Shock Shock Magic - i'd be proper grumpy too! You have every reason to be! I hated the last few weeks, could NOT cope if it was that many 'last few weeks' - you are acshly Wonderwoman, aren't you? Go on, you can tell us!

MiniBuff is currently sleeping Grin as is his big sis so i have 10 minutes to myself for once. Two is very hard when dh is at work, think i'm getting the hang of it and then bang, another night with no sleep and it all gets tough again. But. He's lovely and i'm a cooing/crying hormonal mess...
cs scar seems to be taking longer to heal than with dd, prob due to labour as well and having to do more not just sit and relax lots Hmm. Can't wait for the pain to go away so it can all get back to 'normal' [self pitying emoticon].

Unbuffy · 11/01/2011 13:19

Grin VIV xpost! Think positive, slings are wonderful things if babaviv has tipped up by then and imagine the fun if it hasn't and starts to come in the middle, you could name it after them all (although Garyella Jasona Roberta etc might not go down well in a girl, might hate you forever...)

Praps i should get on with stuff while It's asleep rather than mning? I might come accross as a weird stalker type...

VivClicquot · 11/01/2011 13:22

Hahahaha. Garyella is AWESOME.

Babaviv will definitely be here though. Due date = 2nd May. Concert ticket = 4th June. If I go overdue, I suspect I'm out of the game, so fingers crossed Gary(ella) is early...!

lucysnowe · 11/01/2011 13:42

Orange ah so sorry to hear it wasn't completely positive news. The 23rd is a long time to wait, hope things aren't too stressful till then. Hopefully during that time you'll have no more incidents (except lots of lovely symptoms) and so will be all set for positivity. All my fingers crossed for you.xx

CaribouMoo · 11/01/2011 19:33

Alba well done and many congrats, that's fab news! What a good little boy and brilliant having Lia to see you through. Can't wait to hear from Gi1da too and TMT and RHG when the time comes!!

Orange, left a message for you on the other thread a few days ago - been thinking about you and holding out for some good news for you.

8s I don't know how you are managing it. I'm starting to get really tired already and little things like bathing DD, generally running about after her are so much more tiring than I had anticipated!

nickstermum · 11/01/2011 20:04

Viv that reminds me i may well have to flog my tickets! If this bean sticks i will be 7+ months...standing tickets Hmm Bugger

PV waves madly
owls well done for posting Grin i too am refusing to go on the list! I was so desparate for clothes the other day for my weeny pot belly that i popped on MAt jeans.. but promptly took em right off again..tempting fate before scan!!! will live in leggings just a big longer!

Ive gone off weetabix, which has been my staple for the last month...7/8 a day Blush (hence i have put on a stone fatcow lardarse!) and i still cant eat chocolate AngryGrin

magic fab that they are both head down and ready...are you going to have a section or go for it?!

Waves to all xx

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 12/01/2011 01:54

Wide awake.........couldn't stop thinking about the washing up in the sink so had to get up........although having to do the washing up in shifts of about 5 items at a time due to heavy bumpage Confused

Hoping Gi1ds is ok and that those of you way up top are very close to meeting your bubs. xxx Anyone watch One Born Every Minute?

nickster bless you with your mat jeans, don't worry about tempting fate as long as you are comfortable although I live in leggings and can recommend George Maternity ones £6 - bargin! Seeing anesthetist next week and it will depend on what they think plus my growth scans but I think realistically it will be a c-sec as they prefer to deliver ID twins this way.

Moo running after LOs is hard work. Lots of cuddles, stories and Disney has helped on my worst days or activity/sticker books and those easy cook just add an egg cake packs.

Back to next stint of washing up.............

appleblossoms · 12/01/2011 09:18

Oh dear, I've missed so much again! I kept meaning to post...and every time I sat down to do it something came up...and now it's been AAAGES.

There's no way I can catch up with everything that's been happening so, I'm just going to do a general "hello all" and start again. Grin

orange I've got my fx for you...hope the next ten days or so pass quickly without any more scariness...really hope it all works out for you hun, what a horrid start to it all.

Oh magic, I did have a little giggle at the thought of you with a huge bump madly washing up at 1 in the morning! You poor thing. Are you really uncomfortable? I always quite liked the idea of twins, but I have to say...I'm really quite glad I only have one to contend with having followed your posts!

nixynix hope you do get to go to TT, maybe once you're past the 12 weeks it would be worth getting in touch with the venue and asking whether there's anything they can do to help? Last thing they'd want is a pregnant lady getting all faint and wobbly in the middle of the standing bit. Sorry about not being able to eat chocolate, that's rubbish! I couldn't drink coffee, which made me very sad as i LOVE a scrummy real coffee mid afternoon...even the decaff beans made me feel sick. Pleased to report all is back to normal now!

VivClicquot · 12/01/2011 10:28

I never watched the previous series of One Born Every Minute as everything was still raw after my two losses.

