WestYorkshireGirl · 12/01/2011 22:15

Congratulations Gilda and great name! RHG and Toomuchteaching hope there's some action soon. Nothing much happening here apart from lots of kicks!

Meita · 12/01/2011 22:23

Congratulations Gi1da! So glad to hear you're both home and well. Great name! Now I hope you're getting lots of cuddles and are being properly cared for!

As I keep saying, we might not like sections but thank god they can be done if necessary. I too am irrationally jealous of a natural birth (though it's fading now) but when I think about it I'm just grateful that they cut him out when they did, as we both might not have made it otherwise.

CaribouMoo · 12/01/2011 22:50

Hurray for Gilda and baby Ren!! So glad to hear all is well, hope you didn't have too hard a time. Fab news, everyone has been rooting for you x x

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 12/01/2011 23:02

AlbaDeTamble · 12/01/2011 23:31

Hurrah for Gilda, that's quick to be home after a CS? I'm guessing you had quite a time of it. And I'm looking at your time of birth... Less than an hour before my contractions woke me, so my little chap really was being a gent and waiting his turn Wink Grin!

Thanks all for such lovely messages, can't namecheck, got to feed and not up to posting through feeds like SamB just yet!

appleblossoms · 13/01/2011 07:56

Oh Gi1da congratulations!!! Sounds like you had a bit of an adventurous labour, hope your recovering at home with lots of squidgy baby snuggles!

and Alba don't think I've congratulated you yet! Hope all is going well... oh tiny newborns, tis all exciting on this thread at the mo. Grin

The big news in the apple household is that DH got to feel the baby move last night...was really exciting, but isn't this ridiculously early? It's now got me a little worried that I'm either having a maHOOOsif bubba or an even more active monkey than my DS. Did anyone else have outside movements this stupidly early? I hadn't even felt DS move myself at this point in his pregnancy.

How's everyone else doing this morning? any more signs of impending births?

BunnyBaby · 13/01/2011 08:44

gilda well done and congratulations! Xxx

Unbuffy · 13/01/2011 13:09

HOORAY Gilda! I checked last night, had a 'feeling', and there you were! Many many congrats, and welcome to the cs survival club... Love the name and hope you're feelnig better at home. Enjoy the babymooning x

PenguinsMummy · 13/01/2011 13:26

Many congrats Gilda

WestYorkshireGirl · 13/01/2011 15:30

Woke with cramps 6.30 this morning, contractions been coming and going since. MW was coming for scheduled ante-natal anyway - apparently in pre-labour. Just lost mucous plug. Have TENS - will travel.

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 13/01/2011 15:31

Good luck WYG!

dorcas111 · 13/01/2011 16:09

WYG! How exciting! The babies are coming thick and fast now- just hope my little one is as obliging! (Although if they could wait till after this weekend that would be perfect as still a few jobs left to do around the house...)

clareanna · 13/01/2011 17:24

woohoo! good luck Wyg hope things get going soon - update us as soon as you can
!!

HappyGirl1 · 13/01/2011 17:31

Huge huge big congratulations gilda - absolutely delighted for you and a lovely name too! Hope you are recovering well from the emcs - i'm only now starting to slightly feel better after my emcs and still got an infection so basically it takes time but it is worth it a zillion trillion million times over!

Best of luck wyg looking forward to hearing ur news!

Lotta123 · 13/01/2011 18:51

Went for an extra blood test today because I'm really itchy at night.

Might mean I have OC

www.ocsupport.org.uk/about.html

Now feeling rather worried about baby because it can cause stillbirth.

Midwife has told me to go to hospital if baby stops moving.

Won't know results until Tuesday but the midwife has said she'll phone either way.

Gah.

Sorry for the sorry for myself post.

nickstermum · 13/01/2011 19:05

lotta my friend had that and they induced her 2 weeks early. Baby was fine, had a little jaundice but other than that no probs.

I would have thought they would want to closely monitor you? ((hugs))

Lotta123 · 13/01/2011 19:27

Thanks Nickster. Makes me feel better to hear your friend was induced at 38 weeks as I'm at 36 weeks so if I do have it then hopefully it'll be caught in time.

I think what's worried me is how chilled out my midwife was about it versus how seriously the hospital midwife took it all.

If test is positive the hospital will monitor me closely.

Just wish I'd insisted on a blood test when I saw my midwife last week.

Have decided to tidy bits of the house tonight to take my mind off it all. Bathroom cabinet looks much better already.

nickstermum · 13/01/2011 21:11

Lotta ive come back on to say i hope you didnt think my post was insensitive or dismissive! I really didnt wish to come over that way.. but possibly did! (one eye on DS, one eye on laptop and propping eyes open with matchsticks after yukky week at work!)

Its worrying, hopefully all being well the test will come back negative :) then you can relax for a couple of weeks. Great that they will monitor you closely though, if it were me I would take my campbed upto the maternity unit Grin xx

I found bleaching the tile grout in the bathroom with a toothbrush therapeutic when i was waiting for the onset of labour Hmm Grin

apples great you have a wriggler, all the more reassurance you need xxx

gilda i hope you are recovering nicely and iccle Ren is settling nicely x

WYG - best of luck x
