I was reading the times yesterday (annoying can't post link because now have to pay for their website) was article about women having her first baby at 30 and how all her friends were still waiting. Midwife said all first time mums generally under 20 or over 34 unless it was unplanned.

So - who here is on their first pregnancy, how old are you (and if you don't mind saying was it planned?) if its your second pregnant how old were you first time?

Just nosey really couldn't really believe that 30 was young for a first pregnancy...

I'm 25 this month, expecting 1st baby in February (DH is 25). Planned.

We are by far the first of our age group/uni batch to start a family.

all planned
1st at 28
2nd at 29
3rd at 31- she is 3 wks.

would like a 4th before I'm 35

33, 35 and 38 - all planned.
Have been with my dh since I was 20, but having babies in my 30s worked out perfectly career-wise.

37, 39 and 41 (first 2 planned, third a very happy "accident")

Currently pregnant with my first child at 28 - planned. Most of my (middle class, professional) friends are barely thinking about it. I will be one of the first in my group.

1st-25 and 2nd 27. Both planned.

Was one of the first out of my group to have children.

26 and planned, been trying since 25 though (took just under a year!)

27 when conceived and it wasn't exactly planned but we weren't exactly being careful either!

and no 4 due 26th dec and I will be 41!!!!

no1 planned at 18,and no4 planned at 35..

I am pregnant with my first and I am 28. It was semi-planned, by which I mean that DH and I consciously thought that this was the first time it could possibly work having a baby (before that we were training for professions etc) and we were therefore "negligent" with contraception because we figured it would be ok if I got pregant. I got pregnant 2 weeks after the conversation where we said "it actually would be ok if we had a baby in the next year or two, maybe the odd slip up won't matter...."!!!

Oh, and no-one in my group of friends (pretty much all lawyers etc) is remotely planning having babies. Thankfully I have one friend who is pregannt with a happy suprise!

1st baby at 26, was in the process if planning to ttc in the next 6 months so he came a little early but I wouldn't say unplanned.

2nd baby at 28, planned.

I am 31 and just had my first, planned. Planning on a second one in 2 to 3 years time.

37 for first baby, planned

DS at 45, unplanned

Oh God, I've just checked every single post and I really was ridiculously old. I think I shall change my name to fossilmum.
