sorry for ramble full of typos

JustKeepSwimming · 03/03/2010 20:41

LOL IWST - so funny to hear you buying too much extras for his wheels

Meant to ask the other day about how long he can stay in it, half hour a day? doesn't seem much, or half hour at a time several times a day?

Know work is tough, therapy stuff tougher still. Chin up you Will Survive This

AngeChica · 03/03/2010 20:56

hi folks.

Glad you enjoyed london meet.

DH is away on a course. Have had very stressful day at work, and trying to juggle dog and Alek too.

Earlier this evening I heard bangs in our bedroom and saw shadows moving. Convinced intruder in house, rang 999 - a very beefy copper turned up only to find a crow stuck in our bedroom having come down the chimney. can see the funny side now but was scared at the time . Policeman was v deadpan, requested a broom to shoo it out of the window and left.

Hollyoaks, ange_chica @ yahoo.co.uk if you need anything or would like to meet up for a coffee?

Loving Nathan on the move MM!

our local Matalan has a party section with lots of fancy dress outfits for adults and children G.

gingeme · 03/03/2010 21:04

Thanks Ange. Yeah thats where I got my original 70s idea.
Photos on my profile doo da now from todays meet up.

nicky6 · 03/03/2010 21:09

jks - have to admit i was a bit concerned myself as she rarely cries about falling over type things and with so many exciting things to do normally any boo hoo would be over in seconds.

poor little thing has been limping all afternoon and obviously trying not to put weight on her foot but we had a michael jackson disco in the house this afternoon aka me putting MJ on loudly and me charlie and noah dancng round and after a while it seemed to be gettting better and loosening up a bit - i wonder whether tomorrow it will be painful again. -

so apologies for my short appearance but though it best to take her home. she kept telling me this afternoon how her "foot hurt and she could not walk propably"

i thinkk it might be a lovely place to go in the summer and let the kids run riot

fillybuster · 04/03/2010 11:39

Feeling v sorry for myself today...had a really lovely quiet day at home with the dcs in the end yesterday, was feeling all happy and relaxed, then...

...lay down on my bed after dh came home and the dcs were in the bath and did something really horrid. Not sure what, but totally cricked my back and was screaming in pain. DH managed to lift me off the bed standing but my entire spine had seized up, everything hurt like buggery and I couldn't stand/sit/lie down/anything without being in immense pain. Couldn't move arms/legs either, v scary. DH eventually got me onto my side on the bed, propped up with pillows, fed me painkillers, got me ice for my back (i'm crying with pain at this point and still v scared), put kids to bed and called out a close osteopath friend of ours (thank goodness). Apparently, when I stretched I twisted my pelvis and the left side rotated forward but the right hand side stayed behind. Cue immense pain down back, legs etc.

Anyway, he did some clever stuff and I can now, very carefully, move again, but I was in pain all night long and can hardly get to the loo today. DH is working from home to look after me (bless ). Feeling really with myself as it was a bloody stupid thing to do and even as I was about to stretch I remember thinking 'maybe I shouldn't do it flat on my back'....too late!!

My friend tells me that the pain is because everything has gone into spasm and it should ease up over the next 4-5 days...fingers crossed...

Sorry no personals right now...will be back to do those properly later, can't sit like this for very long atm

willsurvivethis · 04/03/2010 12:55

Filly that's horrid especially as you could not move arms and legs and felt so scared!!!

I remember getting SPD in the space of a few minutes (I put my running shoes on 8 months pregs thinking theyd be comfy, forgetting they are adjusted to tilt my pelvis....- and walked up a hill. Suddenly completely debilitated).

Bless your osteo friend - hope he's right and it eases soon.

gingeme · 04/03/2010 12:57

Ouch ouch ouch filly hope it eases real soon.
How is Charlie today Nicky ?
Has anyone heard from Simpson lately? Hope things aren't kicking off on the H front .
Things all well here today. George settled nicely at pre school this morning so fingers crossed he's getting a bit more used to it now
Just got back from my hairdressers. Ive had a perm. Worked out I haven't had a perm in 17 years looks nice. I was getting a bit bored so had to do something before I insisted on a cut.
Well I hope your all well. xx

LaTrucha · 04/03/2010 13:02

I'm very glad you got to an osteopath quickly Filly. I think they are wonderful. I hope it's continuing to feeling better. The problem with being pg is everything's so soft it's easy to do your back in. And scary too. Glad DH is looking after you. And I'm glad I'm not the only one who's a wimp about toddlers and babies on tubes. My childless old friends in London just can't see what the problem is, and although S isn't scared it's just so much of a slog.

Sound like you all had a lovely time yesterday. I didn't realise Coram's Fields had so much to do. It's the sort of place I used to walk past but never went in.

Ange - LOL at the crow. Glad he was nice about it.

IWST - Nice to see you posting and sorry you are finding it difficult. Delighted at the idea of your boy racer though! NExt thing, you'll be getting a little flag for the back and super woofers!

