Yes Pat, please do text her and say we are thinking of her.

hello 120 . book marking

moosemama · 29/06/2010 21:36

Pat, she had an electric shock yesterday and was concerned about reduced movement. We think she went in for monitoring, but haven't heard anything on here or FB since tea time yesterday.

I think we're assuming from her absence that they must have kept her in for obs and monitoring.

PatTheHammer · 29/06/2010 21:38

Will do, I will be back shortly. Off for a very well deserved bath!

p.s came 156 out of 1000 on my big walk, 2hrs 45 mins for 10 miles so now VERY motivated for even bigger one in Sept (21 miles!!)

stripeywoollenhat · 29/06/2010 21:41

pat, the garden is mainly dp. i just try to control c out there - no early harvesting, no stone/snail/disturbingly like cat poo snacks... we do a lot of snail stamping here, feckers are decimating the courgettes

Hello Stripey, long time no see. Hope you are all well.

hackneyzoo · 29/06/2010 21:45

Wow, it's a Jan 09 party!

Stripey, saw you were in north norfolk, spent many a childhood summer round there, my dad grew up round there, so was very envious of your Holkham beach visit. What was the yurt like? Might give it a try next time we head up that way...

Pat well done on your walk, thats really impressive...21 miles...nutter.
Will check back to see if there is news of Dog.

Am reading Bad Science at the moment, really interesting, would highly recommend it, am about to get stuck back in before I fall asleep!

teaandcakeplease · 29/06/2010 21:51

Holkham beach is awesome! I used to go to Sheringham with a kids camp every year for many many years and we always took a trip to that beach.

moosemama · 29/06/2010 21:52

Oh, I just got all kerfuddled and read all the posts in the wrong order. Anyone would think I'd injured my brain not my foot.

Tree, missed your post. I know I should go and get it checked out again, but I am such a big wuss and I'm sure they will just be cross and send me away with a flea in my ear. Can't get the image of the fracture on the xray out of my mind though, horrible knowing I have a splinter of bone being pulled about by the ligaments, regardless of whether or not its an old or new fracture really.

stripeywoollenhat · 29/06/2010 21:53

hkz - the yurt was delicious, if slightly warm, but we didn't want to sit c out in the midday sun. wholly recommend. dp's father's family from north norfolk. holkham beach absolutely lovely, though i had a stinker of a hangover and didn't cope well with the sun, so did a bit of vampiric sulking and skulking while i was there. think dp's visiting friends (dog owners) thought i was a bit of a fright, really. ah well, never expect small talk from a woman whose child your dog has snapped at if she has a filthy hangover at the time, i say...

pat [impressed emoticon]

moosemama · 29/06/2010 21:55

I am reading ... The Princess Bride! Inconceivable!

moosemama · 29/06/2010 21:58

Pat, am very impressed at your walking.

Think I should give it up myself though - its dangerous!

120 · 29/06/2010 22:03

lol moose. hello lurkers! Any more out there? Well?

lol at the reading material. I'm reading 'your marketing sucks'.

We're off to north norfolk in August. Can't wait. I love plum and morfe's orchards.

Moose go back to A & E, what if it heals wrong and they need to reset it in due course?

Just get it checked, better safe than sorry

PatTheHammer · 29/06/2010 22:10

Right, texted but it hasn't 'delivered' yet, so maybe not up to date number or maybe can't reach her. I will FB her too.

HZ- I have read 'Bad Science' about 5 times, it is amazing and taking the kids to see a Ben Goldacre lecture in November too (kids at school....not DC!). Thing is the kids get it totally, just the general public who need to catch on

Moose- poor ankle, I would lay off the walking if I were you! Mind you I nearly went A over T over a tree-root at 9.5 miles that would have done some damage. In my defence it was nearly pitch-black and 2.30am in the morning!

Stripey- think I'm being too kind then, I just lob'em over next door and try to put salt down when not raining. We have some nesting house-martins at the moment and I think they are helping as mum and dad HM must be eating slugs and snails as a distinct lack-off recently.
Z Loves watering the plants, he's very good at it now. He does it at least 3 times daily at home and a few at nursery too.............with a bright pink watering can

moosemama · 29/06/2010 22:12

Ooo Tea, stop! You big ol meanie you!

Nah, they wouldn't have to reset it, as its only a chip, not a clean break. Worst case scenario would be an op to remove the chip if it is damaging the ligaments.

Then again - there's absolutely no chance of having to have an op if I don't go back is there?

teaandcakeplease · 29/06/2010 22:16

Moosey you're being very naughty! Do I need to take your favourite toy away?

treedelivery · 29/06/2010 22:28

treedelivery · 29/06/2010 22:39

Have commented on the meeting on the old thread, only briefly though. At anyrate, glad it was a success.

Although not on Saturday, cos its the boys' Summer Fayre.

Anyhoo, I have my lovely trusty old walking stick for the time being. Bought it from a hiking shop in Yorkshire when I took a chunk out of my shin bone. (I fell onto the top edge of radiator, while trying to black out the curtains with a blanket - because I had a migraine. ) Did it good and proper that time. Had only been in my new job for a week and had to have 6 weeks compluslory rest!

moosemama · 29/06/2010 22:45

Thanks Tree, I did read it, but have got myself in a pickle trying to do about ten things at once on the laptop and forgot to thank you.

Just got to get through the learning support review tomorrow now and I can breathe a sigh of relief and crawl my way towards the summer holidays - yay! (Literally actually, now I come to think of it! )
