A brand spanking new thread where we can chat about the state of our eggs, SWI, our veg patches and any other topic we fancy

hopefully have already congratulated you on the ttc boards, but here - have another little ruffle of the hair!

carrie sorry for your bfn. Had three of those cycle just gone. And I wasn't even late, so felt shite all morning then the afternoon building up false hope.

Had results from my day 2 tests and apparently my hormone profile is normal. So that's something. And my acupuncturist said my pre and post-ov temp range is looking good. So there's no reason why I shouldn't be able to get pregnant again. One day.

My overly expensive party invites haven't arrived yet. At least we're finally off to Devon next week am soo looking forward to eating naughty things and drinking wine and spending loads of time with DH and DS.

Pacita · 22/07/2010 22:31

OH MY GOD! I take my eyes off one second and hopefully goes and gets up the duff. CONGRATULATIONS!

Enjoy camping. If you are anything like me, you won't have any nausea till week 8 (but my god, was it foul when it arrived).

I have been unbelievably stressed with the house purchase malarkey and it's still up in the air. Most stressful business I've ever been involved with.

Also, we spent half the night in A&E on Tuesday. I made this delicious no egg banana and walnut muffins (had some rotten ripe bananas and bought silicone cups specially for the occasion). Diego ate a muffin with fruition. Later that evening he developed hives and his eyes swelled up as if he had just been punched. My poor lamb.

All good now, as cortisone acted super quickly, but scary when it happened!

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 23/07/2010 08:53

Oh Hopefully congrats, hope it's all good. Am slightly envious but I shouldn't be - we've only been trying for a month and I got AF on Sunday but I did see a temperature shift, so am starting to learn about my cycle,

We go to Spain in September so it would be lovely to conceive on hols.

And I'm off today - taking C to see In the Night Garden Live with 4 other mums and toddlers.
Soooooo excited and packing a picnic!

ninja · 23/07/2010 10:29

MrsA ITNG Live - lovely . M's still not interested in TV. Sometimes it would be handy, but mostly I'm glad.

Back from visiting the in-laws yippee

DebiTheScot · 23/07/2010 11:25

woohoo someone (and it was a man- usually not very observant) has noticed that I've lost weight Glad it was worth the effort. Half a stone in 4 weeks. Lets just hope I don't put it all back on eating croissants for 2 weeks in France.

Have any of you Yorkshire ladies been to Diggerland? We're thinking of going up to Castleford for a weekend to watch Quins play up there as we've not seen them for ages and are away for their next 2 home games. So we thought while we were up there we could go to Diggerland but wasn't sure what it's like. Gets mixed reviews in threads on here but a lot of them were quite old.

Debs75 · 23/07/2010 15:41

Pacita Poor Diego hope he is feeling better, was it the walnut that bothered him?

Debi well done on the weight-loss. I guess 2 weeks of croissants could be worked off chasing 2 boys around Diggerland. We've never been but have heard it is pretty good for under 10's

Pacita · 23/07/2010 18:47

Yes, Debs, it turns out that he's allergic to Walnuts. He was red, his eyes swelled up and he was covered in hives. Fortunately, there was no swelling of his air passage, so they discharged us at about 3AM. The following day at work, was not fun.

Also, even though I'm only 14 (or is it 15) weeks pregnant, I am HUGE. Or it feels that way. I'm certainly showing enough to be offered a seat in the tube. I am still nauseous and very tired.

Diggerland sounds great! Diego is into tractors, lorries and excavators these days. He'd love it!

CappuccinoCarrie · 23/07/2010 19:24

Def not pregnant AF reared her ugly head today. Being three days late is galling, I really had started to get my hopes up. Consultant on Monday

I've got a lovely bottle of red wine but can't find the bottle opener in the house we're currently in! A friend is bringing a curry round later and bringing and opener with her. It'd better be worth the wait!

debi I've heard great things about diggerland but I have a feeling there are height restrictions which mean your ds1 is allowed on a lot more than your ds2. I don't plan to take the kids til they're a bit older. Have you heard the song on their website?! Well done having the discipline for the weight loss!

Need to pack again as we move tomorrow...two more moves and we'll be home again!

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 23/07/2010 20:31

We'll need a new thread soon ladies.

And ITNG LIVE was AMAZING. Just fab. C LOVED it and was a star, she didn't wriggle or fuss and watched for a whole hour (and she's never sat through a tv episode in full yet). It was beautifully done. Highly recommended.

Pacita · 23/07/2010 20:44

Sorry to hear carrie. I know that you are not looking forward to the consultant appointment, but I'm sure he'll be able to help you, bot with your endo and TTC. Sending you healing baby vibes.

ninja · 23/07/2010 22:27

Glad you had a good time at ITNG MrsA , sorry I made fun

Thread names?

(something to do with terrible twos as it took us 3 months to finish this thread?) - where's starlight?

mamamuffin · 24/07/2010 09:11

Hellloooo thereeee.

