TS I predict that at least 2 tactless folk will put them off the idea and they'll come up with something different by the time the baby arrives.

Grr, TMI but one of my earpiercings is swelling up and itchy. Haven't worn a ring in it for years but it periodically fills with goo and has to have a controlled explosion to avoid a messy surprise. Ladies, please can I recommend taking your DCs to a proper body piercer instead of a teenager in Claire's accessories. Needle is way better than gun and a little extra fear for the littlies is not a bad thing.

GreenGardenia · 29/03/2010 23:11

Miamla take the noble chapeau off, it's ruining your foxy new do!

Glads I got my ears done about 4 yrs ago in Claire's Acc I periodically splash vodka on the believing this sterilizes or something but someone recently told me this was nonsense.

TS sorry re name thing. I speak as someone who named ds with the same name as my bro. Did ask him in advance, he said wd be proud. But I was more thinking did he want it for a future ds of his own than him not wanting to share it iyswim. In retrospect I hope he truly didn't mind. I have a friend whose sister asked her if she would mind having a niece named after her and my friend felt very strongly that she wanted to preserve the name for herself. So I suppose some will mind, some won't, and so perhaps your relation, being in the not minding camp, really never registered it might be a problem for you, in the other camp. Iyswim. AnywayI'm sorry it's upset you.

Posting on phone hence dribs, drabs. Dizzy ducky sorry you still feel like crap.

Lots sorry dh didn't spot the need to Wade In, next time you wallop him over the head with a big statement of the obvious & don'g hope silently for pennies to start dropping! How's everyone now?

Sazz tummy cramps as hangover symptoms HORRID hope at some point you lay down in laundry pile for gentle, private kip, rising only to quaff health giving water. Sounds like you had a pretty active day for you though!

GreenGardenia · 29/03/2010 23:21

Morning

Bah morning here - DH seems to have food poisoning, I have a stinking cold and DD is sitting infront of the telly watching Peppa Pig eating cereal giving running commentary. Am hoping DH only has food poisoning and not a bug, we ate everything the same yesterday except he had a HUGE slice of cheescake lastnight befoe bed and was ill.

Lovely Dizzy will be thinking of you today and keeping everything crossed and with my current pelvic floor and sneezing it is probably a good thing [blush

Back later when i have disinfected the upstairs just incase.

oopsandbabycoconut · 30/03/2010 07:23

Oh today is going to be a long day!!! Why when you take a man the disinfectant surface spray and hand gel, clean up the bathroom incase he hasn't done it properly he complains about it??? I think DD and I will stick to the downstairs loo today!

No but DD only at nursery in the afternoons so we are gone and come back just in time, piss wet through and with a pair of 6.5H shoes Was quite actually as he was wearing size 5 when we went in...

hotterpotter · 30/03/2010 13:21

Aah peace

DD at nursery, DS napping, DH away to the post office and the house is silent (apart from the washing machine which sounds like it's about to take off). Should tidy up a bit but can't be arsed.

Dizzy darling I hope you ahve got some good news today

cyteen · 30/03/2010 13:29

Is it scan day today dizzy? I have everything crossed for you here

Peaceful here too - DS is knackered out after a fantastic morning's swimming. Only his third time in the pool and he was kicking his legs like a pro, laughing and hurling himself off the side into my arms I am very proud mummy today.

hotterpotter · 30/03/2010 13:32

Sounds lovely cyteen We are all on hols next week (hurrah!) so hopefully will manage to take my two also.

cyteen · 30/03/2010 13:36

If only we had a normal-sized house, I'd invite you all to stay. How great would that be? The kids could tire each other out, your DH and mine could spend the evening comparing CD collections while we got gently sloshed healthy and motivated in the front room

hotterpotter · 30/03/2010 13:39

Sounds lovely, grrr for small houses. Your allotment talk makes me think thought that you aren't seriously thinking of buggering off around the world but are staying in Leicester for a bit. Do you think you might buy a house?

cyteen · 30/03/2010 13:41

lol, yeah, we're great at making plans and not committing to them. At the moment we're back on the 'buying a house' vibe (have seen a mortgage broker and everything). It's amazingly easy to put these things off when you've got a lively 1yo in the house, isn't it?

hotterpotter · 30/03/2010 13:47

Oh yes I know we've been talking about moving for at least 2 years, have even graduated to actually looking for a house, but only on Rightmove, not actually in the flesh, but our house is so far away from what anyone would want to buy we will probably still be here in another 5 years...
