OMG - am sooooooooooooooo coming on a return visit if you get posted to Rome and am aware how shallow that makes me

Greeny - feck all idea sorry and you think by now I'd be some kind of expert

cyteen - lovely you're a bit more cheered, you're very welcome to come to Arbroath soft play anytime however I'd very quickly like to point out I don't live in the hellhole town of Arbroath [meep]

and as I may have mentioned a few times on here before I thought incase you'd forgotten I'd mention again how wonderful DD1 is and that her teacher agrees fully - with NO prompting on my part >

oopsandbabycoconut · 23/03/2010 17:38

Well done maxidixie - can't you just wait until mididixie's turn

VG - it normally takes 24-48 hours after your initial symptoms .

I have just been handed a sucked cracker to share

Sazz - sounds intriguing - see you are just too good to let go.

dizzydixies · 23/03/2010 17:53

mashed banana thrust at me here oops - lovely when they share eh?!

GladioliBuckets · 23/03/2010 18:09

I have 3 kids in a bath all busy playing nicely. Surprising considering DD's earlier unprovoked hysterical flip-out about not wearing her cousin's handmedowns. She then did some washing up in the kitchen which she says calms her down and is now styling DS1's hair with bubbles. My DNiece has been a tad unbearable of late about DD being her No1 fan, Mini-me etc so I can't begrudge DD the fact that her entire wardrobe came from DN. I am now planning a trolleydash round Primark tomorrow.

TwilightSurfer · 23/03/2010 19:36

ovulation typically occurs mid cycle but can also happen as a response to stimulation.

VG! ARE YOU TRYING TO GET PREGNANT!?!

Lol at the mini ones . DIzzy were you aware that the land you live in is called Scottage? And did you see my post about the Close baby carrier?

TS yes, we are definately done procreating just don't ask about contraception. We are using the 100% realiable 'head-in-the-sand' approach. Well dh is. I'm being rather more cautious , as for about 2 months now I've not had any urges to procreate further

gg christy moore . Dh and I adore him. The first song at our wedding was The Voyage, tis our song in fact. We saw him live in Nottingham about 10 years ago. Love him, love him, love him.
I fondly remember my irish friend, who i did my nurse training with, playing me Delirium Tremens and her warbling singing along "..as I sat looking up at the Guinness ad I could never figure out, how ye man stayed up on the surfboard after 15 pints of stout"

dizzydixies · 23/03/2010 21:36

I did see that Cece and have warned them all not to be invading yourselfs through fear of alarming miniCaveys and thank you for the offer but as I'm still not convinced this pregnancy is viable I shall keep you lovely generous people on hold meantime

RedLentil · 23/03/2010 21:47

It's nearly 20 years since I last saw Christy, but I'd love to see him again. My sisters are going to the Cork gig. Damn and blast this being broke business.

I have been missing in feminist action. I think the word Cyteen used about Dittany was 'insistent'. Very apt. She really is great. It would be a shame if people feel they can't dip there toe in the water of the new topic without losing it though. I guess it will all settle down after a few weeks and function better then.

No1 - I've been thinking of you lots of course and as everyone here has said already you are a fantastic woman, a gifted friend and a wonderful mother. Stay strong and stay safe.

VG - I have consulted my MN manual and that was a 'TTC reveal by stealth.' Good luck.

RedLentil · 23/03/2010 21:51

Dizzy - I'll get DS onto the letter-writing next week. I have a play to read, sandwiches to make and bags to pack before tomorrow. DH is at the last drama competition of the year thank God. DD1 is barking with croup again and is upset that she can't fly.

DS's most recent letters have included the lines 'I will love you even wen yuo are ded' and 'Wen I hit yuo at the party I am vere sory' (he finally walloped one of his assailants) [biscuit). He may need some coaching to start off with ...

dizzydixies · 23/03/2010 22:01

absolutely no hurry at all Red, I haven't even mentioned it to DD yet but thought would be nice to have your address to send a postcard once we're on our wee mini tour of Scotland/Ireland next week

poor DD1, I had croup all through childhood and remember it being more terrifying hearing the bark rather than sore iyswim? hope it passes quickly

am off to bed everyone, fingers crossed we all see a reasonable hour in the morning

springaporesling · 24/03/2010 02:02

Red we don't mind I'm sure just remember we're here when you need some light relief idle banter

Thanks for all the suggestions ladies. DS seems a bit better today so hopefully will be much better by Friday.

SIL to be was involved in a car accident last night. She's ok just a bit bruised and the car is a write-off but what rubbish timing less than 2 weeks before your wedding.

dizzydixies · 24/03/2010 06:56

oh no Springapore, how awful thank goodness she wasn't seriously hurt - please remind her to be taking her arnica

morning all, kids asleep however dog had to be brought downstairs and let out as some fecking cats decided to have a scrap on the front path and I didn't want her to bark and waken everyone up

cancel that - D awake

luckoftheirish · 24/03/2010 07:15

morning dizz...

we got to 6am today which i guess is better than 5 something ..

spring your poor sil hope she is ok and ds is feeling better..

vg ...

dd1 has a shocking cough atm but i am closing my ears to it as so sick of bugs in my house!!!

hopig to catch up with dh tonight we are like ships in the night at the mo so will prepare my list today, stay calm and breathe!!!!

GreenGardenia · 24/03/2010 07:56

Jaysus I'm only figuring out my postnatal cycle put your knitting needles away!!

Spring how dreadful. It's so shaking - even if no actual physical injury, is such a nasty experience. Your poor sister-in-law.

Cece he sang Voyage - the crowd helped - and it was beautiful. A lovely marriage song. Gig was great. Was a fundraiser for Haiti, he's good like that, all proceeds to Goal. Even Ticketmaster waived their fee.
