also still have headache.. still thinking its sinus but may also have to purchase the evening primrose...

well done on completing your first day back gg and glad that ds2 was in fine feetle..

spring really hope ds1 gets better before your trip..

watcha cc..hope work improves today..

sorry your pilate class wasn't good sazz.. i only do the one to one sessions now as when in the classes feel like i'm on a go slow!!

hope the heartburn has passes oops

GreenGardenia · 23/03/2010 07:57

Hope everyone (else) had a good beep.

Well I am on my day off today, exhausted by acting like a normal member of society yesterday! Taking ds2 to swimming lesson, v looking fwd as he loved it last week so it was a complete pleasure for me too. Lovely warm pool. And I will figure out how the stereo and heating traction control etc works on the new car. It has a tape player! Yes, remember rewinding / fast forwarding till you got the exact bit that helped you dwell on your pain / was the bit of the song where he kissed you / summed up your teen angst perfectly. I did a lot of rewind / ff on Depeche Mode tapes meself.

We are going to a Christy Moore gig this evening, a fundraiser for Haiti. Trad music is not everyone's cuppa I know, but this guy is an absolute legend and we are both v. excited. Never seen him in the flesh before. Plus it = date night which has gotta be good.

GreenGardenia · 23/03/2010 08:02

My song that I discovered and cheered up a few winter mornings now all over some radio ad. Pah.

GreenGardenia · 23/03/2010 08:03

Actually I take that back it's a good thing & I hope she earned lots of dosh from it & will be able to make more music. How crap it is to post before reflecting.

GreenGardenia · 23/03/2010 08:05

I am known for my crap taste in music though.

cyteen · 23/03/2010 08:11

lol Gardenia, I remember spending hours rewinding/fast forwarding tapes with the end of a Bic biro to preserve battery power in my walkman. Mixtapes full of Kate Bush and Dinosaur Jr. It's weird how nostalgic one can be for the teenage years without ever wishing in the slightest to actually have to do them over again.

GreenGardenia · 23/03/2010 08:15

Yes or also reloading the tape using a biro when it had got all snarled up in some crap player and you were praying no bit of the spaghetti of tape had actually got folded and therefore rendered the whole thing unplayable.

GreenGardenia · 23/03/2010 08:16

And lots of songs taped off the radio with the whole house menaced into silence for the 2 minutes. Big deal getting a tape recorder with direct input from radio, whatever that's called.

re Christie Moore and some more

been out with D and DD2 to try to let DH sleep off a long nightshift, D came in howling as I put her down for a nap and DD2 fell over the step (she's tired too) so he duely woke up - all fecking great plans eh

we have DD1's parents evening tonight which should be fine - last time her teacher was telling us that she had announced she wished to be known as her full name and not the shortening we used goodness knows what it will be this time - probably Miss Dixie

I was thinking about how I should really be keeping a diary of things that amuse me regards the girls as tbh DD2 is hysterical - the other two entertain/amaze me and challenge me just as much but DD2 comes away with some absolute corkers - for example she has just asked me (whilst staring RIGHT up them) what those things are in my nostrils and has (without waiting for response) decided that they (the nostril hairs) are strings for the spiders to climb up

SO (to get to my point eventually) I came to the relisation that I sort of DO keep a note of them by posting the most ridiclious ones on here and that from now on I'm going to try to tell you one nice thing about the girls every day instead of whinging on about how exhausted I am (which I am btw ) hope thats ok!?

right now, VG - loving the sound of the new car/tape player - would you like me to send you some of my mix tapes that I couldn't bare to throw out !!!

singapore - please remember that the hum of the plane should help in the event of him not being 100% - I am also not adverse to keeping them drugged up on flights if poorly [shallow mother with dodgy parenting skills]

Hots - well done, you're sparkling achievement has shone through and inspired others

Sazz - you have reminded me to contact GBF (or my bangle as I prefer to refer to him as due to the fact he is my perfect straight gal accessorie!) as have not spoken to him in a while since death of him mum etc he has been very busy

right what else? this morning has been the heady thrill of Sainsbos and Dobbies - life can't get much better than this!!

6.30 here too so yesterday was apparently a fluke, midi got up, went to the loo and wandered downstairs shouting hello? hellooooooo? and then stood at the bottom shouting up in a rather indignent tone 'WHERE IS EVERYBODY' at which point D woke up as you can imagine DH was just when he came in and found us all downstairs

rofl, you're sooooooooooo mean

oopsandbabycoconut · 23/03/2010 13:20

Afternoon ladies

We did toddlers this morning and DDloved her 'craft' I gave her some cottonwool ball for clouds in her picture and she yelled 'NOOOOOO, SHEEP' S oour spring weather picture has sheep under rainbows. She is sleeping now and I could do with a nap but we re off to collect our moses basket. DH was supposed to get up this morning (6am)but did that pretend sleeping thing that men do really well and groaned and grizzled like a teenager about getting up. So DD and I retired to her room with the monitor still on and thumped about slamming doors as we went. He came down at 7 and complained we woke him up. I went up for a bath at 8 and left them to it.

LOL at mididixie and midisazz

GG - have fun in your new wheels

ataraxis · 23/03/2010 13:32

afternoon all

Think I have caught up...

no1, sorry you are having such a hard time. Sounds like you are doing brilliantly though. I can only reiterate what the others have said - unacceptable behaviour that needs to be recorded

LOL @ the from the mouths of dixie/sazz offsprings. dizzy hope parents evening goes ok.

green, hope work was ok.

On the 'how many more? front'...

I'm going to be an auntie again . BIL and SIL are expecting their first around late October . Sooo exciting!

Have to get on and do some more work now , will try to catch up later.

cyteen · 23/03/2010 15:57

Arf @ the dixie and Sazzles girls I am feeling brighter today, thanks for asking Sazz. Yesterday continued stressful with 'discussions' over wedding invites going on till about 11pm, but twas all resolved in the end so the wedding is still on DS was up at 5.30am but has been really lovely; more importantly, I've done my best to tire him out - was the first person through the door at soft play, 2 minutes after it opened, then been round town to get his feet measured etc. I'm bloody knackered, here's hoping he feels it too!

no1 just like everyone else has said - you rock, you're doing the right thing for you and the DCs despite it being hard and horrible all round. Don't hesitate to enlist the help of the police if H makes it necessary, even if it's just to go and collect your things from the house etc. Hope you've had good advice from the solicitor today

So is there a northern meet up in the offing or what?

GreenGardenia · 23/03/2010 15:58

Very funny little miss dizzy!

ataraxis great news on the new bambino.

LOL at sky full of sheep. DS has discovered the moon and is fascinated by it, he was especially chuffed to see it during daylight yesterday. I wonder is he part wolf.

How long does it take to feckin ovulate, I thought it was about 2 days, is it possible it takes 2 weeks?

GreenGardenia · 23/03/2010 15:58

Oh dear revealing tenuous grasp of biology / gynaecology again here.
