loops hurray for DH's understanding boss!! That is fab news! Having one less thing to worry about has to make a huge difference.

ivy glad to hear you're doing ok, looking forward to hearing more when you have a chance

Different hospital, same NHS trust so same no-tell policy. The little cheeky thing had its legs crossed today anyway!Am going to wait and see if curiosity gets the better of me over the next few weeks... Grin

Pink Whoop for the excellent scan! Tis lovely getting past that one, I think at 12 weeks I hadn't really appreciated how important the 20 week one would feel or how anxious I would get about it.

Loops I've got the pompoms out and am waiting for good results from your sweep - hope it goes well :)

28 week appt tomorrow with the MW. I am going to take Mr Boots along as I feel it would be constructive for him to actually meet a midwife at some point. Even though I know damn well it won't be this one that delivers Owlet. I have a pressing urge to rearrange maternity service provision in the UK. I am clearly in the wrong job at the moment :)

Just popping in to check for loopy's news, really glad DH is home now.

All well here, Jemima has unbelievably reached 16 weeks. Still not getting enough sleep due to farting issues (her, not me) but otherwise having a brilliant time.

Hope you're all doing well.

Have lurked/followed this thread all the way through. Tried to post a few times over last week to give you our news but carpal tunnel and an iPhone are not a good mix!!

Our beautiful daughter Libby arrived last Thursday. She was 36+6 and had a swift but traumatic entrance into the world. I only went to triage after projectile vomiting and noticing I was achy on and off. Had phoned on the insistance of my DP - MW clearly wondered why I was calling her as much as I was and told me to take a bath etc/see how I felt later in the morning. Something made me say that I wasn't sure of the presentation of the baby to which she said come in for a quick check.

Arrived hospital, she asked me to lie down - as soon as I did cue a tidal wave & waters went EVERYWHERE!!! I now had vague thoughts baby would be with us within next few days (still thinking it's all to kick off) as our local policy is to deliver by whatever means within 48hrs of waters going. MW not sure of presentation. Consultant called & did an internal - 7 cm dilated and madam shook her hand!! Hand & foot in birth canal cue EMCS. She arrived less than an hour after we did at triage. She was delivered breech, got stuck on the way out & was unresponsive when she finally did. They worked on her for 35mins then we finally met her.

Homebirth kit was due last week & they'd have been on call from tmrw!! The best laid plans & all that! Am sure I'm still in shock re her birth - we are getting a debrief in a few weeks so that'll hopefully slot a few vague memories into a clearer picture.

Thinking of you all esp LOOPY, VELVET & YRMOTB - Really looking frwd to hearing all your news - this time last year was v different for us - This summer's going to be fab :)