Hope Charlie's foot is better, Nicky.

Dh away for a couple of days and I was very grumpy this morning. He's working so hard ATM, including every Saturday and driving lessons too. I know he's doing it for us (and he kind of has no choice) but it is putting a strain on me and I was a bit fed up. All's fine now so feeling a bit bad about being down when he left. Blame it on the hormones!

He did pass his driving theory test, though. He only had time to study for three days and he got 50 out of 50 in fifteen minutes. Honestly, the man is a work freak. I'ts scary what he can do.

Finally sold my mum's house YAY! Am celebrating by having a small spending spree on the house and actually buying new clothes etc (ususally most things are ebay). I even bought a Jojomamanbebe sleepsuit for the new one. Madness, I know but it's so sweet! Evidence of Sabela's new clothes this morning can be seen on the profile. They were taken before nursery this morning. Doesn't she look grown up! My heart just melted.

fillybuster · 04/03/2010 16:26

Enjoy the new clothes, LaT...and it looks like Sabela is too

Feeling like total shit...lots of pain and can't get comfortable Poo, poo and triple poo...

LaTrucha · 04/03/2010 17:40

You can take paracetamol.

fillybuster · 04/03/2010 19:26

Paracetamol? Pah! I'm knocking back the various co-dydramol and co-codamol tablets we've accumulated over the years....

Lilyloo · 04/03/2010 19:54

Lat at selling your mums house , you deserve a treat

Filly ouch hope it feels easier soon!!

Iwill sorry things are harder again love your posts about N though

Ginge my weightloss is now weight gain. Have been staying with my sis a lot , who as you know is heavy pg and ia m eating with her a 1lb is still good in the right direction!

Nicky poor Charlie

Ange eeh a bird hope it didn't make too much mess!!

JKS glad you managed the meet up , how is H doing now ?

Nothing much to report here. Hopefully my sis gets keys next Wed (her due date) so hopeful for this lo to go overdue!!
Just spending days with her to keep her company and keep her busy.
Am so exhausted in evening not really been on here. Just keeping up with you guys!
Think i have the start of throat infection my sis kids had last week as very sore tonight

gingeme · 04/03/2010 20:56

Lily sore throat here too

mixedmamameansbusiness · 05/03/2010 09:50

Morning all...

The meet up looked fun. I have not actually been into Coram Fields and it is so local so will be taking the boys once weather is a little warmer.

IWST - have you heard from Simps, I know you two chat outside of MN. She has been busy a bit.

Lily - I have put on a stone and a half since hitting goal, and it is completely because I am being greedy and scoffing cakes. Need to sort it out. Have an incentive for BIL engagement party at the end of April and my work trousers yesterday left massive red marks all round my belly

Well my kitchen and bathroom are compeltely finished and we are off to Ikea etc tomorrow to get "stuff".

Have loads of work to get done too but no way am I going to get any studying this weekend I think I am actually going to have to start working in the evenings but I hate working in the evenings. Oh well needs must.

Filly - that just sounds absolutely awful. Really hope it eases up over the next few days.

And LaT - I hate the tube even on my own. I have a pathological fear of being on the escalator with the buggy. I once left a suitcase at the top of the escalator as I just couldnt get it right to get me and it on I would not manage a pushchair. I bus everywhere... even if it takes double the time.

Lilyloo · 05/03/2010 18:30

Am confined to bed , in agony with throat , aching all over , ear ache etc
had to get dp to take day off , he has now taken dc's to il's for the night so i can rest!
Just text to say L complaining of sore throat now

LaTrucha · 05/03/2010 20:18

Well, I'm glad it's not just me and the tube.

Lilyloo- sorry about the throat. Can someone step in to help you out tomorrow? After all, you've been doing your fair share lately.

Great pictures Gingeme - Is that you off on another hair dyeing spree? I don't approve you know! ALthough it does look nice, gingers of the world unite!

Mixedmama- I though you were supposed to be cutting down your hours

IWST - Good tip about the running shoes - although I doubt I'll be donning any!

On that note my ever helpful other brother (i.e. not the loony) thinks that I should take Sabela in the pram for me to jog along the prom. Snurk. I can imagine the sight as SPD sets in to the sound of Sabela howling to be let out of the pushchair, while I collapse in agony at c-section adhesions coming apart. Double snurk. It's so far from reality the only way I can forgive him is that he doesn't have any children so has no clue. I can imagine jogging with a tiny baby on a pushchair (note, I say imagine ) but nearly 6 months pregnant with a toddler I'd simply be a eyesore!

willsurvivethis · 05/03/2010 20:50

Hi all

Filly are you any better?

LaT best leave the jogging for now!!!

Simpson is ok - has a lot on rigth now.

