Has ooodles of energy and nesting like crazy finally...!! Helps that my beautiful house is going on the Market this week!! We have bees nests in the loft, so that's set us back a bit... But even so ;)

Owl are we in the third trimester now?? Fab ;) and last night nixbean was a beastie and my belly was moving up and down hooray :) Ds today suggested that the new baby could sleep with him in his bed....very loving boy... "I love the new baby mummy " Grin

OrangeGloss · 08/05/2011 22:48

Pink I'm so sorry I hope I didn't make you worry by talking about movement :( I gather it isn't 'normal' to feel anything until gone 20 weeks, I'm sure minipink is just fine swimming around or kicking inwards so you can't feel it. Sorry to hear you have dog problems especially when it isn't yours :(
Hopefully Dachs and Daisy you'll feel some movement soon. Dachs what stuff from the Disney store?? [eager emoticon]
apples I'm sure you're being an awesome mummy. Good luck with your scan tomorrow and enjoy your sneaky peek :)
Nix hurrah for nesting! We liked the name Orla for a while but dh went off it, if you find a way of choosing/finding let us know! We had amazing fun watching my bump jump last night, twas magical
Owl good on you for complaining so she might not do it to someone else
Littlemiss I'm very Envy of your delivery and unpacking it all
Daisy it looks cool! I saw some animal-type stuff a bit similar I quite liked as we don't know the flavour, but even if we knew I wouldn't be buying girly-girl stuff as that just isn't my taste
Loopy I'm sending you good vibes, and hope your dh will get to be present

My nesting is kinda starting in that I've been clearing stuff out and buying storage boxes. Not bought anything else but itching to buy some teeny clothing, maybe next weekend .....

Morning all, I've updated the list from last Monday and + 1 wk for all - hopefully it right Confused worryingly I'm moving up that dam list fast..!

How you all doing on this fine Monday morning? I've had almost no sleep!! DH is traveling with business again and I don't seem to sleep well without him these days. Thumper was very active yesterday I was sure a backflip was on the cards.. talking of movement pink try not to worry by 24wks thumper was doing the mexican wave - nothing much until then Wink

Orange I'm on week 2 of maternity leave and decided to take 4 weeks holiday beforehand so officially on holiday until 1st June which is when maternity leave kicks in. In all honesty I'm not sure I could have done another week of traveling into the office so leaving when I did was the right decision. Everyone is different however and it also depends on the type of job you have and the maternity benefits of the company you work for. Remember you can always change your mind if you need to leave earlier Wink

I have a long day waiting for the delivery men.. I'm under strict instruction not to unpack and put the pram together until DH gets back Wednesday. I bet can't contain myself lol.

Hang in there loopy plenty of rest for you! Exciting times ahead x

Happy Monday, love to all x

Daisybell1 · 09/05/2011 10:59

Morning all!

Thank you for the reassuring comments about the car fabric - am very taken with it (and all the others in the range and Pink yes, I've seen the gro-bag - I want one for myself!)

Pink I spoke to my CMW this morning - she said that them going quiet for a few days is perfectly normal for our weeks, and if they turn round so that their feet are facing inwards, then movements will be very muffled for a while. Mine has also been just lying there at the scans - I ended up tipped up on the bed, feet in the air, head on the floor whilst coughing to try and get it to move last time (which it didn't).

Velvet of course I'll keep you posted! Spoke to the CMW about it as I was a bit worried they'd force drugs down me. She was very reassuring, and said that it may be they want to 'book me in' to their system so that I'm already on the books if I have a dip, and I'll have a management plan in my notes so that they all know how to look after me. She told me to be honest, and not to be scared of saying how I'm feeling, if they know, then they can help.

Thank you Owl!

Orange have hit major obsessive nesting here this morning - all the kitchen cupboard contents hauled out, the good stuff kept, the bad stuff replaced with my things or junked. And I now have a dedicated man drawer Grin

Love Orla too, and Iona! We're more or less set on Philippa Alice (Pip was a rejected sheepdog pup name, and its kind of stuck). Boys names are a bit more tricky - we need something which isn't out of place in a remote Pennine community, but doesn't condemn the poor child to a life of turnip farming - friends are having Seth but that's just toooo pitchforks for us. I like Alfred (gives options of Freddie, Fred, Alf) and Alistair, OH likes Jamie which I'm not so keen on, but I'd happily go for Matthew after OH and his Grandfather.

Sorry, that turned into a name sharing post - don't dare ask what the Baby Names board think!

Loops thinking of you and crossing my legs in sympathy - hugs

Envy at Little Miss's shopping splurge.

CaribouMoo · 09/05/2011 15:08

Feck, I've left it far too long between visits and am bound to have missed someone's important news. Firstly, Loops been thinking about you, you seem to be keeping calm and in good spirits. Hope the sweep will do its job and you aren't left hanging on for too much longer - and that DH dashes back at the right time.

Wombat that's fab news about your scan and your little girl, how exciting! Good to see Izz and Babes popping by, we'll keep some seats warm for you lassies. Orange I've have been told I'm massive one minute and very neat the next - I think people sometimes just neeed to fill silences! What do they know anyway, its all totally subjective.

Apples thanks, I'm well. I did promise to get some bump pics up on facebook to lots of friends and relatives that I don't see - its only taken me to week 38 to get around to it! As I said to Jolls on FB, those photos were taken in the tidy parts of the house on purpose - not in the bomb site bits! You're not at all far behind me, you had any more of those pains? Hope the scan goes well.

Nicks I too am in baby name hell. We only have 2 choices, one of mine which DH thinks is ok and vice versa. DD hates them both and declared them 'ludicrous' - yet her preference is Emily... I really thought that by now something would have grabbed me. It distresses me because I don't want the wee man to be lumbered with a half hearted choice. I have trawled bloody websites and books and am no further forward. Girls names are great in comparison.