A big congrats to you hopefully

carrie your time is coming I am sure. You have had so much upheaval to deal with things will soon calm down.

debi digger land is fab. Very rough and ruggered though. I think there is so much more for ds1 than ds2. However a soft play area is there so that helps. Top tips. Spare clothes as very muddy, wet wipes and hand gel. Also, take a packed lunch as the food there rubbish and over priced. Also wellies if its been raining and a picnic blanket. Have fun. X scape at castleford is excellent for ds1. Tobogganing is the best. There is also a shopping outlet there and lots of food eateries! yumm xx

mamamuffin · 24/07/2010 19:42

Erm, new thread is that where you've all gone????? or have you all got exciting lives lol. Happy sat night xx

DebiTheScot · 24/07/2010 20:01

Thanks mama, you sound like you work for the South Yorkshire tourist board! We can get Diggerland tickets with our tesco vouchers so I think we'll do that as then it doesn't seem as expensive esp as we'd figured too there prob wouldnt be much for ds2 to do. Will look at Xscape too.
Now just got to decide between 2 campsites- there's not many around and most of them are either full or can't be bothered to reply to emails. Got a choice of 2 near Selby- 1 is in the garden of a pub that does nice looking food inc kids food so will prob go for that one.

Off on holiday tomorrow, The Loire valley for 2 weeks. Haven't finished packing so what am I doing on here??

ninja · 24/07/2010 20:01

Exciting life !!

Had to tell DD1 about the Guinea Pig that died while we were away . Went to buy a plant to go over it's grave, did soem cycling (M on the seat behind me and DD1 trying to learn without stabilizers) and got a big icecream from the new icecream parlour, very exciting

DebiTheScot · 24/07/2010 20:04

Not as exciting as mine ninja. I spent 2 hours going to Tesco (3 miles away) to get Euros! The traffic was awful coz of the airshow and the woman in the money bit needed to ask every one of the hundreds (seemed like hundreds anyway) of people in the queue about their holiday in great detail!

FannyPriceless · 24/07/2010 22:48

I am very proud of myself. Today neighbour dropped off some courgettes from his veg patch with flowers still attached. So I made tempura stuffed courgette flowers which I've always wanted to do! It wasn't hard at all, and very yummy. DH loved it and thinks I'm marvellous.

mamamuffin · 25/07/2010 10:16

Oh debi I am 3 miles from selby. You gotta pop in and see me. What are the campsites called? Is the nice food one called cawood When are you coming???
< excited about debi landinig on my doorstep>

Hopefully · 25/07/2010 10:30

Back from camping, and still appear to be PG! Fingers crossed things continue to stay put.

Camping was great - whoever was asking about camping with a toddler, I thoroughly recommend it. They knacker themselves out totally with all the fresh air, and sleep like logs. T was going to bed a bit later (around 7:30-8 instead of 7), playing quietly in his cot for a while (which he never does at home) and then sleeping through till at least 6:45-7 the next morning.

Carrie sorry AF got you, hope consultant has some words of wisdom.

DG I was really hoping to be on another ante-natal thread with you - tell your crazy long cycles to sort themselves out! Hope your invitations arrive soon

Booked the registry office yesterday, so we now officially have a photographer and a wedding!

becaroo · 25/07/2010 11:22

Congrats hopefully So very pleased for you.

Back from the wilds of north yorkshire - had a fab time...I actually got a tan!!! Kids loved it. Going back again next year
Going a bit mad next year as we are going away 3 times

Hope all are ok and the pg ones are blooming xx

DebiTheScot · 25/07/2010 11:35

mama the campsite we've gone for is the Cawood one. Hope it's good. Only going up for 2 nights, I'd love to meet up with you but can't see dh being so keen when we've only got 2 days! Going to rugby on the Sunday and Diggerland on Sat.

We're currently sitting in a queue waiting to get on a ferry to France. The passport man didn't even look at our passports!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 25/07/2010 18:37

Enjoy the Loire Debi, I am very of all of these holidays. Money is one issue with us, but the biggest is that dh works for himself so a holiday means spending money while not earning money. It's not a great combination. I think I may have an Ebay binge to get some money together.

I've got my fingers crossed for you tomorrow Carrie, I hope it all goes well.

I'm going to see if the ITNG thingy-ma-bob is on near me. Probably not, but that will teach me for living in a county where nothing ever happens!!

It's good to hear you have good things to say about camping with a toddler Hopefully. A lot of our friends camp and they say the early starts are a nightmare with their lo's.

Is anyone's lo now hiding when going for a poo? In the past week ds has gone and hid in a corner to do a poo. Is this any sort of early pointer towards potty training?

OP posts:
ninja · 25/07/2010 21:08

ILTMIMI - M always hides behind the curtain when going for a poo, quite happy to wee anywhere

ninja · 25/07/2010 21:48

WE NEED NEW THREAD NAMES GIRLS .....

something to do with potty training, I have noooooo inspiration

Debs75 · 26/07/2010 08:46

Robyn will wee or poo anywhere so not sure what the hiding is about.
Someone also needs to tell her that it is the school holidays and we don't need to get up at 7 in the morning, especially when everyone else is having a lie-in till at least 9am. I just know on Friday when we have to be up at 6am she will be crabby and want to sleep in.

Ninja Our LO's are nearly two and they hide for a poo