Switched it on on Monday night, just as The Screamer (TM) was in full flow. I am mentally scarred, and point blank refusing to watch it again.

Wink

Also thinking of gilda and hoping everything's okay with miniG x

toomuchteaching · 12/01/2011 12:02

Morning all...

Still no news here. Had period pains through the night on Monday night, then nothing all day Tuesday, then in the evening they were really bad again so DH persuaded me to take some paracetamol (after a drug free pregnancy - totally not my style!) and I slept better than I have in a week, bliss. But nada again this morning. Angry

Sweep booked for tomorrow, and I'm actually desperate for someone to have a poke around in there just so I can know what's going on. I so wouldn't have said that a few weeks ago Grin.

Sorry for the me me me-ness... this waiting becomes a bit all-consuming, watching for every sign, much like the early crazy knocker-checking days. But I am thinking lots of Gi1da and hoping all is well and you're just busy enjoying cuddles. And orange too... hope your wait passes quickly and quietly.

Waves to everyone else.

clareanna · 12/01/2011 12:13

viv thought The Screamer was very Biscuit
screaming like that is not the best way to deal with the pain at all , so would think she was actually making things worse for herself by doing that!!

apple glad things going well for you - not long til the 20 week scan!

toomt hopefully you've been quietly contracting and when you have your sweep you'll be 2cm dilated already FX for you!

RHG any news?

baby brother will be 4 months old when I go to see TT in Manchester, so I've got my breast pump all ready to ensure a full supply is left at home and that I can deal with any boob issues while I'm there! (in a bid to prove he was still young, DH made me go to Gatecrasher when DS was 4 months old, I has to express in the loos.... I think i can safely say i was the ONLY person in that whole club doing that in the loos....!!!)

Redheadgal · 12/01/2011 12:47

Grin at Clareanna expressing in the loos at Gatecrasher!!

Going in for a sweep today sigh Got really excited when I returned from the reflexologist's yesterday, but nada. She's just too comfy.

Gi1da - thinking of you hon. Hope all's well with you and miniGi1da!

Jollster, Cheepz, Freezing, BarrenBrook, MsJL, LadyBee, Banana87, BatteryHen, HairyTriangle and Waterplate

We have gotten to be so many...how fabulous!

Now, for the name checking...

Toomuch I hope you are ok this morning and contracting nicely, it won?t be long now either way. I was terribly self absorbed at the end when I was just desperate to see my baby, I think that you?ve been far more restrained than I was. Moan away, better to get it off your chest and everyone loves to help and post words of support and comfort anyway. I?m quite jealous of you actually, now that it?s a while ago I can?t wait to do labour again. Weird I know.

Viv I can?t believe you are 24 weeks already! When did that happen??? I just watch One Born this morning (I was in tears before the programme had started properly Blush). If it helps you in any way I have not screamed like that in any one of my three labours. I bought ante-natal hypnotherapy cd?s which I used extensively in labour. As a result I was quite insular as it requires focus and concentration. If I stopped focussing on it then I found it more difficult to regain composure for the next contraction. As an aside I would highly recommend then as pain management, it was excellent and I?ll be using them next time.

Hi Jolls - how are things with you? I love the way you drop in, it?s always lovely to ?see? you!

Magic As ever I am in awe of you with two littlies and a 41 week bump at 30 weeks. I too always liked the idea of twins but you?ve put me off. Good thing too as it would be a disaster if baby number four turned out to be four and five all rolled in one! You are getting close now too, it?s really exciting!

Nickster LOL at you with the maternity jeans. Be comfy, I wore maternity clothes from about ten weeks (slightly overate to alleviate the sickness early on...). I figured that if it all went wrong later there wasn?t anything I could do, but I could be comfortable at work in the meantime. Actually though, I have to say that I felt like an eejit shopping for them. Towards the end I wished I bought more clothes. I got so sick of wearing the same things. In retrospect I wish I?d splashed out a bit more.

Orange Fingers crossed for the 23rd. It must feel like an age away, I hope you are managing to stay sane. At the moment you are pregnant and there is still a chance that all will be well. I?m thinking of you, it?s a tricky time.

Buffy Hope your scar heals a bit more soon, it?s tough being uncomfortable. Glad to hear you are getting on ok even if you are a bit sleep deprived. I still sleep in the day when Ruby does and the others are all at school. It?s bliss!

Louise So sorry to hear your news hun, it?s great that everything is working properly and hopefully next month will be yours. I think of you very often and wonder how you are getting on.

