Grin at Clareanna - I sympathise. I gave up on my heels a while ago and have suffered the agony of walking past Poste Mistress every day on the way to work with the all lovely shoes waving at me and wondering why I'm ignoring them. [wistful sigh]

Had a trip to the maternity unit this evening unexpectedly - rang them as was rather damp down below and had to change pants 3 times in 30 mins, was sure it wasn't anyting but called them, they said to come in, it wasn't waters which is good news as means we can still have the ECV on Friday now.

Good thing is, that we both stayed super calm, got the bags in the car, got there no stress so at least we have had a mini trial run.

Sorry not to name check i'm shattered here yet don't want to go bed for some reason.

great the new thread is so busy and super big hi's to all and promise i'll do a proper name check again 2moro!

xx

Hello everyone, lovely new fred here... I've been reading and thinking my responses... don't suppose you all subliminally felt my replies? No? Oh well, time for phone typing then... Pls bear with the iPhone spelling mistakes, it has a mind of its own.

Lia, hope you're feeling a little better... I know you know this pregnancy lark backwards, but just reminding you it's all hormones going mad, I had some big downers round about 20 something weeks and I remember Unbuffy had been going through the same not long before... It was awful, but, as they say, 'this too shall pass'... Meantime maybe a few more of those Xmas mince pie slice thingies?

Loopy it seems like yesterday I was feeling just like you, far too early to be thinking about mat leave dates... Now all of a sudden I'm wondering how I'm going to fit my handover into the next two and a half weeks! Just a reality check for you on how exhausting it is near the end in case you're planning the superwoman working right up to the end plan... Easy to be optimistic if you're having a good 2nd trimester!!

Happy, not just me with the initially scary, then somewhat embarrassing trip to the delivery suite then! I did the same ten days ago... Mine was more of a gush... My pelvic floor obviously not as strong as I'd thought Blush. Always good to be reassured though. And as you say, useful to have the overnight bag ready (I have no baby bits yet though... Time for nappy shopping I think).
Very best of luck for friday's ECV, hope your little one's nice and co-operative.

Gilda, amazingly impressive namechecking! I doubt I'll get much further before my train gets to London Bridge and I have to hit post... On the slings... We had a baby bjorn last time... Both DH and DS loved it. Just the basic one... Ten a penny on eBay and used ones are much softer and nicer (machine washable too). We had a hammock type over one shoulder sling too, but have given it away and not looking for a new one. DH liked it but I'm concerned now with the suffocation warnings for that type. (and I found over just one shoulder quite uncomfortable). Love the fabric slings, I want a nice bright pink one! I know I'm having a boy, but it's me has to wear it too.....

Meita, you got me thinking again on GBS... I picked up a very detailed leaflet at the hospital so will ask the consultant tomorrow. If labour as fast as DS and my waters don't break till the moment of delivery again we'll be fine, it seems.. But any long protracted labour or early membrane rupture and I shall be requesting anti b's for sure.
And reminds me also to chase up results of swab they took on my recent trip into delivery suite. Though 50% false negative doesn't sound too good... So glad Ianto's fit and well.

Welcome inbetweener and appleblossom and emmywoo, apols if names spelt wrong, just lost connection and my history pages have blanked out... Suffice to say congrats to all and welcome to the worrying... Just bear in mind the most likely outcome is for all to be well and the best you can do for your babies is to 'keep calm and carry on'...

Viv was thinking of you when Take That were on telly at the weekend. I missed the big debut performance because DS chose the moment it started to start yelling for me (he's forgiven, has been quite poorly and was running a scarily high fever... All fine now thankfully). Were they good??

So much more to say, but nearly there now, so waves to all, to those I missed, and can I just say 'what Gilda said'??

And a special big hug for Louise whilst you wait for laptop to get fixed.

Morning awright! (I am in East Anglia you know)

It's been busy on here! Lovely to hear from people again... bit tired this morning despite one of the best night's sleep I've had for ages so I'll try to name check and see how far I get!

Hi Emmywoo hope you have a peaceful 9 months. I also mc at about 9 weeks and got preg next cycle: I took it as a sign it was meant to be. Cramping seems fairly normal, hope it settles and you can begin to believe.

Dorcas I am still getting the 'looking well' comment. Felt awful, but apparently looked ok- glossy hair or something I reckon Hmm- you're supposed to be 'fat' after all!

Magic spiderbabies, your scan sounds exciting. I can't remember, are they id twins or not?

