TS - I doubt anyone could miss the fact that I am pregnant - I resemble a large beached, burping whale!

TwilightSurfer · 22/03/2010 21:36

anyone notice the discussion of the day is about the name ellis...which i love. i am not going to read the thread because that will probably just make me mad.

oops get the tissues out.

Evening primrose is vg for hormonarage.

Well I went to work, worked, came home, am still alive, ds2 seems scarcely to have noticed I left, he was in flying form, all giggles and running about. I'm shattered though! Ouf will be hard to get used to this Monday lark.

We have a new car! I don't know if anyone remembers but my car got written off some time in February by someone banging into the back of it. So no car since. We have now finally got a long family wagon thing that takes the dogs and the shopping and stuff so I suppose one day in the mists of the future I will have a funky car again. However I am applying for a passport at the moment and if I get a 10 year one the next time I will renew my passport I will be pushing fifty. So I presume I won't be needing a funky car after all...

Might have a midlife crisis though.

GreenGardenia · 22/03/2010 21:39

I may have passed the middle of my life already

I think I'll have a sausage roll in that case.

oopsandbabycoconut · 22/03/2010 21:41

GG - I am already in tears - DH looking at me like I'm looney, just wait he will cry too We aren't at the end yet!

TS - will try the breathing thing - I also didn't eat after 6 tonight in hopes it would improve but no such luck.

TwilightSurfer · 22/03/2010 21:42

I think I have a few years to go yet before this mid life crisis. Still oblivious to my current age of 39. Is that really old?

Oops deep breaths in and blow all your air out before taking more in. Imagine blowing the flames all over the room.

OP posts:
oopsandbabycoconut · 22/03/2010 21:43

GG - best get on with the sibling for DSes then

TwilightSurfer · 22/03/2010 21:44

to continue....
And when you breath in imagine you are breathing in cold cold cold air to put out the flames inside.

So might any of us GG. No reason not to have a fancy car. (Good reason to have a sausage roll though. Actually I want one of those SO much now. Mmmmmmm.)

oopsandbabycoconut · 22/03/2010 21:59

Okay I'm off - I have run out of tissues.

GreenGardenia · 22/03/2010 22:12

Well I am stuck with the sensible large booted thing now.

Oops you are so right .

GreenGardenia · 22/03/2010 22:13

Fark me, I turn my back for 10 minutes and there is half a mile of posts to catch up on

VG glad you made it back unscathed

Sazz what is a GBF? [thicko]

Oh, if anyone is worrying about turning 40/midlife crisis please take heart from the fact that I have had an amazing time since I turned 40 - got my foxy figure back (more or less), learned to drive which is sooooo amazing, and have made some truly magnicficent friends (you may all take a bow on this one )

Silly me! I have seen my GBF today - that's my little sister in fact you would be proud of her, she has taken up my HotMama mantle and is exercise biking about 30 miles a day and has so far lost 1 stone wth 2 more to go...

Night Sazzamatazz (also re cleaner...)

springaporesling · 23/03/2010 01:25

No1 thanks for letting us know. I agree with the others that you need to try and document everything no matter how painful. Hopefully you won't need it but better to be as prepared as possible should things turn nasty.

Sazzles sounds like DD2 has made a huge leap with her speaking.

VG glad work was ok and DS2 not too upset. DS is very matter of fact when I go to work now (most times anyway). He'll say 'bye bye Mummy' and come and give me a big kiss .

We have a friend visiting at the moment who has been working in Thailand for 10 days and is on his way back to Toronto tomorrow. He was DH landlord when he moved to London after Uni. Anyway DS seems to have really taken to him. He must have had to read Gruffalo about 20 times already

A bad night here. DS has a cough/cold and was up from 2am to 4am. He just didn't want to go back in his cot and wouldn't settle in our bed. Eventually he must have been really tired as he said 'bed' 'bed' 'beep' (this is sleep as he still can't put s at the beginning of words) and went straight to sleep when I put him back in his cot. Am hoping he's feeling better for the flight otherwise it's going to be really tough....
