Tea, I thought of you when I was reading a leaflet the boys brought home from school yesterday.

Am I right in thinking you are already going on a Haven holiday?

If you are, ignore me, but we were given a thing saying 50% off uk family summer holidays. £179.00 per family using the code Z-RARING2.

Their website is here

moosemama · 08/07/2010 19:18

Oh, just checked, its only for four night midweek breaks self-catering and available on 34 Haven parks excluding Lydstep Beach and Far Grange.

moosemama · 08/07/2010 19:21

And you need to go to a specific web page to search.

Tree, go to bed, lie down and sleep. Its the only thing you can do with labrynthitis. I feel so sorry for you. Its a horrible illness.

And dh says, take the anti-sickness pills. They are the only thing that helps.

moosemama · 08/07/2010 20:08

Right I really am off to bed now. Dosed up to the eyeballs with cocodamol and bufren.

Have to collect the boys from school on my own tomorrow.

chefswife · 08/07/2010 20:49

I am so incredibly tired. DD was up every hour last night. I told DH at 6 that I just couldn't do it, just couldn't get up. Just give me an hour... I slept for 3.5, dead. I just don't want to lie down while she naps right now. Just want to relax.

What a lot we all are now. Mid-summer illness' and fractures! lol.

chefswife · 08/07/2010 20:49

Night night all and sweet dreams.

treedelivery · 08/07/2010 20:57

I'm feeling a bit more chipper. I should be at work now

Tinnitus is replaced with earache, which on the whole, I prefer.

Sleep well moose, and hope you get some rest of some sort chef. x

chefswife · 09/07/2010 04:45

Hey Ladies... good morning. Tis the end of the day for me. I'm enjoying a gin&tonic, mumsnetting. Ahh. The weather has finally turned for the better here, but we still hung about at home because I'm not taking DD anywhere right now. What a cow! I told her today she must be shitting me with her temper tantrums, of which I've tolerated because she's been ill, but holy cow, enough already. I swore at her. I said shut the f#$% up! But I was at the end and tired to boot. She was down by 7.30, unusual, but hasn't stirred. We have a busy couple of days coming with visitors tomorrow and Saturday and Sunday we are going to Vancouver; I'm going to a workshop on public art applications. I also just remembered it is mine and DH's 20th anniversary. lol. Can't believe I forgot about something we've been talking about for months. Anyhow, we aren't doing anything in the end because we must save every cent right now for our trip back to Ontario in August for his brothers 200+ farm wedding which could be OK, but I'm thinking its going to be more of just a party and I'm going to get stuck talking to MIL all night as she boozes and sit with DD... Sorry, I digressed. lol.

Hilarious. Anyhow, good G&T. Night night.

moosemama · 09/07/2010 09:47

Morning

Glad to hear the tinnitus has stopped Tree, how are you doing today - any better?

I had a dreadful night, slept well until the small hours then got woken up by the flipping dog. Dh went to sort her out, but then I needed the toilet (which is downstairs). I had taken the cast off (not sure I was supposed to, but couldn't sleep with it on) and didn't want to be bothered putting it back on just for a toilet trip, so decided to just keep my foot up and use both crutches. Boy is it hard lifting someone my weight on just your arms!

Struggled downstairs to the toilet, then started to feel really odd, everything went silver then black and I fainted. Fortunately I realised what was happening and managed to aim for the sofa, so had a soft landing. Had to lie there for half an hour and have a drink of water before I could even contemplate going back up the stairs. I wanted to stay on the sofa, but dh wanted me to go back up as the dog would definitely keep me awake downstairs. Ended up going back upstairs on my bum - how dignified!

Struggled to get comfy and sleep for the rest of the night really, then got up at 8.00 and practically straight away felt like I was going to faint again. Have been on the sofa ever since. Feel shaky and dizzy and a bit sick and feel like I'm going to faint every time I try to stand. Dh has gone in to work this morning, but is booking the afternoon off, as I clearly can't do the school run today.

Am truly fed up of all this now. Haven't a clue what the shaky/dizziness is all about - virus maybe? Probably caught something in one of the many waiting rooms I've been in over the past two weeks.

Chef, sorry you've been having such a rough time. Hope dd is on the mend and you have a lovely weekend to make up for it.

treedelivery · 09/07/2010 10:38

Hello all.

