I was reading the times yesterday (annoying can't post link because now have to pay for their website) was article about women having her first baby at 30 and how all her friends were still waiting. Midwife said all first time mums generally under 20 or over 34 unless it was unplanned.

So - who here is on their first pregnancy, how old are you (and if you don't mind saying was it planned?) if its your second pregnant how old were you first time?

Just nosey really couldn't really believe that 30 was young for a first pregnancy...

I was 36. should have been 35 but had a miscarriage. Wasn't ready for a child before (not sure I'm ready now either!)

I was 21 when we had our first but that was 11 years ago (and I was 25 when we had our second).

I have just turned 27 and baby is due in 4 months. It was planned. I'm the first of my friends though. Smile

had my first at 32, i was the second from my group of friends at school to have a child (the first was only a few months previously)

I'll be 33 when LO is born, I haven't felt ready or responsible enough before now but it is an individual thing. Lots of my friends had their first borns in their late twenties.

I was 27, 31 and 39 (mine were well spaced!!) It made no difference imo (in terms of fitness or readiness, it is always a shock!!!)

My first 2 were planned at 29 and 31. No 3 was unplanned at 32!

My first were when i was 26, then dd at 30 and DS3 was born on my 32nd birthday!

I was 16 and it was planned i was having twins but lost them, ds1 was born when i was 17.

I had my son at 19, was planned and 3 years later everything is great, dont ever regret having him young :)

All my Dcs were planned, and i was 23, 25, and 29 when i had them. We have a tentative arrangement for a DC4 when i'm 34, but if we don't have another by the time i'm 35 we're stoping at 3!

I'm 24 with my first pregnancy. Wasn't planned as I was told I'd seriously struggle to conceive. Then got pregnant within about 2 weeks!
My sister's also 24 and pregnant with her first.

Might add that when we found out I was pregnant, within a few days DP told me he was planning no's 2 and 3 already!

I starting trying for my first baby when I was 23 but my body didn't want to produce one and I didn't get pregnant till I was 27, so was very much planned and waited for by the time she came. Am pregnant again with number 2 also very much planned and waited for and I am 31.

I'm 24, first is due in 7 weeks and he was planned.

My boss and a collegue are both 26 and pregnant, and both unplanned.