Well my boss phoned this morning - the decision to close my office is final and bar any miraculous vacancies opening up in our Birmingham office I shall be redundant soon. Another new experience. It was time that I left but not good timing iyswim. I have too much on my mind right now. Child minder has handed in notice so visiting nurseries on Tue. we were planning to move Nathan to a nursery anyway, but when my job situation was sorted... But with my redundancy pay we can fund a nursery place for long enough to get a job I reckon.

willsurvivethis · 05/03/2010 20:51

Meant to say Lily sorry you are so poorly - sounds like you have been overdoing things. Seeing that you're also meant to be birth partner please take it easy for a few days xxx

gingeme · 06/03/2010 16:31

A quick one from me...I'm a size smaller
and if anyone fancy the new Alice In Wonderland do go its bloody fantastic

LaTrucha · 06/03/2010 18:37

Well done Gingeme! Shopping trip in order?

JustKeepSwimming · 06/03/2010 19:19

hello everyone.

G - well done you and i thought you looked like you'd lost weight on Wed, def new jeans shopping time - and treat yourself, ok?!
(or only buy cheap ones in case you drop another size...!)

Lily - really hope you are doing better x

um, hi everyone else, brain gone mushy!

T is doing so well with toilet stuff, have finished the chart and bought him his last prizes today plus given him a trophy (came with an ebay bundle of cars pre-Christmas and i kept it back thinking it would be handy)
only 3 accidents this week, all poos when he's been on the way to the loo but just too slow.
(had to play Hunt The Poo earlier when he announced he had a poo in his pants but it fell out...! luckily was still in his trousers!!)

H generally doing well, trying out few more new noises and sooo interested in trying to talk, just waiting for some words....only one more week of Epilim left yey (then just on Keppra).

Been into town - for toilet prizes - then to a pub for tea, tried to go to a new 50's diner place but it was full, will have to try another time.
Boys in bed - though i can hear noises from upstairs. Hoping for a quiet & early night as still suffering from a 4.55 start from T yesterday! - he needed a wee...i've tried explaining he can go and go back to bed without having to share the news with the whole house

nicky6 · 07/03/2010 20:08

Hi all charlie much better and not moaning about foot but she seems to be walking occasionally with it gong a bit inwards so i might take her to a and e tomorrow to get an x ray.

Filly - it will ease. Its something that used to happen to me a lot but only neck shoulders and back - which was bad enough. Last time was when Noah was 3 weeks old i was breastfeeding and so painful i tensed up as he latched and that was that. Muscles go into spasm - my physio wont treat for 48 hrs to let spasm settle will then get better by 5-7 days. i have to do lots of stretching exercises to keep it at bay.

Been back to docs with Noah - doubled dose of gavisgon along with ranitidine and domperidone poor little thing. had a good night the friday but last night quite bad again. If no better by friday then another appointment and she is going to refer for a chest x ray and a paediatric gastrointerologist. So will wait and see. To be honest anything for a bit of sleep!!!

Well done gingeme for the weight loss - I need to lose half a stone my mum is getting married on 2nd may really want to lose it so i can buy something nice . thing is so knackered finding the last bit hard.

anyway signing off now. Hope everyone else is well

mixedmamameansbusiness · 08/03/2010 12:37

Morning all.

Lily - so sorry you are ill, it is awful when you are confined to the bed. Hope you are feeling better. And you too Filly.

Gingeme - well done. I started again yesteday and had a good day despite MIL trying to force feed me curry that I really didnt want and managed o resist and hve a chocolate digestive

BIL engagment at the end of April so a dress size and about 7lbs would go down nicely.

LaT - I meant increasing my studying hours not my actual work hours.... sorry asnt very clear was I.

JKS had to laugh at your post about letting T know he doesnt have to inform the whole house and playing hunt the poo.

hello to veryone.... am off to make a coffee and some deep reading.

LaTrucha · 08/03/2010 13:29

Mixedmama - are you studying at UCL? From what you said about the meet up it's possible, although could be Birkbeck, SOAS etc too. Nice to think of you wandering round there. It's my onld stomping ground.

Nicky - glad Noah seems to be getting treatment. Sorry he's still finding his stomach difficult. Good news about Charlie.

JKS - LOL hunt the poo. So that's why I'm not toilet training yet!

Lily - any better?

Can I just have a 'Sabela is so fussy' rant again. Sigh. I love cooking and would make anything for her but all I seem to make is pasta and tomato at the moment, plus toast, cheese, potato, Weetabix. I'm sure she eats more things, but her old favourites of sweetcorn, salmon and pesto seem to be off the menu now. Most of the time I just take it in my stride, but today she wouldn't eat her bloody tomato pasta because the cheese wan't melted enough and she found a sliver of onion not blended in and it just made me so sad. I wish I had been clever enough never to have followed the HV advice I had a 8 months. She's been this fussy ever since. Maybe she would have been anyway, but I am fed up of kicking myself.

I'm pregnant too, don't forget, so liable to get my knickers in a twist.
