hairy lurkers and mini hairy lurkers are more than welcome to join us for the ceremony. There will be plenty of seats for all

Also, DP home now. Just had a whinge at him about friend's husband not coming and he has suggested that one of my gatecrashers can join us for food. so, how we going to do this??! maybe i should hold a raffle! actually, maybe none of you want to join us for food..hmm... there's a spare child's meal up for grabs as well. oooh or i could hold an auction and sell it to the highest bidder
anyhow, let me know if any of you have any thoughts re this!

Actually, just realised there are a total of two adult meals and one child's meal up for grabs....

I really hate wastage so will be upset if one or two of you don't join us and you don't want to upset a hormonal bride!!

sazz... well given that your DH subcontracted yesterday, I'm sure he won't mind taking over tonight!

RedLentil · 28/03/2010 19:54

With your powers of deduction Cece, you'll go a long way.

GladioliBuckets · 28/03/2010 20:09

Thanks Miamla. Fingers crossed I won't get lost and spend an hour trying to get out of Bristol like I usually do. How much is Satnav these days? Maybe I could ask for it as an early birthday pressie.

Pertelote might be the right shaped family to fill the seat?

Kurt has finally got a third tooth on the bottom row. Still no canines which suggests to me that maybe they shouldn't eat meat til they get all 4 . Ladies, prove me wrong with anecdotes about babies born with fangs please.

oopsandbabycoconut · 28/03/2010 20:13

Miamla - you paint such a lovely picture of yourself

DD in bed at 7.45 and exhausted, we only let her nap for an hour today so will see what the effect is in the morning. I have the midwife early so she will more than likely sleep late.

Just had a yummy roasted cook and all the trimmings for all of us together which is lovely, normally DD eats before us and is in bed by the time DH has recovered from his fry-up, large little lunch sarnies, afternoon tea and sports snacks.

Miamla · 28/03/2010 21:01

oops who did you roast? Gordon Ramsey? Delia Smith? Jamie Oliver?

looks like i've had a reprieve... just discovered that we've run out of black ink so i can't print the images for the favours tonight...shame!

dizzydixies · 28/03/2010 21:08

miamla - what did you decide on for favours in the end?

oopsandbabycoconut · 28/03/2010 21:10

hee hee Miamla - meant to type chook but there is a bit of toenail popcorn stuck in my keyboard under the 'h' key and needs thumping to work. I was going to offer you all homemade New York Cheesecake but nah to you now!

pertelote · 28/03/2010 21:11

Evening. Miamla we would be honoured to fill your gap! Oops' family is also 2+1 though? Or you may have a real life friend or relative you thought you couldn't squeeze in? So a) I am genuinely delighted by the idea, but b) I am not offended if in the last hour and a half another idea has occurred to you...

oopsandbabycoconut · 28/03/2010 21:12

Pert - there will only be DD and I - DH is away in Belfast with work for the whole easter break!

dizzydixies · 28/03/2010 21:14

Oops - you need to send me more details about his Belfast exhibition so I can useitasanexcusetogetawayfromPIL go and support him if we can

Miamla · 28/03/2010 21:24

dizz its a secret (nothing hugely exciting but i think/hope they'll look pretty)

right then...oops and pert, looks like you two need to have a fight chat to sort out who's getting fed

pertelote · 28/03/2010 21:25

Oh how rotten Oops But in that case your need to represent the truckers at the reception is far greater than mine... please go ahead if you would like to.

Miamla · 28/03/2010 21:25

but oops eurgh, i'm sure we've discussed this before but any discussion re toenails is banned!! i've got a bit of a phobia about them

as you were!

oopsandbabycoconut · 28/03/2010 21:30

Dizzy - here there seems to be quite a bit to do feel free to avoid DH if you need to

dizzydixies · 28/03/2010 21:38

oohh thank you there is facepainting so thats the girls and DH happy

dizzydixies · 28/03/2010 22:01

and we're going to see this tomorrow, well I'm taking DD1 and DD2 with a crowd of friends

GreenGardenia · 28/03/2010 23:53

oops that looks fab, I didn't realise that's what your dh was up to, I might take a trip up, ds1 is interested in Titanic stuff, and is on Easter holidays so needs ents!

Miamla you sound remarkably calm and organised, how amazing to think you have less than a week to go . Citing!

I hear you on the not deleting / crossing out phone numbers thing. Voices on answerphones - also too heartripping to delete ime.

Sorry crappy / tiny / infrequent / irrelevant contributions from me over last few days / week.

Hi!

TwilightSurfer · 29/03/2010 02:20

sorry i have to dump.

close relatives expecting their first child have decided to call their soon to be daughter, kenzie. most of you know my eldest daughter's name by now; aibu to think they should try to find something slightly different in pronunciation? of course i can say nothing but geezzzzzzz. i am piss poor liar (ask sazz regarding my reaction to maramite). i will never be able to excitedly say i love their child's name.

luckoftheirish · 29/03/2010 07:40

morning..

loving all the wedding chatter...

going to have to seriously de bug my house!! dd2 still has horrific cough and now dd1 down with temp/sore throat/sore tummy .. so have had enough of poorliness here and dh is less than useless...

would really like him to help out today and what are the joys of running your own business if you cannot take a day to help your wife out?? but no, i will get the usual i'm snowed under.. .. know he is the main breadwinner and he needs to work but that doesn't stop the time off for vegas trips/jollie boys trips/stags etc..

sorry being a moany minny.. guess its a duvet day for my girls today

GreenGardenia · 29/03/2010 07:50

How close are the rels TS?

Lotster maybe you need to present as fait accompli - I know you predict poor response but before dh leaves for work "I know you've probably got a busy week but won't be able to do x y z today because of the girls being ill so can you do a b c and go into work at lunchtime / leave a bit early / use your lunchbreak as otherwise we will have no food / etc"

Present problem, solution and negative results of non-compliance. Tis what I do with one of my bosses.