Happy hope you managed to settle again last night. You and Alba have just inspired me to finish packing my bag. Especially as I've had TMI alert! Blush increased (though normal colour/smell etc) discharge and a couple of jelly/snot like lumps in the last 24 hours which from searches on here could be part of my plug beginning to break up? Am seeing mw tomorrow anyway!

Hugs for Louise and waves to everyone else.

And just in case anyone is in need: >

xx

Get well soon and hope you have a nice duvet day Loopy& & Littleloopy*

Sparkly def mention it to your m/w, esp as you are 33 weeks. Spiderbabies are identical Grin and we have no idea of flavour Clare & Redhead. My scans are crazy as it is just a mish mash of wriggling legs and arms especially as one is head down and the other breech. Thanks for asking after Magicsis Gi1da she & Magicnephew are doing well Wink

Good luck for your scan tomorrow Alba and Shock Blush on your old pelvic floors bless you (also thank you for the reminder!) x

OoooHappy on your mini trial run! Good luck for Friday.

Shattered today WIDE awake from 1-4 this morn so feel drained today and like need to eat constantly to boost my energy! H U N G R Y ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Thanks redheadgal, sparklyand alba.hope everyones well.still on dhs laptop so excuse mistakes!!!

Bad,bad day Monday could stop crying all seems so surreal at times .loads of conflicting emotions but overall sad, sad, sad.yesterday saw a friend for a few hours so that was nice.I've gone from a very busy fulfilled life to nothing wondering how to fill in the hours.how did this happen?

All my expectations, hopes and plans gone just like that.I don t want to be at work but also dont want to be at home.I expect this is all a normal part of grieving.

We re back at it swi!!!! Determined to get pg asap.got consultant appt tomorrow at 11am.post Mortom results won t be back until about 6-8weeks after Georgie so that's another 1-3 weeks to wait.

Next time I m pg I m going to treasure it I never realised last time how lucky I was after the crappy first 12weeks I should have enjoyed it all and not taken it for granted.

clareanna · 17/11/2010 21:37

Big hug to Louise sorry you had a really bad day on Monday x

I have managed to get a stinky cold and on top of that last night at 3am our cat jumped on our bed and threw up all over the duvet and cream carpet. Bad projectile sick. It smelt so bad that I promptly threw up twice as well. Defective cat cost £80 at vets today, and I have been advised to feed her boiled rice and chicken until we get blood tests back. Cat is now eating better than me.
Have worked from home today as feel dreadful. Plus side is that I've managed to spend the day feeling all kicks for a change!

Good luck loopy - my MW appointment is tomorrow and i'm swaying between fear and excitement and fear again at the prospect of trying to find the baby's heartbeat.

louise - sending you lots of love, but also lots of luck for TTC. :)

alba - TT on X Factor were downright amaze, but I have to say I'm not feeling the new album. Too much Owen and not enough Barlow for my liking, and they've gone all experimental. Am sure it will grow on me though!

clareanna - hope both you and the cat are feeling better today!

Love to everyone else xxx

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 18/11/2010 11:45

Hugs to Louise x

How did you get on at the mw Sparkly? and also Loopy? Hope your duvet day yesterday helped.

Clare our cats must be in sync as notsomagiccat puked our out bed this morning < Magic8 heads over the road to purchase furminator from local and ridiculously expensive pet shop>

Waves to Viv am sure all will be perfect with babycliq, keep calm and carry on Wink

dorcas111 · 18/11/2010 13:07

clareanna and magic what you need is a greedy labrador who can hear a cat puking from the other side of the house, even when in a deep sleep, races to the site and has cleaned it all up before you even get there...
Louise, I'm thinking of you. What you're feeling does sound like a 'normal' part of the grieving process, but it is still horrendously painful and I am so sorry you have to go through it. Lots of hugs and good luck with TTC.
Viv, good luck tomorrow, I know that feeling of fear/ excitement so well.
I was a bit weepy last night, I think it must be down to the due date of my last pregnancy being this saturday, perhaps it's starting to hit me. It's strange because do I feel happy at the moment and very blessed to be pregnant, but I keep having these waves of sadness too.
Hello, to everyone else, hope your day is going well. Right, off to swig down some more gaviscon.

Yuk, poor you Clareanna. And I thought our ratbag dog was disgusting on Monday- I managed to get her off our bed just in time so she was sick all over the landing carpet instead, nicely positioned at the top of the stairs (which was actually quite handy as I could kneel on them to clean it up- can't bend down!) Hmm. Dorcas I think all labs are the same, my parents' one would do that.

