nickstermum · 15/05/2011 13:11

Loopy that is awesome news honey..congratulations on her safe arrival and yey for complication free. do we have a name?

nickstermum · 15/05/2011 15:50

YEY for Mummy and Tigger joining us..:) and yey orange for 24 weeks.
Owl we are 28 weeks and moo you are top(but 1) how did that happen?

Thanks Pink, i think they are pretty awesome too :) Didnt get any bump pics with DS so to have some this time, esp with DS is special :)

Daisybell1 · 15/05/2011 16:50

Oooh, is there bookface action?

Pink I have absolutely no issues with 2nd hand (although maybe I should...) on the basis that the thrift fairies beat off the jinx pixies Grin

Am seriously thinking of buying my pram on ebay but buying a new car seat to clip in it...

Velvetcu · 15/05/2011 17:18

Can I have some bookface action too??

It would seem that velvetbean has favourites already - I've been away for the weekend and started stressing coz I didn't feel him much sat/this morning. Got home an hour ago and he's been jumping around a lot more than ever!

pink I'm not going to buy second hand but only because it's my plan (fx) to pop out a few sprogs now I've started so I'll get more use if I buy new now. Having said that I will be scouring the net for sales when I finally feel brave enough to start thinking about all that stuff! Other than that there are lots if second hand prams/bedroom sets which have really been looked after and are in good condition.

loopy hope you are enjoying lots of cuddles

Hellooo everyone else

MummyAbroad · 15/05/2011 18:42

pink I bought a second hand bugaboo and have never regretted it. Those things are so sturdy, its still going strong after 3 years of my use (and 2 years prior) and will be good for this bub too. I spent A LOT of time washing and cleaning it before use, and DS ended up sleeping in it a lot - no probs at all. If its the reclining kind, you tend to end up using a cot sheet and a muslin or too on top (makes clean up easier than changing the mattress cover that comes with it) so they arent really in that much direct contact with the pram fabric anyway. He liked it better than his cot because it was black and the dark colours helped promote sleep better.

VivClicquot · 15/05/2011 20:31

loopy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations lovely lady - really glad you got the home birth you wanted. Hope you're enjoying your first few days with your precious baby girl. Isn't being Team Pink fab?! Grin

All well here - P is taking her time putting weight on, despite feeding really well, so we spent a night in hospital last week while she had blood tests done. Was bloody heartbreaking watching them poke and prod her with needles, but the results have, for the most part, come back okay, save for a touch of jaundice that she still has. Hopefully that will start to clear soon.

Hope everyone else is well, and that all your bumps are blooming :) xxx

loopy Hehehehe @ "welcome to my world".......jeeze toe curling sore nipples I remember them well OUCH!
Big waves to everyone.....off for my 32 week appointment later!!
Lovely to see mummya (how's the morning sickness.... A distant memory I hope).......and tigger joining the gang....did you watch the programme about multiples? Any good? I missed it......
Better get my ass in gear....back later

appleblossoms · 16/05/2011 08:44

Hurray for mummya and tigger arriving! Lovely to see you both here.
pink the only reason we bought a new buggy for ds was because everything else was secondhand and I wanted to choose something! If you look in the instructions I think the fabric for most buggies can come off and be washed if you're bothered...or get one of those pram liner things.
We spent the weekend rearranging bedroom furniture and putting up the crib. DS thinks it's a car as it has wheels, so have to teach him not to climb in it...oh dear!
crochet any more signs? What did mw say?
On my phone now and i've forgotten what everyone else has been up to...will check back later for a proper catch up.

owlbooty · 16/05/2011 09:12

Holy crap Nix we are in the top half of the list Shock

I would've bought a second hand pram but couldn't find the teeny tiny pram I needed second hand; I guess people don't sell them much and it's the only one I know of that will fit in the boot of my little car. So I am having to buy new. Am def. on the lookout for a second hand cot though and have a second hand moses basket already.

MummyAbroad · 16/05/2011 13:35

hi everyone, thanks for the warm welcome. Urban morning sickness all gone thank god. Of course it sent me running for a scan they day it dropped off, but all was well.

Feeling very Sad about Dach's news on freakout thread. Is she in here too? Really feeling for you today honey xxx

nickstermum · 16/05/2011 16:34

Thinking of Dachs on here too.... really hoping and praying for a miracle.

OrangeGloss · 16/05/2011 17:18

Will catch up later, just to say I didn't know about Dachs, I really hope they get that miracle :( xxxxx

hotnspicyonions · 16/05/2011 17:41
Emoo · 16/05/2011 21:42

Gosh it's been a while - sorry ladies!

Congrats Loopy - lovely to see such a happy ending after such a stormy beginning for you.

I've been kind of burying my head in the sand really... it seems an awfully long time between my 14-wk post-NT appointment and now, but nothing's happened, nothing's changed, no bleeding, no anything really. That's good, of course... but I've not been freaking out, so have not felt I've belonged in the FO room, and I've not been feeling "real" about the whole pregnancy thing so I've not really belonged here either. But this week, I think I've felt the odd wriggle, and I have a scan later in the week to have a look, so it's starting to feel real again, and I thought I'd pop back to see how you are all getting on. Amazing to see how everyone's moved up on the list... lots of people into the zone of viability - hooray (subject close to my heart), and lots more stapled down from the FO room .

I'm guessing Dachs is looking more in the FO room at the moment, but if you're lurking here too, sending my very very best wishes. xx

nickstermum · 17/05/2011 07:35

you are right,it is fab to see so many off the TTC thread reaching viability and passing each milestone..its been a long journey for many and great to see so many getting there but equally sad that many havent yet, or have experienced a longer journey than others.

Glad you are starting to feel something.. it gets pretty real then doenst it?
Owl cannot believe we are in the top half of the list.... have you started to think about mat leave yet?

Wanted to ask.. I work for a pretty fab company, but they havent done a risk assessment with me.. does anyone know the ins and outs before i google? Do they have a responsibility to do that? I am assuming yes - but have heard nothing from HR as yet at 28 weeks. Still trying to clarify with them my holidays etc... seemingly effing useless!!

Seems a bit shallow posting this at a time with whats happening in the freakout room and Dachs situation... (and Dachs if you are lurking you are very much in my thoughts). i could do with some advice if anyone can help?

owlbooty · 17/05/2011 09:57

They should have done a risk assessment as soon as you confessed you were updiffed. That is their responsibility. Poke them!

Your holidays should continue to be accrued during your mat leave. And yes, I've started to think about it and I have 37 working days to go, Nix - blinking heck.

Emoo I've got a stapler and I'm not afraid to use it. It will all start feeling very real soon - I think it hit home for me about where you are now, after the 20 week scan.

Have posted to Dachs on t'other fred but will send her a big hug on here as well x

DoubleDiffedDachs · 17/05/2011 21:12
tiggersreturn · 17/05/2011 21:32

We're all thinking of you Dachs.

Nix - I looked this up as my rather huge company took a while to get things in gear and this is something they have to do promptly and it must be more than just a paper exercise. So nothing is definitely not good enough
