loopy that sounds fabulous - congratulations!!! Grin

appleblossoms · 13/05/2011 07:33

Congratulations loopy!!! Grin

So glad it all worked out so well, even down to getting the mw you wanted. Hope you had a peaceful night and are currently enjoying those newborn snuggles.

crochetcircle · 13/05/2011 07:53

Congrats loopy on the new arrival - what a great HB too! Lovely news.

apples we are now scarily close to the top - eek! How's it going? I had a little show yesterday and last week but nothing else seems to be going on. Some websites say this can happen anytime in the third trimester, so I guess it doesn't mean anything. I'm going to check with the MW this morning.

littlemiss72 · 13/05/2011 08:07

Wooohooo! Congrats Loopy Well done you x x x Grin

DoubleDiffedDachs · 13/05/2011 08:30

loopy That's fab! Congratulations. Hope you are enjoying lots of snuggles Grin

appleblossoms · 13/05/2011 09:00

ooh crochet that is exciting! I've never had a show, didn't get one (or at least didn't notice) with DS. Let us know what the MW says. I'm doing good, lots of pain at the bottom of my bump, MW says it's due to the muscles/body generally being more stretched in a second pregnancy...so I'm really hoping it's not too much longer now. we are VERY scaringly near the top....can't believe it's this close now!

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 13/05/2011 09:05

loopy I am so so glad you got the homebirth you wanted and everything went well :) congratulations! [now move your behind over to bookyface and join us in planning a certain get-together!]
So pleased for you, am all :o :o :o

Daisybell1 · 13/05/2011 09:34

Morning all!

FX for Tigger's arrival here later

Pink the appointment was interesting... I didn't really take to the counsellor, she didn't know anything about pre-natal depression (she confessed she was off to google it), was VERY giggly and talked a lot about her friends, but is going to send me work books on being a 'perfectionist' Hmm

Some bits she said made sense (me not wanting to fit into stereotypes, feeling that I've lost my identity very quickly ie going from single girl in steady relationship with own house, to pregnant farmer's 'wife' living with someone for the first time in 4 years). She was trying to reassure me that it was perfectly 'normal' to feel like this, however she emphasised that this so much, it felt like she was trivialising my feelings. Does this make sense?

I'm now holding out more hope for the scary psychiatrist - it doesn't feel like this counselling will actually 'sort it'

CaribouMoo · 13/05/2011 10:19

Congrats again Loopy, so glad everything worked out well for you with your little one and you got your much deserved home birth. Hope you are both doing well today, did you decide on a name for her yet?

Clare its almost me, Tigerbear is next. After all my cramps and BH this time last week nowt much happening now so looks like the wee man will be politely waiting his turn!

tiggersreturn · 13/05/2011 10:56

Hello I'm ready to be added.

Tiggersreturn babies #2&3 20+3 wks EDD 26 Sept.

For those who don't remember me I was tigger15 the longest serving member of the mc list with no bfp so I have my 2nd erpc anniversary coming up rather soon.

Congratulations to all who've had babies recently. Loopy I'm deeply envious of your homebirth - something I'll never get on grounds of being majorly high risk even prior to the twins.

Wombat33 · 13/05/2011 13:07

And yey for fab 20 weeks scan tigger and twins !!! Grin

owlbooty · 13/05/2011 13:09

Tigger Hoorah! So glad the mini-tiggers are both doing well :)

tiggersreturn · 13/05/2011 13:21

Thanks Loopy you do remember correctly. It's rather nice to catch up and overtake with all those people who've been acting as if I know nothing about kids because ds doesn't have a sibling and therefore I'm not worthy of talking to.

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 13/05/2011 13:44

fab, tigger and nice to see you again!

Hello ladies,

Can I come in? I am 15 weeks today and am feeling movement ShockGrin so it kind of feels the right time to leave the freak out room.

I think I know lots of people in here, but some of you I havent seen since the MC thread months and months ago . For those of you who dont know me I've been on MN since my mmc in Mar 2010 which lasted for a record 4 months, and ended up with a diagnosis of Ashermans Syndrome a further 4 months after that. Treatment seems to have worked really well as I got pregnant really soon after and so far this pregnancy looks normal/low risk, fingers crossed everything continues that way.

MummyAbroad baby #2 15+0 wks EDD 4/11/11

congratulations loopy! Grin

Daisybell1 · 13/05/2011 15:53

mummmmmyyyyyya so fab to see you here!!

daisy can't remember which thread you were talking about your appointment on. Anyway FWIW I think you should request a different therapist-I think you've got to feel completely comfortable and relaxed and it doesn't sound like she was a good fit with you.

Exciting news people-I have suddenly developed a non-guts bump!!!! Grin Grin enough so that when I went out last night and met some people I hadn't seen for 18 months they knew I was diffed straightaway!!! YAY!!

Velvetcu · 14/05/2011 09:29

Yay for bumpage pink Grin

And while we are on the topic, people keep touching mine and I think it's bloody rude and i don't like it!! How do you stop it? Is it ok to tell people to get off??
