I was reading the times yesterday (annoying can't post link because now have to pay for their website) was article about women having her first baby at 30 and how all her friends were still waiting. Midwife said all first time mums generally under 20 or over 34 unless it was unplanned.

So - who here is on their first pregnancy, how old are you (and if you don't mind saying was it planned?) if its your second pregnant how old were you first time?

Just nosey really couldn't really believe that 30 was young for a first pregnancy...

Just turned 24 and first baby due in 5 weeks. Told had PCOS last year - so we just stopped 'not trying' and let whatever happens happen - and here we are.

Duritzfan · 15/08/2010 20:27

niamh29 · 15/08/2010 20:37

DD1 27 planned
DD2 30 planned
No 3 is on the way, I'll be 32 when he/she is born, also planned
none of my college friends have had kids and they are all the same age as me but most of my DH friends are either pregnant or trying!

domesticsluttery · 15/08/2010 20:37

I had my first at 24, he was planned.

Am now 32, and most of my friends from school and uni are only just having their first, or haven't had any yet.

I read the article yesterday and agreed with it, I was seen as very strange by most of my friends to have had children so young.

Hazeyjane · 15/08/2010 20:40

1st 37 - planned
2nd 38 - unplanned
3rd 41 - planned

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 15/08/2010 21:51

I was 25 when I had (planned) DS nearly 2 years ago. I was alone in all my friends my age - the next one has finally had hers but no plans for anyone else as far as I know.

SirBoobAlot · 15/08/2010 21:57

Had a miscarriage at 15.

DS is nine months, was 17 when I fell pregnant, and am 19 now. Both most certainly unplanned. Everyone has said, "You're the last person I expected to be a teen mum!" - which I don't know whether to take as a compliment or an insult Grin

Maybee · 15/08/2010 22:43

1st 31 unplanned
2nd 37 planned
3rd 39 unplanned
Long for another but dh says we have to be sensible.

Sunshine28 · 15/08/2010 23:29

Pidgin · 16/08/2010 07:21

I'll be 31 when my baby is born in Nov and he was planned. This is youngish amongst my friends. I'm surprise the midwife knows who was planned and who wasn't, do they ask?!

Swangirl · 16/08/2010 07:33

dawntigga · 16/08/2010 07:41

NowI'mAbout106Tiggaxx

Marjoriew · 16/08/2010 07:49

24 when I had my first. 36 when I had my 7th and last.

cupcake75 · 16/08/2010 08:04

Would have been 33 if DD arrived on time. As she was late I had been 34 for all of three days. She was planned. Would have started trying a year earlier but needed to wait and see about impending redundancies at work.

NoahAndTheWhale · 16/08/2010 08:36

27 when I got pregnant and 28 when I had DS. Planned

29 when I got pregnant and 30 when I had DD. Not planned

LooL00 · 16/08/2010 09:04

38,39,43

excitedmummy2be · 16/08/2010 09:09

I'm 33 and this is my second pregnancy but first one ended in miscarriage. This pregnancy was most definately planned and took us a year to conceive.

Threelittleducks · 16/08/2010 09:36

I was in the Times - an article about younger mothers who are educated, but choose to stay at home with dcs - it was in about a month ago!
(Swit swoo I say!)

I am 25 now, had my first ds when I was 23 (planned) and my second ds is on the way.

Not planning anymore as do have a degree that I want to use at some point after I have gotten kids to school :)

TheUnmentioned · 16/08/2010 09:46

1st - 24
2nd (now) - 28

Both planned

emmab5 · 16/08/2010 10:19