I think I may have spotting an owl and mrspv even if they thought they were stealth like... {whispers welcome and crosses fingers}

A big hello to everyone else and sorry I haven?t name checked you all. All well here, Ruby is doing very well and is now 12 weeks old. The time has just flown on by! She had a horrid phlem situation over Christmas and was a bit poorly but I think we are through the worst of it now. Nasty choking situation though, yuk. She is currently in the sling on my front while I sit and type ? we have a Kari-me sling which I love, I?d highly recommend it. It does look a bit complicated from the instructions but it?s nothing that you tube can?t remedy. I got the hang of it really quickly. I am being interviewed for a much more senior position at my school later this month so am trying to express milk every day to leave for dh on the day. My boobs do not like the breast pump, they like my baby. What a trial. I don?t know how I feel about going back to work though. At the moment if I get the new job I will go back but if I don?t I will become a sahm as it?s not worth it financially on my current pay.

Anyhow, this is the longest post ever and I am starving. In fact I?ve been sitting here so long the heating has gone off, it?s freezing! SB x

toomuchteaching · 12/01/2011 14:17

Oooh SamB lovely to hear from you, and well done on the list... you don't have to you know! Just wanted to say thanks for the contraction wishes, and to find out what you're being interviewed for? I think I'm feeling a titchy bit work-deprived, which is stupid given how ready I was to finish. Glad things are going so well with Ruby and that she's better, she sounds a dream, and time is flying. Oh I can't wait.

Must dash, MIL has taken the afternoon off to come and have a cup of tea with me, she's driving up from Hampshire bless her. Cue manic tidying though!

SamanthaB123 · 12/01/2011 15:11

TooMuch When I went on maternity leave I was all over the place. I felt quite 'meaningless' without having to go work and was a bit wobbly. Even after Ruby was born I still felt like that on occasion. It seems to have passed now as I'm getting more into life at home. Some days (like today) I feel like a bit of a slave...I do a lot of cleaning and ironing and it can get me down. trouble is, I can't bear it to be messy! I'm being interviewed for Deputy Head. I have to teach, observe someone else teach and give feedback, write a letter to a parent, write a school action plan and be interviewed. Ooof. How are you today- any contractions?

OP posts:
Unbuffy · 12/01/2011 15:15

Hi all, no namechecks just big waves (and giggles at Clareanna...)

Lovely to hear from you SamB, glad all is going well Smile. We too had phlegm over Christmas, cue snotty boobs (yum) every time he tried to feed and much coughing and throwing up and chocking, it's all fun eh?

I do hope all is well with Gilda, and the lack of news is due to an excess ofsnuggles - thinking of you x

Tmt I HATED the waiting at the end! Rant as much as you like, it SUCKS and you have much sympathy - that is what we are here for after all Grin

I can't watch One Born atm as too emotional and irrationally jalous of natural birth Blush as I will now never experience one! Even though i know cs was the only option for both. ho hum!

Love and cake to all x

Love and cake to all

Unbuffy · 12/01/2011 15:17

Don't know why that repeated... brian, come home, all is forgiven!!

Gi1da · 12/01/2011 20:09

Hello to you wonderful ladies.

Just home from the hospital, feel like I have been locked in an alternative universe for ever and ever, and am a bit over-emotional at finally being home.

Our beautiful baby boy, who makes every second of it worth it, Ren Taylor MiniGilda, was finally delivered by emcs at 2.40 am on 10.01.11 (8lb 4oz).

Alba huge triumphant hugs to you! Have not read the thread yet, but I hope everything went wonderfully.

Lia, and everyone, thank you so much for your support while I was at home. I really enjoyed that part of it all.

Really looking forward to catching up with you all tomorrow. Love to all and hoping everyone is well and happy xxx

NewImprovedJollster · 12/01/2011 20:15

fantabulous news Gi1da... welcome to the emcs club Grin.

SamanthaB123 · 12/01/2011 20:18

Congratulations gilda! Bit pushed here but smiling for you, SB x

AH...clareanna pumping in the loos at gatecrasher Grin Grin Grin priceless! I loved my pump. DS was in SCBU for 7 days so i expressed for england for him and after using the hospital ones i had to get the dual electric one. T'was fab!

magic Grin at you getting up to wash up, thats the sort of thing i do...! Wow your bump measuring 42 weeks..fantastic! Will have a moooch round asda re their leggings, great tip! I was pg during diff season last time and so lived in comfy mat combats, but then sis robbed them all and i still feel like tempting fate asking her to go in her loft!! I know am daft, but i went to my scan last time in mat jeans, and refused to wear them again after i mc..squished myself into grubby joggers and filed everything away. Needless to say i am living in comfy leggings and a huge jumper that makes me look 20 weeks!!

Sam glad ruby is doing well, and over her bug, nowt worse than phlemmy nips! You are right though, lots of new clothes would be reat, have just started a new role this week, and go back FT on Feb 1st so could do with a splurge..maybe after the scan Grin if everythings ok!

apples 20 weeks jeez!glad its wriggling around and keeping you re-assured. Gone v quickly Grin fab news

gilda hope you are both ok xxx

Muser · 12/01/2011 20:28