Littlemiss sounds like you are in the zone! I actually haven't managed any proper nesting yet - DD's old room is in a state with baby bits and pieces lying all over the place. I'm really finding bending down and getting off the floor a complete chore. I guess he'll be sleeping in with us for the first wee while anyway to give me time to get it sorted.

Daisy go for it with your choice. Our DD is not a girly girl, her favourite colour is green and her wee room reflects her choices and tastes. This might all change as she gets older but I'm proud of her non-conformity at the moment!

Pink it is really frustrating I know, I was certain this time I would feel movement sooner. Got the bubbles around 18 weeks and proper movement about 20ish - so not unheard of to have to wait until later with your first. Annoying though I know!

I almost got excited a few days ago - was getting lots of BH and cramps on Friday and Saturday but its all calmed down again. At the MW today she reckons the baby's head is now making its way into the pelvis so hurrah for that. I have turned into a raging hormone beast, so crabbit and getting full of rage though. My belly button is starting to stick out too which didn't happpen last time!

Velvetcu · 09/05/2011 19:46

Ladies;
I'm going to visit mamaps wine bar/restaurant at some point in the next couple of months. Let me know if you want to come and I'll get organising a meet.

Also, I think I'm ready (deep breath) to join the list -
Velvetcu - baby#1 15+6 wks EDD 25th October

DoubleDiffedDachs · 09/05/2011 21:19

Yay for velvet's brave list joining :)

DoubleDiffedDachs · 09/05/2011 21:21

moo yay for exciting happenings. Not yay for rage though. :) Hope the hormones settle soon

DoubleDiffedDachs · 09/05/2011 22:20

feeling really miserable tonight, so sorry for venting - I know this isn't the right place.

The person we asked to be godmother to our little boy has said no, and the only other female person we know who'd be a good godmother we have already asked to be godmother to our little girl. So we're a bit stuffed now. We're ok for godfathers but I don't really have that many real life friends - most of the people I know are just work acquaintances rather than friends. So am feeling friendless and alone and useless and crap and unlikeable.

And DH has been out a work thing all evening and is now stranded in London because the trains are buggered.

And to top it all off I appear to have killed two threads because nobody has posted on either of them since my last posts.

randomimposter · 09/05/2011 22:23

who said that...?

DoubleDiffedDachs · 09/05/2011 22:29

thanks jolls Grin

i know i'm being v silly but things are just really getting to me this evening. i blame hormones...

PinkFondantFancy · 09/05/2011 22:31

Awww dacha big hugs for you. I'd be frustrated too-why on earth did they say no? I think we'll have a similar problem-it's important to me to get my child christened but none of our friends are religious which defeats the object and anyway I think you have to have been baptised to be a godparent. So it'll end up being family which makes us look a bit friendless too! Come to mamap's bar-I'd like to be your friend!! :)

pink have already signed up with velvet for the mamap trip :)

Not sure how possible it will be to get there from here, but am intending to come if I can

They said no because they've already got 8 godchildren and didn't want any more. Which seems like a perfectly reasonable excuse. but I just don't have anyone else. :( I know it sounds silly but I it just never occurred to me that they would say no. I'd be thrilled if someone asked me to be a godmother to their child.

DoubleDiffedDachs · 09/05/2011 22:39

thanks loopy

you're all fab Grin

Hi lovely ladies been lurky lurking......been off today woke with a very wet 4yr at 6am who after stripping was of course wide awake & full of chat as we I tried to get another few mins.....no chance.....yummy clean sheets tonight!
velvet fab your ready to join.. owl I'm sure will be round later with her staple gun!!
Whoa! moo can remember way back when you got your BFP and then apples jeeze look where u guys are now......(big cheesey grin)
loopy hope your not too uncomfortable....& everything goes the way YOU want!
orange deciding when to go on maternity is tricky last time I think I went too early as ds was a week late..... This time I want to keep as much as poss for when baby is actually around, so hope I will last till 37+3 girls in work think I'm mad......work in retail so on feet 8hrs a day, I'll also have 5 weeks hols to take so that should take me to feb 2012!! Sounds ages but it just goes so quick, but yeah it's hard to decide esp when you just don't know how mobile you'll be by the end of the week......

Ok started this an hour ago now tucked up in those fresh sheets with little lolly doing some acrobats!!!
Don't worry to all those yet to feel baby, it will happen & it's just the best thing ever....even if it keeps u awake....amazing love it!!
Very jealous of all the nesting going on I can't wait to start cleaning the pram an getting all the baby grows out to wash...however that won't be happening any time soon, since I'm barely managing to keep on top of anything.....
Wishing you all a lovely day tomorrow.....will be lurking for rest of week, next day off is sat and have tons to do this week...xx

PinkFondantFancy · 09/05/2011 22:49

dacha I would be thrilled too, but can see that 8 is a lot. What about having the godmother to your little girl to be godmother to them both?

Oh BTW thanks for all the reassurance about movement lovely ladies, I am SO impatient though!!! DH gets frustrated with me because at every stage I'm wishing my life away for the next stage instead of enjoying the stage I'm at.

DoubleDiffedDachs · 09/05/2011 22:53

i didn't know she already had 8 when I asked :) I could have the other godmother for both, but we're going to have separate godfathers, so it might be a bit weird. Will have to start rethinking the whole godparent situation. :)

UrbanLolly · 09/05/2011 22:54

Hormones suck.......! Been pondering over that one too.... No suitable friends....& I really don't want to ask my other sis....would it look really bad if I asked my twin again?? But since it took us 2.5 years to get ds christened......I think I'm way ahead of myself!!!!
Hope hubby gets home to administer some hugs till then (((((())))))
