No longer working tomorrow, so going to do my best...

Gingeme, you're not going in by car, are you? Not sure I can face the tube, will depend on sciatica....

fillybuster · 01/03/2010 17:43

There's loads of pirate stuff on ebay Gingeme, and woolworths.co.uk have some excellent (not expensive) outfits too

gingeme · 01/03/2010 19:08

o filly by rain I expect sorry love .
Yeah been looking on Ebay. Not much in the way of adult princess dresses though. Did I mention its for my 40th in November?
The princess dress was a bit nylony in the hire shop iyswim?
George made us laugh tonight. I was cutting Davids hair in the kitchen and dropped the scissors. David said 'Oh Oh' and George said 'were in trouble!'

gingeme · 01/03/2010 19:09

No filly by train....

fillybuster · 01/03/2010 19:42

I used to sing that song all the time...by Shampoo wasn't it?!

fillybuster · 01/03/2010 19:49

Might be worth looking here for adult stuff...I found Tinkerbell and even better Glinda which looks like perfect Disney Princess wear to me And look, here's Snow White!! OK, a bit expensive now I look at the prices, but maybe good if you can't find anything cheaper - they look quite proper ....ooh, getting all excited for you already

JustKeepSwimming · 01/03/2010 20:00

Put 'adult princess costume' into ebay's search, there are loads

mixedmamameansbusiness · 02/03/2010 10:47

Gingeme that is going to be brilliant. I have never been to a fancy dress thing in my life ever,.... not even as a child and always wonder who I would go as.

Guys what time will you leave Coram's field. I am very nearby tomorrow and start uni at 11 and then have break at 1pm. Is there a way I can give someone my number so I know where you are. I will be sans enfants though I am afraid.

gingeme · 02/03/2010 11:55

Thankyou filly they are lovely . not sure about buying one but Ive got a while yet. A few more lbs to lose and £s to save(see what I did there? lol)
Meet up? anyone? Whats happening ladies? Whos coming? Nicky, mixedmamma , me , anyone else? Hope the weathers lovely. Is there a cafe?
Just come back from our first playgroup since before half term. It was nice to catch up and George seemed to be singing and dancing with vigour today
Well time for luncj then off to get my nails done. Musn't look shabby for tomorrow

nicky6 · 02/03/2010 14:11

hi yes near to russell sqare/holborn - yes there is a cafe - i think the stuff there is ok although it is outside not inside there is also a drop in club there for under 5's.
Gingeme of course you can bring dh and ds4
SHALL WE SAY 10.30 ish in Corams fields in the vicinity of the cafe.

Mixedmama how do you want to meet us?

Filly there is parking on meters all around there which is what i am going to do I think.

Hope the weather holds and stays bright and sunny.

fillybuster · 02/03/2010 14:27

I'm going to try to come, but congestion charge + stupendously expensive meters (Nicky, be warned!) mean it depends on my Northern line with buggy ability....

Where in Corams Fields are we going to meet? Its a 7 acre site!!! I know I'll recognise you when I find you, it's the finding you I'm worried about...!

gingeme · 02/03/2010 15:43

We could meet at the playground by the big whirly slide? . I have been looking at the web site. Looks lovely ! Somewhere to take the boys in the summer.
We are going to quickly get weighed then go straight there so should be between 10 and 11.

nicky6 · 02/03/2010 20:14

ok lets meet by the big whirly slide at 10.30 ish and cross our fingers the weather is good.

i will have i phone with me so can pick up posts on line once there so i will check to ensure we do meet.

JKS - are you coming?

anyone else

filly you could get northern line to kings cross and bus down kingsway will take u within 5 min walk.

is anyone else coming or just us 3??

nicky6 · 02/03/2010 20:17

will check on later tonight to see if anyone else coming or if plans have changed

Lilyloo · 02/03/2010 20:50

Hey all have lovely meet up tom
Just wanted to say hope your doing ok IWILL , that must have been very difficult and dealing with it now must be to.

Still hectic here but getting there , hoping for moving date asap and that baby stays put!!
Taking M to toddlers tom though , she needs it! Our local pre school is full until Sept so she won't be starting there until then!!

JustKeepSwimming · 02/03/2010 21:35

Lily - that's a shame about pre-sch, for both of you!

Nicky (we haven't met before have we? sorry if we have )
Yes after much dithering I have decided i am coming, just with H. T can stay here for pre-sch & then play with the nanny in the afternoon. Not sure how it will work out for H and his long after lunch sleep but hey it's just one day....
Filly - i have the baby bjorn carrier thingie, I shall bring it unless you say otherwise before i leave.

