thanks!! that happened at 3 with dd1 for me but dd2 seems somedays to be ok and others not. hard to predict but the grumps without a sleep v hard to manage!!

JamInMyWellies · 27/05/2010 16:44

Oh good other thread took an age to load.

Think the pox is abating. He still looks like there are some under the skin but they are all beginning to crust over. Prob just in time for Lachlan to get it.

Hi NWAF we still sort of have naps here. This week to bed for 2 hours every day but we have the pox so he is under the weather. Normally it's just dozes in the car very occasional fall asleep on the sofa.

Am so excited tonight I get to escape and go to the gym with a friend. How sad am I. I am so bored of being stuck in shmoks is going loopy loo and all arch wants to do is watch the telly.

AbbyLou · 27/05/2010 16:59

Hello NWAF, welcome.
My dd gave up naps a long time ago. In fact, she never really did it much at all tbh. As for my 5 year old ds, he would still nap in the day now given half the chance. He is always the one who falls asleep in the car.
Jam glad Archie is getting over the pox, it sounded really nasty for him.
Dh is still away (one more night to go) so tonight the girls are coming round - hurray! I've been to Tesco and bought mountinas of nibbles and wine! I can't wait. Not quite sure how school will go tomorrow though! I hate teaching with a hangover.
We're off to Thomasland at the weekend for a friends ds 2nd birthday. Of course the forecast is for heavy rain, we have never had a dry day there yet!! Then we got friends (also coming with us) staying over and we're having a Eurovision party. Food from lots of the countries and Eurovision bingo - I can't wait. I'm very sad me!!

JamInMyWellies · 27/05/2010 17:26

OMG is it eurovision this weekend??? Kind of gone off it since Tel no longer does his bit.

Have a great girly night Abby

AprilMeadow · 27/05/2010 17:44

Welcome NWAF to the madness wonder of the May07 thread.

Ella will sometimes have a nap but only if she passes out on the sofa, refuses to go to her bed.

nowwearefour · 27/05/2010 17:59

i have v missed out on all this friendship!!! i hadnt realised re eurovision either!

SKYTVADDICT · 27/05/2010 18:41

Hi NWAF. No naps here either - not if we want a before 10pm bed time!

I am checking L daily for the Pox. Every little mark is noted! It was two years ago this weekend that C had it and we visited Liverpool. We have now been in contact with two los the day before there spots came out, if it bypasses him we will be lucky!

Hi everyone else x

AprilMeadow · 27/05/2010 19:45

NWAF there is always room in this thread for a new friend

I guess i have all the fun of the pox again when Lucy gets it. Hopefully that is a long way off yet. I think Jack was 2 and a bit and Ella almost 2.

Lucy is teething badly at the moment poor bubba. She is drooling like mad and woke 6 times between 9.30pm & 6am :. She is calpol'd up and hopefully she might sleep a little better.

Getting excited about the meet up, dh should be around, unless he gets eaten by a tornado next month!

SOH if you are reading the thread, we are at Snetterton again on the 8th August if you fancy another day at the races. You never know what fun J might get up to this year..... or should i call him 'Super Cop'

Themasterandmargaritas · 27/05/2010 21:56

Ooooo a newbie, welcome, it's been a while. Tell us more about yourself.

Suddenly we are all envigorated.

I've been to the ballet tonight, get me. Oh and I sacked Mary as she has been taking money .

Pebblemum · 27/05/2010 23:32

Welcome NWAF, Alana doesnt have naps unless we are in the car. Now and again she will sneak in a little one but she is up from 6am-8pm and the walk to my ds2's school takes 45mins each way so she deserves a little one on the rare occassion. I do find though that she is then up until 10pm and then more grumpy the next day. DS1 though was a different matter, he was still having naps when he started pre-school at 3.5yrs.

Alana is so excited to be going to see Mickey Mouse, every day shes woken up shouting 'we're going on holiday today' She helped pick out her clothes to pack even if it did mean a 10min job took almost an hour because she insisted on trying everything on first. The boys on the other hand just grabbed the first things they found in their drawers (so i had to start from scratch with them, typical males [wink)I bought Ethan some lovely 3/4 length England trousers the other day to take on holiday. I picked up 5-6yrs and they drown him so im going to have to take them back and get the next size down which was 3-4 he is 7 in september!! Buying clothes for my kids is never straightforward lol

Tillyscoutsmum · 28/05/2010 08:56

Welcome NWAF Tell us all about you and your brood . Til will still nap most days but only in her bed so its a bit restrictive. If we're out and about, then she's fine to miss a nap for a day or 2 but by day 3, she's vile very tired.

