Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Oh Moose I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm actually off to bed, I cannot keep my eyes open! The DCs were in bed by 6pm, as they were exhausted after mums and tots this morning and then they only had one nap each today and it was only 90 mins, as it was noisey outside and it woke them both

I have read everything but I'm having trouble retaining anything.

Tree - I hope your ear is feeling a tad better, and Stripey and your DD's cold's are improving

P.S I now know why the other day was so terrible, clearly PMT I really should keep track of my due date, but I clearly have no reason to, now my H has left me...

moosemama · 07/07/2010 21:14

Hi Chef. Hope its nothing serious and she's feeling better soon.

Night Tea, don't worry about the PMT thing I'm exactly the same, never make the connection between my bad days and PMT - and I do know my dates.

chefswife · 07/07/2010 22:38

DH says he can tell because I get 'horny' near my due dates. Never noticed.

DD is already showing signs of getting better. I am being a little more diligent about her taking a nap. I was a little loosey goosey cause she was ill but I think it was just making her a little cranky cause she can't discern when she should really be taking naps. We ever painted our nails today.

Still on phone so hard to type. Dog, do you always use iPhone? Takes me forever as every other word is wrong. Anyway, have been keeping up with you all and just wanted to say, moose, sounds like you need some jewelled flats, something pretty and strappy, and a killer pedicure. London fun and busy. Taking my mind off pg which is still only 4 plus 5. Yes, I am counting the days and still so scared esp since any symptoms have subsided completely. Trying not to worry.

Waves to all.

chefswife · 08/07/2010 05:25

Good morning!
Waves back at ya MissJ
I love my IPod Touch, but damn if the replacement one isn't f#$%ed too. I've barely used this one. The battery was funky on the last one and this one, the touch screen is all of a sudden not letting me touch it. It sort of does, but not enough to unlock it. I've done everything. I'm waiting one more day. Three is a charm.

When we went camping, DH, DD and I went to the village to stroll and shop. We bought DD this cheap bunny puppet, $6, and she calls it HeeHaw. Too funny. The poor thing gets so tangled up.

chefswife · 08/07/2010 05:26

The puppet gets tangled, not V... lol

chefswife · 08/07/2010 05:27

Its only 9.30pm, but somehow I feel like I should go to bed. I crashed on the couch last night for the first time in like forever... it was nice.

Hello.

Short one as I got sent home from work. Nearly pucked in theatre, which would be a shame, and generally wasn't up to the job. I have labarynthitis, which appears to be Dr speak for dodgy ear thing that's no bother so get home and rest up, and don't bother us again GP was lovely though. Gave me script for stemtil, which I prob wont get as I can't be drowsy with the kids. Mum goes home soon

Will have to ring work and ask them to check my labour documentation and note keeping from last night. I couldn't see the lines on the page, and those I could see were moving .

So Mosse, sounds tough mate. People often fall when they have a porrly leg or foot. MssJ, impossible I know - but try not to worry. You might lose one symptom, to have it replaced ay another in a few days. As your body moves through the days and weeks. Hang in there DOG! And put a good half bag of soda crystals, and loads of bicard of soda in the washer, and do a good hot empty wash.

HUgs for books, and anyone else who needs them.

Moose, sounds like you need Monsoon and accesorise to me

treedelivery · 08/07/2010 13:13

never too poorly to shop

sale on!!

Loads int he sale Moosey, you'll have no trouble finding something there. It' sthe old boring fall back Monsoon, but with the dress you describe it could be just the ticket?

In the drum, although either, doesn't really matter.

these You can get them in Wilkinsons, hardware shop, some supermarkets - often by laundry, or maybe by the drain cleaners and stuff like that. They pop up in odd places. I use them with the nappies too, about half a cup per wash. Softens the water and gives you mega suds, so only use a desert spoon of laundry powder.

You'll need a good bit of bicarb, to absord the smells.

Feeling really very sick now. Also bored, it's like a hangover. You can't just sit there, as physically you ar ok. It's just when you move........

Same thing, the little tiny door often on the front of the machine, you can pull out a filtery looking thingy and rinse it clean. But sounds like your man already did that

I'm very sad and always read the trouble shooting guide in the back of the manual when things go wrong. I have a special file for all my manuals

sad sad woman...

tinktellyaddict · 08/07/2010 16:54

dog - on!!! i have a place for instruction manuals 2

tinktellyaddict · 08/07/2010 16:56

trr - poor u sounds horrid

moosemama · 08/07/2010 18:12

Aargh! I disappear for one day and I can't keep up!

Books, whatever's wrong? Anything we can do to help? I hate thinking of you feeling so low you cried and not having anyone to share with. Please come and rant if it'll make you feel better.

Dog, poor you with such a tiny amount of sleep and then to have it broken by a middle of the night accident as well - I hate it when that happens. We have to get ds1 up at 11 ish every night or he wets the bed. Its caused by the irritation/inflammation from the gluten (which we are slowly weaning him off again in the hope of avoiding a really bad reaction this time).

Re washing machine. Have you thoroughly cleaned the door seals? Sometimes all sorts of yukky stuff gets trapped in the seal and that can make your washing stinky. What brand of cleaner did you use. I use this one and it always seems to do the trick. Tescos sell soda crystals by the way.

Tree, labrynthitis is horrible, you poor thing. Dh had it a couple of years ago and was off work for weeks. It makes you feel so sick and dizzy. He had stugeron rather than stemitil and I think that doesn't make you as sleepy. Dh could do nothing but lie flat for weeks when he had it. Really hope you only get a mild case and are up and about again soon.

Well, my news is that I spent all day at the hospital today - again. Had an 11.00 am appointment, but was told they were running nearly two hours late when we arrived, but had bleeped another doctor to come and help. So waited for an hour and a half in a sweltering waiting room, telling my Mum what a fraud I felt surrounded by people with massive casts on their limbs etc and that perhaps we should just go home, then got called in to see a Consultant who was really cross that the local hospital had messed it up and that meant I had been walking on it for 13 days and sent me to get a cast.

Unfortunately the lady that fitted them was on lunch, so I had to go away and get a coffee and come back again, by which time I was in a queue, despite being back 10 mins early.

Anyhoo, the upshot is that I am now sporting a rather fetching Aircast, which for the uninitiated is a toture device that resembles a cross between the leg of a stormtrooper and the leg of a transformer. Its mahoosive and has 4 valves so that the interior can be pumped up in different areas to best support the ankle. I also have to use two crutches, as apparently people tend not to adapt well to them at first and fall over a lot, as they are very high of the ground and have a rocking sole. Technician recommended wearing my MBT on the other foot to even things up a bit.

Unfortunately, I have been in agony ever since it was fitted. I guess because it is holding my foot in the right position, whereas I have been holding it in the most comfortable position for almost a fortnight.

I have to wear it for two weeks, then go back for them to see if its working. Apparently, my foot should have been immobilised as soon as possible after the accident.

If the bone doesn't knit I may still have to have surgery, depending on where the chip settles.

Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!

teaandcakeplease · 08/07/2010 18:32

Well it's a bit rubbish all that waiting and now a cast but good that it will finally heal properely and get better

Hope your H pampers you

moosemama · 08/07/2010 18:34

Thanks Tea. He's actually come home early tonight, which is practically unheard of unless there's an emergency and is now cooking the tea.

I might just go to bed though, feel really rough now after hobbling around the hospital all day before finally getting the cast.
