Biker headstand, brilliant .

Sazz hope the HR thing went well, you prob don't want to discuss it on here but hope you're happy with outcome.

dizzydixies · 25/03/2010 20:24

no loft here either have to say the study looking great however everything that has to be decided upon yet is now stacked up on dining table to less tidying and more moving shit about the place

crap weather here too, not that I've stepped outside the house - open day at the school tomorrow which sould get me out - feeling a bit down today for absolutely no good reason and took to my bed at about 4pm

buckets - you reminded me of the storm when my best friend and I couldn't decided who's house to hide in so ran between them until one of our mum's noticed and dragged us (soaking wet) inside

VG - am not sure how that pattern would look once streched over my ample thigh

have had a few very rough quotes re consultant ranging from MIL telling DH about £75, to my dad's which was £150 then £90 for x-rays and him remembering that my mother's was £350 per pop [meep]

V pleased to see Riven's success with Dave Cameron on the MN homepage. Have met her on the SN board and she is so very dry and clever and does some very demanding parenting (not without complaint natch LOL, that's why the SN board is kept off Active convos - tis full of mums being shockingly unPC about their kids).

On the other hand am feeling tense and irritable as 'twas on a night just like this, 28 days ago, the eldritch cry of Aunt Flo was heard round these parts .

TwilightSurfer · 25/03/2010 22:21

Sazz, the weather can't really be predicted that far ahead with any great degree of accuracy - the sun will be shining and not a cloud in the sky

TwilightSurfer · 25/03/2010 23:02

I believe the passionate heat between the couple shall be enough to warm all.

sazz poo off!!!

thank you dizz, now you see, you're a lady who speaks sense!

springaporesling · 26/03/2010 02:16

Sazz blardy hell - that's going to be a bit of a shock for me then!

Buckets we too had a big thunderstorm yesterday and lots of lightening. DS seems to have gotten over his fear of the thunder though which is handy considering how much we get and every time it thundered he just said thunder, thunder, thunder at me - the storm lasted for about an hour so was quite bored of saying 'yes, that's right, it is thunder'.....

Packing almost done. DS very restless in the night and up early again I do hope he's going to be ok. Wish us luck!

well its a good job i've got a few of you there to keep me warm then!

morning all

v tired here..meant to be writing list of things to do but too busy procrastinating!

hots thinking of you yesterday, hope it went well

poppysocks · 26/03/2010 09:38

Good luck spring!

Yes, you kick ass girl sazzles. Had my work thing yesterday and all fine. Phew. Nothing nasty for anyone and my area was announced as being completely unchanged with a big thumbs up for where I've got us to. . Only blot on the horizon is that my fantastic assistant who does my job better than me is going to apply for one of the new jobs being created. Right thing for her to do as she's too good to be wasted waiting for me to leave but will be a bugger finding and training up a replacement half as good.

Poor DD1 well and truly in chickenpox's grip and not a happy girly . In fact, was it you springapore who mentioned a chickenpox vaccine? Am going to look into it for DD2 if she doesn't get it in this bout. No signs of spots from her as yet...

The other night I was looking through some old threads of ours - Jun 08ish. Seems that it was LOTI's DD1 who had chickenpox at that time and I have to say that your comment on this thread yesterday CC about having tried to get your DS1 infected having failed a number of times had me ROFL as it was identical to your post in June '08.

GladioliBuckets · 26/03/2010 09:49

Can I just confirm to Miamla that the Botanical Gardens were deliberately planted in a dip with its own weather system, a meteorological enclave if you will. The sun always shines there.

springaporesling · 26/03/2010 10:38

Poppy yes was me - DS had his when he had his MMR.

hotterpotter · 26/03/2010 10:43

Hello lovely ladies. I would just like to thank you all so much for your kind wishes to me for yesterday. We had lots of tears in the morning and lots of drink in the afternoon and I think she would have been pleased with the way things turned out Everyone was in agreement that she was such a special lady and although we will all miss her very much the funeral has done its job and drawn the poison from the wound a little.

The consequence is though that I am feeling dog-rough today and had to come in on the train as I didn't want to be caught drunk driving . Roll on 4.30pm...

Miamla doen't listen to Michael Fish Sazz - according to weather.com it will be partly sunny and 8 degrees on 3rd April in Bristol. Anyway I am fairly sure my birthday weather fairy will come up trumps for you as well as me, she usually orders some fab spring sunshine

dizzydixies · 26/03/2010 12:17

sounds lovely Hots, I'm sure she would have been very proud of the send off you all gave her - to this day I still miss my gran (she died in 2000) but I remember laughing with my dcousin over the chicken drumsticks at her funeral - a funeral wasn't a good funeral without chicken drumsticks according to my Gran and frankly chicken drumsticks still hold a special place in my heart

fed up getting soaked today - tis fecking chucking it down, I'd like to think of it as giving the country a good old scrub before singapore's arrival and Miamla's wedding - my lovely uncle used to say the only time it rained in the area of Spain they lived was when the roads needed washed

Dr was about as much use as a fart in the fog this morning although I understand why everything has to be on hold its depressing when am in pain and stuck being unable to do anything about it. He'll give me a call next week once we've had the scan to ascertain whether or not this is a sticky bean, although I rather suspect that it is not.

DH away back to bed with his man flu, D napping and DD2 and I watching Shrek, well she's watching and telling the story before it happens whilst munching on her apple if I'm honest! She has made me a lovely flower today at playgroup and been carrying about the egg I 'decorated' for her last night as if it is her pfb DD1 away to school with hers which by the look of the others will have put her to shame straight away - gifted and talented at egg decorating I am not must try harder!

dizzydixies · 26/03/2010 12:19

sazz if it is a bit nippet for the wedding I expect all the Hot Mamas who are there to be running about creating kinetic energy to keep the bride all toasty warm

miamla how goes the dress/organising etc - all getting very exciting, can we have a live internet feed?!

poppy sorry to hear about poor M and her suffering, did you managed to get any tea tree cream? please let me know if there is anything I can do to help and well done on the job, great news always welcome

Miamla · 26/03/2010 12:39

oh dizz, why don't you think your bean is sticky?

dizzydixies · 26/03/2010 12:44

previous experience Miamla

now come on with the wedding details please cheer me up and drag me out of my rainy rut please

TwilightSurfer · 26/03/2010 12:52

Spring wishing you safe and happy travels.

Poppy both my girls have had the pox vaccine. It's standard here.

Hots smart lady for taking the train today. It also allows you to not have to think if you don't want to. Glad things were nice yesterday.

Dizzy can you not try the chiropractor in the mean time?

DH home again today and still in bed. Wish I could have taken time off when I was sick.

Miamla · 26/03/2010 12:57

hmm ok, wedding details.... think we're finally getting there! dress isn't finished but surely that's a minor point, right?!!
cake will be ready for collection late thursday eve
chair covers/sashes now being done by a different company because original one was a tit and kept sending me wrong colours!
choir, i think is sorted for ceremony but still need to keep fingers crossed!!
band for evening is booked, apparently but i still need to double check this (we've booked them through an agent and the agent is a TIT. i'm refusing to speak to him anymore, can't stand him so he's DP's problem now!)
erm what else... oh yes, flowers... sorted...probably...i think!
favours - waiting for a delivery today and then guess what i'll be doing on sunday!

oh and DS has just woken up!

hotterpotter · 26/03/2010 13:02

Hell's teeth what am I doing at work, I can barely decide between tea and coffee

Dizzy here's hoping the different feeling is just boyness

Sorry to hear of the manflu going around but if anyone needs a cheer-up have a look at this thread about idiotic driving it has had me snorting all morning