Also, I prob will be late-ish though, if i get an after-9 train from here (9.09, arrives Fenchurch St 10.13) then either the tube or taxi across, (prob taxi as TfL's website predicts doom and gloom for too many of the stations around my routes!) which takes best part of half an hour.so 10.45ish.
I shall head for a twirly slide (off to check site for pics and map in a mo!) and see if i can spot you all

PS Remember MamaChris - believe she came to the cafe in North London meetup? - she is pg with twins, saw on a thread about loft conversions, as you do.

nicky6 · 02/03/2010 22:37

JKS - great brilliant. were you at the museum meet when they were 8 months ish with filly - i thought you were...

ok well am off to bed and praying for some semblance of sleep to function properly tomorrow.

See everyone by the whirly slide and will check on line in the morning.

night all

JustKeepSwimming · 03/03/2010 06:59

Oh yes Nicky, had forgotten about that meetup!

H running and shouting, morning exercises...

T got up and went for a wee (standing up!) on his own this morning
by 'eck i think we've cracked it!!

nicky6 · 03/03/2010 08:50

see you all soon x

fillybuster · 03/03/2010 10:23

Sorry ladies...I had hoped to come and my dad was going to give me a lift in, but he's running late this morning and by the time we get there it will be around 11.30/11.45 and I'll get about an hour at the most before we have to try to get home in time to get T to bed and collect ds from school. I fully accept I'm being a total wimp about this, but dealing with the buggy on my own on the tube is just a bit more than I can face today - i'm feeling pretty crap and sick at the moment

JKS - sorry about the Baby Bjorn, think its too late to text you about it now! Hope it isn't too much of a hassle to take it back home with you....

Hope you all have a lovely meet up and I am so so sorry to be missing you this time around xx

gingeme · 03/03/2010 14:43

Afternoon ladies
Nicky6 how is Charlie?
JKS I hope you got home ok. Lunch was yummy. Great suggestion
Hopefuly next time it will be a bit warmer and more ladies will come
only lost 1lb this week I thought it would have been more after my bug last week.
Ah well better than nothing I guess.

fillybuster · 03/03/2010 14:51

Sorry Gingeme I promise to come to the next one if I can drive there with T....the bump aint gonna get any smaller between now and June, and somehow I don't think I'll be going to any meetups outside my bit of NW London from June-August!!

nicky6 · 03/03/2010 19:45

hi there - sorry about this morning - charlie better but was still limping this afternoon but its getting less so i didnt take her to doctors i think she must have just sprained her ankle.

she really didnt want to go home either.

promise to try not to injure my daughter at next meet up!!!!!!!!!!

JustKeepSwimming · 03/03/2010 19:59

Hi all - good day

Nicky - glad to hear she's getting better, was worried for her (& you). Lovely to meet 'little' Noah too

G - fab to see the 4 of you today, your boys are so cool! and thanks to Mr G for getting me more diet coke & putting up with our chat so politely, lol!!

Filly - gutted you couldn't make it, no probs bringing carrier home, was just under buggy.

So to recap:
we met at Corams Fields (def need to go back there in warmer weather), had a play, gatecrashed a music/singing group, went to Nando's for lunch (H fell asleep on the way there and slept through lunch, lol!) then came home. H woke before i got in a taxi and was awake from then until bedtime, but was shattered!! lots of excitement being on the train and running around outside.
Can't wait for better weather to let him have more freedom outside than just walking along the pavement to the corner shops!

Didn't really manage any good photos, but think Mr G might have? did get a good video of H laughing at and stroking the train seat may put it on fb later.

willsurvivethis · 03/03/2010 20:27

Hi all

Very [jealous] at meetup - glad you had fun and that Charlie is ok

For some reason find it hard again to post on here .

Return to work not going too well. Work itself not stressful but me not coping with much and mood in the office bad awaiting probable closure which was expected today but delay again - we need to know whats going on.

Lly thanks for asking - not dealing very well with what happened last week or should i say not dealing with it. Meeting new counselor tomorrow and old one on Friday so that may help.

Sunshine of course as always is Nathan - he now has his walking frame and he is so so so happy. I took him outside on the driveway (think block paved space big enough for five cars if the drivers know each other) and he careered round shouting and pointing at the cars and vans coming past. He cried miserably when dh took him out after his half our was up. Went a bit silly bought him a patience new driver sign and a horn thats too loud and a bell that's ok. And mini cycling gloves as fiddling with gloves and velcro to try keep his right hand on the handle loops, because if he holds it by his side he twists his whole body rigth down to his feet.

Those who haven't seen it yet photo and video of his first go on facebook.

Hope you all ok...
