Bramshott · 06/01/2010 13:02

Sledging indeed! I took a picture, but need to work out how to get it from my new camera onto the computer.

oooggs · 06/01/2010 19:39

well snow was thick today (well thick for the south

I got half way to nursery and it was falling fast so I turned around as would hate for them to have been stuck there. It is 12 miles away in the next county

On way back dh rang to say ds1 school shut so I had them all home today

can't wait to see photo of the boat Bramshott

Cool a joint party sol - when are we coming

we have hardly any snow compared to the rest of the country but we get it so infrequently that we don't know what to do

Sexonlegs · 06/01/2010 19:56

Evening ladies

Oooggs, good to see you my lovely. Which County then- Cornwall?

B's school is shut tomorrow - was open today! I am a bit surprised it is closed tomorrow, and also stuck as I am due in to work tomorrow. May be taking B with me and she can play on her ds!!

Hope everyone is ok.
xx

oooggs · 06/01/2010 20:04

We live in Cornwall & ds1 schools in Cornwall but nursery (& my work) and dh work is in Devon.

I am not that bothered about the school being shut tomorrow just hope I can get to nursery even if it is only for the afternoon so I can whizz and do some bits

Sexonlegs · 06/01/2010 20:34

Oh I see

Oooggs, Dippy and SB, can you check your FB mail please.

StealthPolarBear · 06/01/2010 20:37

hi everyone
snow majorly annoying me here
grrr

AngeG · 06/01/2010 21:11

Hello everyone. Snow day here today, another one tomorrow!
Sounds like you've had fun Bramshott, looking forward to seeing the photo!
Sol - can't believe you're going to be 40 or your dh you both look so young... You lucky things, what's you're secret??

oooggs · 06/01/2010 21:13

Ange you know the secret, you are using it yourself

have to pop, L is crying, not like him

AngeG · 06/01/2010 21:21

Thanks oooggs, but I'm sure I've aged loads since I turned 30. I see lines around my eyes and I've found the first few grey hairs
Where is everyone? Dh is asleep and snoring in bed next to me so I've got no chance of sleeping for a while and no one is here to chat to me!
I'll have to chat to myself instead

AngeG · 06/01/2010 21:28

I'm going to fill the thread on my own!
Dh and I were supposed to be watching a film together.
How has everyone been with the snow? Poor jake went to a friends for tea yesterday and ended up being brought home by a random parent and it took 3 hours to do a journey that would normally have taken 15 minutes max!! He got home at 9pm!

Dh had to abandon his van after he tried to follow a police car up a hill and it rolled back into him!! Luckily no damage but he didn't want to risk driving and further so walked about a mile to get home (with no coat I add) but he did have a hi vis vest

We have a small slope down the road to our house and so far no one has been able to
make it out!

AngeG · 06/01/2010 21:29

any further!
Am I boring anyone yet??

AngeG · 06/01/2010 21:30

No one wants to talk to me

oooggs · 06/01/2010 21:38

ange - I'm back - poor lamb, very unlike him, must be his teeth, gave him calpol & rocked him to sleep

AngeG · 06/01/2010 21:41

Hi oooggs Poor L. Hope he settled for the night now. Does he wake in the night normally?

oooggs · 06/01/2010 21:41

Its normally me who falls asleep during films

I feel like I have aged in the last 2 weeks, well since my last birthday. But I am going to do something positive with a new haircut, makeup and wearing different clothes.

I have some really nice trousers that I would class as casual-ish work wear. But if I am not working I may as well wear them now with casual tops. Tried it last week and dh commented (DH never comments!!!!) so that made me feel better

AngeG · 06/01/2010 21:42

Hi oooggs Poor L. Hope he settled for the night now. Does he wake in the night normally?

oooggs · 06/01/2010 21:42

Nope normally sleeps 12/13 hrs right through I never used to believe it when people said their babies did that as our other three had night feeds until nearly 2 and still sometimes wake now .

AngeG · 06/01/2010 21:45

Ikwym! I've been wearing makeup much more regularly I never used to wear it unless out for the evening. Have to factor in time to put it on before the school run! Have recently had fringe cut in which some lovely people have said makes me look younger! It hides the lines on my forehead!!

AngeG · 06/01/2010 21:47

That's fantastic! Must make life easier for you especially when dh working.

oooggs · 06/01/2010 21:50

Whats the fringe like? Is it a full one or a side one? Something I am considering.

Yes time is of course a factor (didn't you know I have 4 children to get ready in the morning ) - so I like to sounds of mj and her very quick 'slap'

AngeG · 06/01/2010 21:55

Did have a side fringe but don't think it suited my face that well so have gone for a proper one! Will try and upload some photos so you can give your verdict

AngeG · 06/01/2010 22:00

Can't do it as it won't upload photos from my phone, will try and do it tomorrow! I've also changed my hair colour,I've gone red!! Not totally convinced went very vibrant to start with and now I'm trying to tone it down a bit

oooggs · 06/01/2010 22:02

that would be great

oooggs · 06/01/2010 22:05

wow red!!!! I am not brave enough to change the colour. I have never dyed it since I had it sprayed pink & green at the village fete when I was about 9.

Parents went mad, especially as it took a week to wash out my hair was very very blonde then!!

AngeG · 06/01/2010 22:06

Suppose I better try and get some sleep dc don't get the idea of lie in yet
Thanks for coming back to talk to me, I do miss you all. We should try and meet up nearer the summer maybe??