Wobbly world here. have heard there is a bug that makes people chaky and wobbly Moose. So maybe I have that, and now so do you? That would be the worst luck if so

Turns out door frames are dangerous. I have walked into most of ours.

moosemama · 09/07/2010 11:13

You should be lying down, not running around into door frames.

Do you think these things are contagious over t'internet?

I have only managed to haul my ass off the sofa twice this morning, both times to change dd's nappy. Fortunately have everything strategically placed for grabbing with either arms or crutches.

Any clues on how long said bug lasts? I really don't want another screwed up weekend and its beautiful and sunny outside.

treedelivery · 09/07/2010 11:19

Well, I'm on day 3. Sorry!

I had to get a shift on this am. Dh went to work at 5.20, and dd2 was up and a proper misery at 6, and dd1 was up at 6.30, and a proper joy. SO I got them all sorted for the gp's arrving to take them to school. dd1 has her end of year trip and I wanted to wave the coach off They have taken the H bomb till 4. Thank the lordy lodr.

She was up till midnight, and had 6 hours sleep [after sedative] so no wonder she was like a bull this am.

I am am ok, bored actually, when I am lying dow. I have laptop beside me adn can type without moving my head. iyswim. My ears are killing me though. I have stuff oozing out of the right one, which wasn't sore until that happened. I think it might have perforated. I also feel like I'm moving through treacle.

So yes, pissed.

God Moose poor you. I hope dh gets his afternoon off.

Poor me? Poor you! Fancy having to deal with the dcs from 6 am on your own when you're that poorly.

I'm lucky, dh did everything this morning.

Does sound like that ear might have perforated. Have you seen the GP? Labrynthitis can be either viral or bacterial in origin, so you may need ab's.

I am nowhere near as bad as you, just can't stand up or sit up very well. Am ok as long as I lie here doing nothing.

Probably the best time for me to get something like this if I think about it, as I can't get about much anyway so its making sure I don't walk around too much. My Mum would say the universe orchestrated it to facilitate healing - but then she's gone to see a shaman today!

moosemama · 09/07/2010 11:51

Morning Dog. Cross posted.

You have yourself a nice restful day with dp and make sure you get plenty of naps while he's there to have the dc's for you.

Yes DOG, to bed!

I'm the same Moose, apart from the earache I am actually ok as long as I don't move.
The earache comes and goes in waves. It is blardy sore in the wave.
No I still think poor you. You have a pot and a dodgy head thing. Not good.

DD1 was a gem this am and got herself all changed and ready, dd2 was a little whatsit but hey ho. I didn't have to get dressed and do the getting out of house bit so it felt like a holiday

I feel hungry, sick, and like my head will blow off

moosemama · 09/07/2010 12:22

Tea, can't see fb obviously, but gather from Dog's post that something's up. Just wanted to reiterate what she said, we are all here to support you, if/when you need us. x

moosemama · 09/07/2010 12:30

Dd is actually being quite a little sweety today, but still quite demanding. She wants me to draw endless 'Teddies' on her colour magna doodle thingy, then she scribbles on them and says 'Teddy again!'. Its not easy to draw teddies on a drawing board which only fits vertically by your side so you are drawing upside down.

I am sat here in an old jersey nightdress with a huge robot leg on one side and a big blue fluffy sock on t'other. Oh the glamour that is my life.

I can't face food this morning. Trying to stay positive, at least that's a few less calories then.

Am hanging out for dh getting home now, need to sleep but dd is having none of it despite lots of enormous yawns from her.

Have been looking at gladiator sandals (thanks for the links yesterday Tree) but am mindboggled by the sheer range available. Also think I need something embellished and I don't normally do glitzy, so am struggling to find some I'd be brave enough to wear. Have seem a few different funky ones, but know I'd feel daft in them. Dh is still trying to get me to wear gold 20 hole DMs.

teaandcakeplease · 09/07/2010 13:31

I had to go to County Court this morning with 2 Affidavits to swear on with a bible, to enable the decree nisi to now be issued. Court stamped it all etc and now returned to the solicitor, just another thing to do in the long road to divorce but not much fun!

moosemama · 09/07/2010 14:16

Oh Tea, what a horrible day for you. ((hugs))

We are here if you need to talk.