Anyway.....

Loopy how did your mw appointment go? Mine was fine except I forgot a sample and then she gave me the stick to wee on directly... let's just say I failed at that- which is now recorded in my notes! Grin Blush Little one kept wriggling away from her but he is head down and has begun to engage apparently. Measuring 35 weeks (!) and she wasn't bothered by my, ahem, discharge though if I get any with blood I am to ring her. She did keep saying 'you do know when to ring the hospital, don't you?' and went through early labour signs though Shock

Louise hope the better days begin to outweigh the really bad days soon x

Hope all goes well tomorrow Viv, waves to everyone else x

sparklyrainbow · 18/11/2010 14:26

xpost Loopy, glad all ok and sounds useful stuff. Make sure you do something nice on Sunday.

Forgot your delightful cat too Magic, hope no-one else's pets decide to be quite so charming...!

SamanthaB123 · 18/11/2010 14:33

Feeding again...really tired at the moment. Last night was 'busy'. Still battling with thrush too which is tiresome. Can I be forgiven for not namechecking again? I'm using my phone and I'm exhausted. I took Ruby to be weighed today and she is 8lbs 14oz (which is good). She is already a month old, where did the time all go? She is just so yummy, I love her so much. I am never going to want to go back to work...

I an really excited about there being new thread babies. I hope those at the top are alright, the last part is exhausting and a bit scary. Time to change sides, love to all, more later, Sam x

OP posts:
HappyGirl1 · 18/11/2010 15:45

All apologies for not name checking more, I'm just totally shattered for some reason.. I keep saying that to DH and he's like ' you are 9 months pregnant that's why you are tired' but it makes no sense sometimes you know!

Felt a little hand or foot today which was a bit bizarre as all i've felt so far is the head and back.. amazing really.

Sparkly excellent news that your appt went so well and fantastic that baby is head down and starting to engage.. that's perfect!

Sam you sound totally loved up - so so so cute.

loopy glad you are doing well

louise sorry to hear you are so down but that is natural i'm sure but excellent news that you are swi again Smile. Looking forward to hearing your good news in the not so distant future hopefully

dorcas i felt the exact same 3 weeks ago - i am obviously delighted to be pregnant but was very emotional and sad around what would have been my first due date.. still for some reason that wasn't meant to be and hopefully this one will work out well.

Okay managed to name check a bit there, sorry sorry sorry to anyone I've missed. Ready for a snooze here.

ECV tomorrow, quite nervous about it. Just want baby to be okay. I must say that about a hundred times a day. I'm really quite nervous about the ECV, in one way it'd be great if baby decided to come today (unlikely I know) as then the decision is taken out of my hands but we'll see.

have a lovely thursday evening all xx

Unbuffy · 18/11/2010 17:40

Just want to give Lia a big squeeze and say it gets better. Alba 'n' me both got the 22ish week blues, and I'm sure others did and complained less than i did!

And best of luck tomorrow for Happy. fx all the way

Well, we're still here, i have 20 days left to get this baby out myself before the medical profession stick their oar in (literally i belive... ouch...) so it's all systems gogogo, dh has been Assessed so is at my disposal, it's curry and sex tonight and walking up and down hills every day... Am getting really quite nervous about the whole thing, have not done this labour/birth thang before, Confused, must try to stay calm.

Apologies for memememe post, am really quite twitchy and can't sit still for nerves (and discomfort). Will try to keep up to date though...

toomuchteaching · 18/11/2010 18:36

Wow... this thread is going super fast, I just had to have a mammoth read. Name checking going to be limited by what I can remember from the past 15 minutes!

Happy good luck for tomorrow, I really hope they can turn the baby and it all goes smoothly so to speak. And viv hope your mw appointment goes well and you get to hear the heartbeat.

Loopy glad to hear it went well, and magic16 how exciting with your jumble of arms and legs.

Good luck with the curry/sex/hills combo unbuff, I hope it gets things moving!!

Special good luck swi vibes your way louise, I really hope it happens for you soon, you so deserve it.

Waves to sparkly, RHG, alba and Gi1da (some impressive namechecking all round) and to the newbies (hang in there, the first few weeks are tough but you'll get there) and anyone else I've missed.

As for me... NCT classes a-go-go, brilliant, I love them, highly recommend. And have still only managed half the Natal Hypno CD... it just sends me to sleep.

Have a lovely evening all, xx