Glad to hear the pox is getting better Jammy and hope you enjoyed the gym.

I have a hangover ... It was our book club meeting last night (its all rock and roll here) and we decided the book was a bit too depressing to talk about so we just drank loads instead. I'm at my mothers this afternoon as well - not great at the best of times but positively masochistic with a hangover

Abbylou - it would be great to have someone to stay at a hotel with for the meet up. I've never stayed in a hotel with the dc's on my own We'll have to sort it out once the date is decided.

TMAM - re: Mary. Are you ok ? Did she take much ? Have you got it back ?

Gin - hope you're feeling a bit better

AM - hope Lucy's teeth don't give her too much grief

JamInMyWellies · 28/05/2010 09:17

Hangover whats that then Tills?

Have just hidden behind the kitchen cupboards so the boys cant see eating waffles with nutella for breakfast. I went to the gym last night so thats ok, right?

TMAM oh no what a nightmare. I assume you will manage to replace her fairly quickly.

Am going to take the boys to the butchers, how exciting our first tie out all week. I reckon if I go now there will be noone else there that we can pox infect.

The boys normally have rugby on a Saturday morning, now obviously Archie is not going tom but do you think we shouldn't take Lachlan either? He may/may not be infectious.

Moijaimelacountry · 28/05/2010 10:27

Not enough time......

Oh and I'm going to have a look at flights for the meet-up? Anyroom at Meadow Towers AM or am I too late?

Welcome NWAF, we are a nosy bunch.... but all lovely and very most definately all very real and yes lg&t really does have 7 beautiful children, AM really does live in a mansion, TMAM really does have staff and lives with the elephants and girafes, I really do teach line dancing in a different language (badly), Sky really is going to get married, Peb has her own parking space at A&E with her lovely accident prone brood, Jam really is too young and beautiful to have children, Tils doesn't really drink....... who have I missed? SOH, is a figure of our imaginations now, but wonderful, funny and lovely even though she lives on a tractor surrounded by sheep. Pink is another we sadly don't hear from often and the gorgeous charlie pops in when she can. Abby is fab but always here when we are not (school holidays), these teachers get all the fun.

Am I done? Sorry if I missed someone.

definately not enough time now... have friends coming for the week, if they make it this time, house is a shit hole and there is NO food.

Love you all! ttfn xx

Moijaimelacountry · 28/05/2010 10:38

NWAF I forgot to answer your napping question, how rude of me! Jorja naps at school, don't have a choice on that one, but she doesn't usually nap anymore at home, Maddie (older sister) wouldn't let her anyway. She still needs it to be honest and is much easier after a school day when she has slept.

Right, must get arse off MN and do something boring productive.

Themasterandmargaritas · 28/05/2010 12:33

MrsJB, spot on.

I forgot to answer the napping question, J doesn't nap and hasn't for about a year sadly.

AprilMeadow · 28/05/2010 13:28

MrsJB, always room at Meadow Towers for you x

I hope L makes it to you this time

TMAM, that's awful! I hope you get it/got it back

Moijaimelacountry · 28/05/2010 14:51

Just confuse the lovely newbie even more.... I was MrsJB only now I'm not quite such a jaffabiffa, gone off them, fancy cowboys way more now. MrsJB has stuck and I don't mind one bit though.

What happened TMAM? seems to be a bit of a problem there. Hope it wasn't alot. Lets hope you will you find an honest member of staff next.

AM thanks, I'll look, but I have to be here for Saturday the 24th, have a demonstration on. Plus, I will have had the lovely AM to myself the week before so she might have had enough of me... Will have to settle for a webcam chat if I can't get there this time.

Am pretty much done, school run soon.

ShowOfHands · 29/05/2010 15:20

I have a nap every day.

Themasterandmargaritas · 29/05/2010 17:21
ShowOfHands · 29/05/2010 17:58

Do you need glasses?

Are you getting old?

SKYTVADDICT · 29/05/2010 18:09

I think she is just marking the thread to watch TMAM. I bet she doesn't stay, which will be a shame . We miss you SOH x

ShowOfHands · 29/05/2010 18:12

Ah, what's to miss Sky? Gingerbread ramblings and sarcastic asides bore even me after a while.

Miss you lot rather though.

AprilMeadow · 29/05/2010 19:32

Thought i was imagining the presence of SOH for a moment!
