dd1 not a;sleep til close to 9pm after both me and dh up ad down stairs like hoars drawers ...

anyway after all that me and dh had "the chat".. was very cool calm and collected .. he appologised for laziness, said due to work stress which i guess is understandable.. said i was a fantastic mum but agreed he needed to try harder to ensure i didn't fall apart due to exhaustion.. so a plan has been formulated ...

oopsandbabycoconut · 25/03/2010 08:06

Morning

Dippy eggs all round here.

DD awake at 6 but DH slept in the spare room as he had a work call at 11pm and didn't finish until 3am I told him to disturb me on the pain of death - so he took the clever man's option and slept elsewhere. DD lay next to me and dozed for 20mins then announced the 'birds singing pretty mummy' and proceeded to bounce all over me!

TS - yuck Dominos, universally gross!

Cece - ouch as Dizzy said arnica, arnica, arnica

Dizzy - Morning

LOTI - Yay for good chat, hope things improve according to plan.

RedLentil · 25/03/2010 09:47

Good luck Sazz.es. Off to music group here.

DD2 has already had a little strop about the fact that her coat didn't have a 'nud'. She brought me one with a hood to chnage in to.

RedLentil · 25/03/2010 09:48

I can't type.

TwilightSurfer · 25/03/2010 10:24

dizzydixies · 25/03/2010 13:40

private health insurance will repay 75% of a consultation for ortho up to £390 so will ask the GP to refer me tomorrow - can't be doing with this and being pg and waiting waiting waiting

study/playroom/dumping ground shithole still a work in progress but 3 bin bags away and

RedLentil · 25/03/2010 13:46

Good catch, Loti, and good news on the ortho Dizzy.

This is the only day, I've wanted ds to be in school until 3 as he will be next year. Another's hour's peace would be delicious.

DH's drama club came second in the Cork DramaFest last night. Hurrah!! (With more hurrahs for there being no more rehearsals.

I need sleep.

dizzydixies · 25/03/2010 13:53

ooh well done them, you've inspired me to keep DD1 on the list for the local drama group - it came through this morning as the list is ridiclious - tell DH well done from us and if DD1 becomes an Oscar winner I'll make sure she thanks him in her speech

LOTI - horrible when that happens but don't stall on the what if's - you were there, you caught her and she is fine, tis what you do well as a mum

oopsandbabycoconut · 25/03/2010 14:11

Loti - not a nice feeling when they scare you like that.

Dizzy - well done on the ortho and the hidying/throwing out. Will you ortho do what many of our refferals did and treat you for your first consultation and then transfer you back to the NHS for the follow ups? Ours saw me on the Friday privately and then asked me to phone and make a NHS appointment ofr the follow up 4 weeks later, job done.

DD and I have woke from out nap to find the builders gone and DH has been back for lunch and found us sleeping so tidied up and left or there were very tidy burglars who stole the leftovers from lastnight

dizzydixies · 25/03/2010 14:37

I hope so Oops as my meagre private insurance won't stretch any further

GladioliBuckets · 25/03/2010 16:07

Ooh some excellent thunder and lightning going on here. Hope DH comes home in time for Rainbows so I only have to load 1 child into the car.

I feel the urge to bake as my mum always started us baking cakes when it thundered to cover up the fact she was pooing her pants. She grew up with a grandmother who used to make them cover all the mirrors with sheets and sing hymns by candlelight on the stairs during storms.

TwilightSurfer · 25/03/2010 17:20

Buckets how very . Go cook though and share your wares.

Dizzy I need to be doing exactly as you...but the cleaning shall wait.

Oops are you sure it wasn't the builders who cleaned up while you were sleeping.

Red you've reminded me I wanted to looking into something drama-ish for DD1 for the summer.

Lucky toss out the what if's. You were there. All is well. Be happy. No worries.

Had a two handed lunch ALONE. ICHIBAN!! Yum!!!

OP posts:
oopsandbabycoconut · 25/03/2010 17:39

TS - the builder cleaning up is a possibility but the missing leftovers gave it away

DD and DH playing giants upstairs and I'm 'making' risotto - do you think DH will notice it's not cooking when he comes down?

No thunde nad lightening here Buckets just pissing down!

TwilightSurfer · 25/03/2010 19:17

Hi!

TwilightSurfer · 25/03/2010 19:23

Miamla Thanks for the offer. I'd be broke if I worked so close to Liberty of London. Very cute stuff. Ours is not as fancy since it's "for" a local chain. Anyway...

This is the top.

AND

This is the bottom.

AND

THIS is the top I actually bought today.

GreenGardenia · 25/03/2010 19:53

Evening all, hope your back n hip not too sore today dizzy, well done for all the hidying, I get a shivery chill when I think of all the crap I need to chuck out of this house, a shivery chill combined with paralysis of course. Cannot even visualise attic atm.

Nice shopping TS is that the same Liberty Miamla is talking about? If anyone wants to rock the tattoo look this spring without actually having to have needles stuck in you, or pay for laser treatment in 5 years, feel free to indulge in these. Cannot imagine a universe in which I pay 90 quid for any pair of tights, be they knitted on silver toothpicks from the facial hair of vestal virgins.

Thunder & lightning & cakes, cool, we had dullth, light rain and cloud, boring weather but we did get a nice dampish dog walk in first thing.

oopsandbabycoconut · 25/03/2010 20:01

GG - I would have ladder in those before I left the bedroom! and all without the help of DH

DD in bed, DH in the bath and I am eating cheese and crackers (again)

GreenGardenia · 25/03/2010 20:02

Ooh good idea think will have some cheese.

They are hick aren't they?

oopsandbabycoconut · 25/03/2010 20:05

Not quite my style - I would look like a biker doing a handstand with my legs
